  1. Asian Bud Nation: Exactly what I think about the whole bashing thing. I won't stop coming here but it starts to get annoying...
  2. And what about Switzerland then?! Blue Vortex, Rumble Pack, Subconsciousmind, DJ Thujon, Silent Sphere... The Swiss wave is coming! Anyway, I voted for Israel. Not so much because of the new stuff but because they have so much old classic artists. But France and England come close...
  3. At work I have to listen to the radio if my co-worker is around. So no goa for me at work. I would say I listen to goa for an average of 2 hours a day.
  4. I personally like the 1200 Mics album. Is is really not groundbreaking or anything but is nice melodic music like the two other 1200 Mics albums before. They have their style and stick to that. Abou the Raja Ram's Stash Bag: There allready is a review in the review base in which Mars rants about the compilation. I don't think it is that bad. It's the typical 08/15 full-on trance you here a lot nowadays. There are two tracks I like on it: the one from 1200 Mics (High Paradise) and one GMS tracks (Todo Mundo). The GMS track has a nice break with spanish vocals and the 1200 Mics track I really like a lot. It has a part with the Peter Gun melody in it and I like the other main melody. The rest is not really worth mention. Not bad but not really special.
  5. You live in a town called Salem? Well, if that doesn't remind me of the Stephen King novel Salem's Lot...
  6. I just love melodies so my list tends to be huge. Think I'll cut it down to the absolute favourites: Yahel - For The People (the main synth lead) Yahel - Waves Of Sound (all the melodies) Infecte Mushroom - Mush Mushi (the twisted, screaming melody) Hallucinogen In Dub: Solstice (the melody at the beginning) Hallucinogen: LSD (the combination of all melodies, special favourite is the melody at the end) Hallucinogen: Shakey Shaker (the twisted melody) MWNN: Teleport (the main melody) MWNN: Floor-Essence (the main lead synth) Green Nuns Of The Revolution: Atomic Armadillo (the 303-melody) Bassline Baby: Altered States (the 303-melody) Vibe Tribe: Frog'n'Roll (main melody) Pleiadians: Time Dilation (all the melodies, my fav. Pleiadians track)
  7. I got this album on Sathurday so maybe it might be to early for a real review. But I've listened to it several times and so far I can say the following: I really like that sound. As some of you allready have said it's very melodic. You call it cheesy but I call it emotional! It really gets to my heart and I can imagine dancing to this sound at a party. Of course it is even better at an outdoor party with the sun going up but I also like to listen to this at home. Even with the melodies it feels still very psychedelic for me. I'll give it some more playing time and make another comment here later. But so far I really like it! I've forgott to add my favourite track: 8 - Frog'n' Roll and 10 - Adish. Adish is amazing, even if I'm not really into downtempo/ambient stuff.
  8. It's all about taste. I mean I like a lot of commercial trance music and I have a lot of vinyls I love as much as I love my psy collection. So it's not so hard for me to understand if an artist changes to another style.. But that of course doesn't mean you have to like it. To each his own, I hope you still have enough psy you like even if some artists change.
  9. That's true, but how do you know that GMS or Yahel or IM make the music they are making now just for the money? Maybe you assume that because you don't like their music or for other reasons. But as much as I know you don't know annyone of them personally. Just because some people here dislike the style or the change of a style About Yahel for example: I've seen him DJ twice and to me it seemed that he was really enjoing his music. Ok, this was three years ago (I guess when his third album was released), maybe it has changed now. But just because he is now making Trance instead of Psy does not automatically mean it's just for the money. There are people making trance for the love of the music, even if the psy people very dislike trance and think they are somehow elitaire to commercial trance.
  10. And here we go again: another artist bashing thread... I thought that this forum was over the Yahel bashing (I remember a time maybe about three years ago when there where a lot of threads about how bad yahel is), but seems like I was mistaking. It's funny how the oh so open-minded goa people use every chance to blame artists (be it IM or Yahel or GMS or Skazi) for all the grievances in the scene. They just make music after all, it is us people who label them psy and book them for the parties. It's a bit off topic but I don't think that the artists are to blame for the things that go wrong in the scene (or at least not the artists alone, they are just one part of the scene). Of course there are copycats around making boring music. But the scene is getting bigger and bigger and also more commercial. Nearly every organisator wants to make as much money possible and make bigger parties. No wonder there are also people with a behaviour that doesn't reflect our spirit. I mean the more advertisement is made, the more "unpsy" people comme to our parties. Psy is no longer underground, it's accesable for everyone. It even gets really trendy. If you dislike that the only thing is to make your own small underground parties.
  11. Sounds nice, looking forward to the album. The Soulseeker comp. is on my wishlist, hope Avarox will get it soon. So good look with your sounds!
  12. @ Rumble Pack: No, I didn't mean you at all, I was talking to SpaceTime 2012!! Don't worry... And keep up the good work, I like your new Rumble Pack track on the Dtect CD (from the magazine), nice style. Would be great if you could make a full album! D Schwyzer wüsse äbe no wie me gueti Musig macht!!
  13. I got the unmixed version of this comp and I do agree that the tracks on it are the normal 08/15 full-on tracks. With two exeptions: 1200 Mics - High Paradise (that's the reason why I've bought this comp) and GMS - Tudo Mundo. I don't care if High Paradise is truly psychedelic or not, I've heard it at a party and enjoyed it very much. It's fun to dance to and also to listen at home. The GMS track is also very good. The break with the spanish vocals makes the track special for me, the rest is typically GMS sounding. Another track that cought my attention is Nibiru - Paranoid. The guitar part is from an old Black Sabbath song and it was nice to recognise it. It's not that special but still nice. I don't think this album is that bad, it's just the regular full-on sound that allready exists on hundreds of other albums and compilation. But if there weren't for High Paradise I wouldn't have bought this album. I'd give it 5/10.
  14. I've found two new comps besides Timeless I adore : v/a - Natural Waves Of Sound 002 (Compact) v/A - Blue Leprechaun (Compact)
  15. It's like Basiliks says it: Yahel has started to make commercial trance for a long time ago. And I don't see the problem in it: it's the decission of an artist himself what music he wants to make. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
  16. According to the sample the track together with Hallucinogen rocks. I'll sure buy the album if the track disappears from UNS2.
  17. I haven't heard his newest album but I like his old melodic stuff a lot! I also have the Teleport RMX vinyl from Dragonfly and one of the remixes (not the progressive one) is one of my favourite tracks ever. For me an artist doesn't have to change if he makes good music. But I do have some vinyls from him (I'm not sure if I really still have them of if I sold them) that were more on the progressive site of things. I didn't like them much.
  18. You can order the magazine on trance-shop: http://www.trance-shop.com/de/catalog/prod...roducts_id=4355 Guess I will do that.
  19. There are several I like a lot, if I had to chose one I go for Hallucinogen. I know it's clichée but I like the old-school sound with lots of layers. To bad there are no new albums...
  20. Looks like they still work on the site. As soon as a subsciption is possible I want one. I just hope they will still send out the first issue later.
  21. I myself don't expect them to make an old-school album. But I hope for something melodic and not some minimalistic beats.
  22. My favourite is v/A - Timeless from Utopia Records
  23. I voted for the deserted building. In the summe there are so many parties in the forest I wouldn't mind another location from time to time. But the forests sure have they charms!
  24. I'm very interested in this mag, is it available in Switzerland? Or can I order it over the internet? Seems like it's a japanese mag when I look at the cover.
  25. I like some of the Synthetic tracks and also some of Dado's. Even if they are not my favourite. So I have some hops for the new Transwave tracks... But I guess new Transwave will not sound as the old Transwave, but I will sure give it a try. Maybe there is really some kind of retro goa wave starting with new melodic releases...
