  1. I voted for the Full On genre, but that doesn't mean that Astrix or IM are my favourite Artists (but I do like some of their stuff). But there is also a bit more creative Full On stuff available if you look close enough. And of course I like the old-school Goa!! And Tiesto sound. Well, basically everything with moving melodies.
  2. Oh and I forgott to mention Son Kite. This is definitely not my cup of tea!!!
  3. Exactly my kind of thinking, it's all about taste... @psystructure: I understand what you mean, but don't you mean it's a bit arrogant to say ALL the bands and project from 2004? For me there was a lot of good stuff released this year. And I doubt that you heard every single comp or album that came out so far. And to get back to the topic, here some stuff I can't get into: Saikopod X-Dream Planet Ben (the Trippy Future Garden Album didn't touch me at all, maybe I should give it another try) new Etnica stuff all the Midi Miliz, Spies, Delta and so on stuff
  4. Maybe you also want to try the Waves Of Sound album by Yahel. Especially the tracks Waves Of Sound and For The People. Very nice melodic israeli trance. And the track Jamaraqui from Mystica is also great.
  5. @ RTP: When speaking about Wolfsheim: the best track ever is Kein Weg Zurück. I could cry when listening to the lyrics of it. But it is not a trance track.
  6. Tatsu

    Violin?

Maybe it's Deedrah - Reload, it has a violin part in it.
  7. So, I also got this comp (from Psyshop), it is nice but I also would rather call it trance (from the early days of course) than acid. It's nice and quite soft but with lot's of melodies. Good for homelistening.
  8. For me the download worked, but I don't have a clue what track this is. Sorry!
  9. Well, nice chance to change my avatar...
  10. Jaia - Mai Mai Eyal Barkan - Forever Love (hope this is not too cheesy for you) The Timeless compilation from Utopia Records has something very sentimental for me (especial from track 3 on). But it's modern full-on, so I don't know if that does it for you.
  11. Well, I too think it is ok to play with MTV bands as long as IM or whoever else still make their own music. If MTV wants them to play and pays them, so why not? As long as they don't dictate them what to play or change their style what's the difference by playing the same music at a psy party or at an MTV party. It think it can do good if people who only listen to MTV hear something different at a party than the usual well known stuff. And I really doubt that IM just because the play with MTV bands now are willing to stop writing songs and playing whatever the majors want. I mean there are also artists played on MTV who write their own songs. Not every single song played on MTV is commercial crap (yes, most of the songs are, maybe about 95% of the songs, but not all).
  12. Sounds interesting, if it's available on psyshop I will give it a listen.
  13. I don't know if he is overrated or not. I like his album and some of the tracks he released on several compilations. He has some talent for sure, but his psytrance is not the most original or the most inovative. But as much as I know he is still quite young, so there will be enough time to develop.
  14. There is nothing else I can do than agreeing to what the other reviewers allready have told about this album. It is an absolut masterpiece, even better than Synsun. It doesn't remind me as much on Classical Mushroom as Synsun does, but it is abolutely epic in a different way. All the tracks sound so complete it's perfect. Not the normal full-on clones we get today (even if i like some of those). This really seems to be a good year, hanging around again at Psynwes for maybe about two weeks and I discovered a shitload of great new albums. My rating would be also 10/10 and my favourite tracks would be 8, 9 and 10. Defender Of The Past is more ambient, but what a killer piano line it has in it. Amazing...
  15. Mh, those categories come into my mind (some refere to the same kind of music): progressive, goa, old-school, Israeli, full-on, melodic, minimal, club sound, morning trance, night full-on, psy-breaks, finnish weirdo stuff, south african full-on Guess there are hundreds of sub categories!
  16. Here is bunch of my favourites (just tracks): Power Source - Goawaay Power Source - Skywalker Riktam & Bansi - Inner Reflexion Total Eclipse - Aliens / Sound Is Solid Hallucinogen - LSD (and all the other tracks on the Twisted album) Doof - People In UFO's Pleiadians - Time Dilation Albums: Hallucinogen - Twisted v/A Distance To Goa v/A Suntrance v/A Goa Vibes 1, 2 and 3 v/A Chakra & Edi Mis - Promised Land v/A Eternal Trance
  17. I'd go for Shpongle - Divine Moments Of Thruth: Dmt-do-do-do-lsd-do-dmt and so on. Sounds amazing and the (a bit hidden if you just hear it) meaning is also funny.
  18. Seems like you guys know all my secret favourites: Hara Gobi: 303 Gold Pleiadians: Time Dilation Chi-Ad: Liquid Neon Sky Moonweed: Telepath the Power Source album But there are still two songs missing nobody seems to talk about: LAB: Trippin Trolls (on Psychoactive Scandosounds compilation) Slam: Oriental Mono (on the Space Mantra compilation) I asked in several forums about Slam, but nobody seems to know who he is. I've also never found any other tracks by him. LAB are a bit better known I think, and this is their best track for sure!
  19. I've listened to some samples on Psyshop and this stuff sounds damn good. I will definitely add this album to my next order!
  20. It is available at psyhop.com at the moment: Guy Sebbag Classic Tracks Guess I will buy it with my next order. Seems like it could be for my taste.
  21. It's all about taste anyway, so don't need to worry... Maybe you could ask him if he sells you the Koxbox album for a special price...
  22. Well, I like psy but I also like trance stuff from Yahel and Tiesto, too. So what, psy is not the only good music style on earth.
  23. I was most disappointed after buying a new CD when I got Hardcore Blastoff from Psysex. Not that it's the worst album I've ever bought, I was just very disappointed about their new style. Way to progressive for me after their masterpiece Expression Of Rage.
  24. I've ordered the Misted Muppets album some days ago and I'm really curious about it. Everyone here around is writing how good and how IM like it is. Hope it can match my high hopes!
  25. Try Atomic Armadillo by Grenn Nuns Of The Revolution, its over 160 bpm if I'm not mistaking. And Loin King and The Loin Sleeps Tonight by Infernal Machine, both are about 150 bpm I think. All three tracks are old, but still great.
