  1. Alien vs. The Cat - Metalizer Remix I really like that track, nice synthline.
  2. It's hard to say. I know a lot of people that first listened to trance, then "outgrow" it (as if it would be immature to listen to trance ) and changed to techno and now mainly listen to minimal stuff. Don't know if drugs are the problem. Some people in the psy scene complain about the wide spread use of coke, but other scenes like the minimal or progressive scene face the same problem. It's a trendy drug and not as expensive as it used to be, so if it would be only the drugs then nobody would listen to emotional goa anymore. I also use MDMA and I still think it "works" the best with melodic stuff. Full-on (some of it, I'm not talking about Skazi) is nice but old-school goa is perfect for me. Same goes for acid. Maybe the problem with some people is that they listen only to one style of music at a time and sooner or later they get bored with it and have to move on.
  3. Sure they have, especially rock. I mean there are even casted kid rockbands in the likes of Thake That and New Kids On The Blocks (just with guitars). They don't get as famous as classical bands like Rolling Stones or whatever but they do have their piece of the cake. Skazi is also not that famous, the scene is just way smaller than for example the rock scene, so it's easier to get on top.
  4. Some stupid local radio show with morons as moderators. My co-worker will leave at 5 o'clock (in 3.5 hours) and I will finally be able to listen to some nice psy.
  5. They had a concert at my hometown last years, unfortunately I've missed it... Damn I envy you!! Sounds like a great show and I love their old tunes (don't know much of the newer ones besides one of the Tour de France tracks). Kraftwerk is a must for every admirer of electronic music.
  6. When I mean poor album then I mean it's poor because I rarely listen to it. Not the music on it is poor and bad. Just to make that clear. :-) I guess time really is an important factor. When I listen to music I mostly pick my favourite albums or new stuff even if there are tons of other albums that have some nice tracks on it.
  7. Somehow I can't do that. Sure I have some stuff for trade or sell I don't like but there are albums I have that only have one great track and I still need to keep it. But I consider myself as collector and not only listener, so I guess it maybe makes a little difference...
  8. At the moment I'm moving my CD collection to a friend so he can listen to the stuff and decide what he likes. While flipping through the CDs (I've started with the compilations) I've noticed that I have a lot of CDs I've only listened four or five times after buying and then rarely ever again. It's not even that I dislike the stuff, I'm far from trading all those CDs or anything, I just don't listen to them (same is for some vinyl). I've decided to pay more attention to all the CDs I own and so today I brought some of those poor albums to my work so I can listen to them (at the moment I'm listening to Mr. Peculiar - Elements). I feel like I need to pay more attention to my stuff instead of buying new stuff all the time. Do you listen to all your stuff more or less regular or do you stick with the extraordinary stuff?
  9. I had this in the mail: Shpongle - Nothing Lasts... But Nothing Is Lost http://www.discogs.com/release/462630
  10. Hehe, the second CD is nice, didn't listen to the rest. But Bonzai is a classic label so I know what to expect.
  11. I had the following stuff in the mail yesterday: Dancing Devil - Wired & Ready http://www.discogs.com/release/427763 v/A - 12 Years Of Bonzai Music (3xCD) http://www.discogs.com/release/370920 The Dancing Devil albums rock if the rest is as good as the first three tracks.
  12. The above mëntioned vinyls have arrived today, nearly all look like new. Me be happy... Besides that a package from psyshop.de has arrived, including the following records: Ion - Ionized http://www.discogs.com/release/388048 Lish - Free Fall http://www.discogs.com/release/409721 Alien vs. The Cat - Space Jam http://www.discogs.com/release/302850 v/A - Apsara http://www.discogs.com/release/466996 v/A - Light (Shiva Space Japan) Bulletproof - Tainted Love / Blue Monday 12"vinyl
  13. Judging from the samples I'd say the Hallucinogen track sounds nice. The Antidote track also seems to be good but the rest is not my cup of tea. Don't know if I'm going to buy this.
  14. Are there any samples available from the whole compilation? I'd be interested in buying it, a new Hallucinogen tune is always interesting...
  15. Got a new CD, this time it's metal and nothing psy: Soilwork - Figure Number 5 http://www.discogs.com/release/381289 It's great music, hard but with melodic refrains and even some loops on top of it.
  16. If Shiva appears for some stomping I'll be the first in line to dance with him!
  17. My god, he posted the topic in the wrong forum, so what?. Why can't just somebody move it and then it's ok? No need to bitch around, everybody has PMS here, even the males?! I'd immediately attend the party for some days if it would be near me. No problem with that.
  18. I also thought so but it seems that it's a normal band and they decided to split up. I'm listening to hard rock and heavy metal the whole day. My co-worker is a metalhead and brought along some cds. First the new album from Brucke Dickinson (singer of Iron Maiden), that was nice. Then an album from Soilwork, excellent stuff, orderd the album myself because I like it so much. And now we are listening to the newest Judas Priest album, well it's ok but not really my thing to be honest.
  19. Your descripction of Ion - Ionised sounds very nice, I'm going to check out some samples soon! Hope it fits my taste.
  20. I'm listening to the new Morcheeba album. They got a new singer but I like her voice a lot, even if it sounds different (deeper) than the other one's. They music also sounds different, more guitars and stuff than on Charango. But it's a great album from what I can say so far.
  21. Hard to name three, there are so many new lables around... When talking about labels that are still alive I would name the followings: Twisted Compact Tip World (I have a lot of their records so I have to name them) I also adore the old stuff of Dragonfly, BNE and Hommega.
  22. Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom Hallucinogen - Twisted All of the tracks on those albums are just superb for me.
  23. Got a bunch of new CDs yesterday, no psy but other great stuff: Wir sind Helden: Von hier an blind http://www.discogs.com/release/433353 The Killers: Hot Fuss http://www.discogs.com/release/368410 Morcheeba: The Antidote http://www.discogs.com/release/452559 Godiva: Call Me Under 666 I allready know the Godiva and the Wir sind Helden CD, both are great.
  24. Guess you are right about that. When I read comments about the poeple attending psyparties (comments from EP for example) in other countries I'm happy we have still a hippie like scene in Switzerland. Even if I don't go to parties that much...
