Thanks for this topic moni!! It's cool to have also some positive topics instead of the usual bitching... - The music!!! For my taste there is amazing stuff around. First of all goa trance is making a comeback with artists like Filteria and the Suntrip label in general. Then there is stuff like Nystagmus that's also amazing to me and lot's of other stuff I really like. Sure there is also crap around but I find more stuff comming out right now that I want to buy than 2 or 3 years ago. - I don't go to parties that often but what I can say is that most of the big artists come to Switzerland so I would be able to catch what I want when looking for a party. There are also huge and very small parties. Nearly everything you desire is available here... - Open-minded people! The last (and only!! ) party I've visited this summer was a festival with different stages (remember trance, tekkhouse, techno and psy) and all the different people were getting along just great. Even when the cops turned down the music at the morning it was just so cool to see that no matter if it were house people and psy people together everybody was just nice to each other.

True. But if you tell somebody you dislike that you love him/her that's hardly overemphasizing. That's more like forgetting yourself...

The feelings the rise in me are not false or faked at all. Even when I'm fully loaded I'm not running around and telling strangers I love them or tell people I dislike in "real life" I like them. If you can't tell real feelings from faked ones on MDMA it's really better if you don't take it anymore.

Maybe... But I don't mean only about drugs, more a general closed-mindedness if that word exists...

Just for the record, not a special kind of drug but the PEOPLE ruin the scene. Even in the good old days people not only used psychedelica but also E and other drugs. I personally take E at parties and that doesn't mean that I dance to everything. I do like full-on (some of it) but I also like some progressive, of course old-school but also a lot of other styles. I've also taken acid at parties and I can say that music is still the most important thing for me at parties. I can take as many Es at a party, when I don't like the music because it's not my style then the drug (also not acid for example) doesn't make it better. In fact it's making it even worse and I end up sitting in a corner and beeing damn bored or going home and having a good time there. And I'm not the only one feeling like that. This leads me to the original question: what is ruining psytrance for you. As I have said above not a special kind of drug or anything is ruining me but some people. I don't like people who are supposed to be open minded but in fact are not. Means (for me) they are judging people without knowing them. Like looking at their clothes and allready making their mind up about the person wearing them. People who think that all people taking one kind of a drug (or drugs at all) behave the same. But also people who only going to the parties to take drugs and don't care about the other people and the music and everything else but the drugs. Or people who are friendly in your face and bitch about you when you turn your back at them. Lately it seems that a coke wave is entering the psy parties in my area. I haven't been to a lot of parties but that's what I've got told. I also don't like that very much, mainly because there are a lot of people who behave agressive and stuff. If you take coke and have fun it's up to you but if you take it and start molesting people I'm having a problem. Guess that's all that's in my mind right now about it...

Oh yes, New Order! When I first saw the Blue Monday video on MTV I was blown away (please not, the old MTV England), even when electronical music wasn't something new then. But it's a very intense song, still love... And Howard Jones, hehe... I have to add that I still like this old 80ies stuff like Duran Duran and so on. And please people, listen to Mr. Nemo (oh, TEKK I mean): Anne Clark makes great music. I just now a few songs but they all are over the top. I have the Total Eclips remix on vinyl and it's just great!

Minimal is around for quite some time now and it is getting more known lattely. I still think that it is more than just a trend or fashion. But I don't like it at all, it's not music I understand. To me it sounds just like a beat with some noises over it. But I guess this is not really a surprise since I don't like a lot of progressive so minimal is far away from what I like.

Could be possible (the mullet I mean). It's a very trendy hairstyle in Europe at the moment. And I don't mean with the white trash but with the "trendy" house people and all. Oh my...
