Thanks for the infos. I'm happy about any linkt to a shop or anything else about psy I guet. I will post them in my blog so it doesn't matter which area they are in.

A friend of mine, living in the US of A, is having troubles finding CDs and also infos about parties and everything. I would really appreciate it if you could post links to decent shops in the US, labels or a party calendar. Just everything about psy in the US. I don't know where he is located so just post everything you know. I know there are some links in the links section but some of them are rather old (even Israelism is still listed) and I don't have a clue which one is the best. Thanks for your effort!

If you say melodic maybe it's stuff like 1200 Mics? Or maybe try out the Timeless compilations from Utopia Records. From your description it could be nearly everything.

Those two tracks are down-tempo if I remember right. If you look for similar tracks then try out The Messenger by Jörg on Mushroom. It's a collaboration between Infected Mushroom and DJ Jörg from Shiva Space Technology. It's a bit similar to Lost Symphony.

I guess it was around 2000 when I first heard about goa. I was enjoying nightlife and E every weekend, mainyl in clubs are at trance/techno parties. Then one day my best friend took me to a small indoor party her brother was organising. She told me it was goa and he was one of the DJs, I haven't heard of Goa before but didn't really care. We went there, it was fantastic (the music and the deco and the party) and since then I'm loving it. We were still going into other clubs but during the summer we visited mainly outdoor parties and I got more and more familiar with the sound. Started to buy CDs and later also vinyls and of course I still do that now. Unlike many others I still like trance and I still visit trance parties today. But for sure not every weekend. I love psy and goa but there is also enough space in my heart for good trance.

And why he did that?

The tracklist looks nice (I like full-on), I don't have most of the tracks so I don't see a reason not to buy it.

Very sad news indeed, I adore their old compilations and I also have some of their newer EPs. No more Transient autumn sales, no more Transient at all. I hope the other English labels like Dragonfly, Phantasm and Twisted are ok.

A tripple psy CD is always nice. And if it's a benefit CD it's even better. Let me know when it's available.

v/A - Space Mantra Yahel - Waves Of Sound

I got the Protoculture album in my last stock of ordered CDs and I really like it. The style reminds me a bit of Blue Vortex and I think it is really nice morning music. And Basilisk's review is very good, not much to add. My rating is a bit higher: 7.5/10.

If you like the Blue Vortex album then also try Protoculture - Refractions. I'm listening to to it right now and it sounds a bit similar from the style. Verrrrry nice stuff!

Mh, I like a lot of full-on artists (that does not mean every single track but a lot). My favourites are (if they are considered full-on) Space Cat, Vibe Tribe and other projects from the Utopia label (Sixsense and the likes), IM, Talamasca, Zorba and 1200 Mics. I also like some tracks of GMS, some Astrix tracks, some Alien Project tracks, well there are rarely full-on artists that I don't like at least one single track. Ok, I haven't heard anything by Skazi I really love, but I haven't heard his albums, just single tracks.

As much as I know Hardstyle is a form of Trance with simple, hard melodies. I can't tell the exact definition but most of the tracks sound like slowed down hardcore.

What do you mean with that? I'm not that much on Isratrance to understand this.

I think what Trolks says is right. Nobody is against the critiziseing itself as long as it is an a proper manner.

I also voted for hardstyle, but even there I find some tracks I like. In the rest of the styles mentioned I have a lot of tracks I like, I can listen to nearly any kind of music.

I'm listening to Raja Ram's Stash Bag 3 again and I have to say I've found another track that is nice: Hypersonic - Every Single Sound. Like the melodies and the general feeling of it.

Reminds me a bit at the Streetparade in Zürich. A lot of people try to dress as hillarious as possible. I have to admit that for a special day like Streetparade it is funny to watch. But if the majoritiy at psy parties would always dress like that I wouldn't enjoy it...

Since I agree with ABN I'll reply to your post. Hope you don't mind. Of course you may have your own opinion and tell about it, we have a freedom of speach here!! There is nothing wrong about your comment, I guess it wasn't the one ABN was refering to (at least I wasn't when I agreed). For me it's about some general "vibes" on this board. Like feeling elitaire because we are psy people and looking down to other genres, stuff like that. But there is difference between dislikeing an artist and tell about it and bashing. Bashing (from my point of view) is if you dislike an artist and calling him/them names and use every possible way to bitch about it. Especially if you assume him about bad things just because you don't like his style. Like he/them is/are just in it for the money, he/them is/are traitors because they no longer make psy and stuff like that.
