  1. Not psytrance but imho still worth a mentino: Westbam - Wizards Of The Sonic uses the melody from a Sonic game for the track (the one from a boss fight). I nearly fell of the chair when I've played that game and noticed the melody. Awesome!
  2. Got two new albums: Psyfactor - Endless Universe http://www.discogs.com/release/652456 Brain Damage - Waiting For My Angel http://www.discogs.com/release/1108049 The Psyfactor album is a total blast, exactly the style I love in ambient. The Brain Damage album seems to be good too.
  3. I'm listening to Chronos - Stonehendge and the perfect place would be either outside in the sun, chilling with a fatty in my hand or at home in front of my CDJs, again with a fatty in my hand, and recording a new mix.
  4. New Space Buddha album sounds very good to me! I own all their releases and I will for sure check this one out.
  5. Had a very nice goa album in the mail (or so I hope, I'm listening to it for the first time right now): v/a - Psychedelic Goa Trance (Omnisomus, 1996) http://www.discogs.com/release/180284
  6. The release I own has absolutely nothing to do with full-on, it's regular progressive trance (and with trance I mean actual trance, not psytrance).
  7. I own one of their releases, the AR52 - Enigma/Air Traffic vinyl. It's an awesome progressive trance song but I haven't heard anything else and I didn't also realise they also release psy stuff. On the other hand since it's John 00 Flemmings' label that's not much of a surprise. He does have an affinity for psy.

    LSD

Same here. My taste is rather limited when it comes too chill-out ambient stuff (I need melodies to actually enjoy it, not just some plain soundsamples) but the artists doing the remixes sound interesting. Plus I really love the LSD, ups LS I mean, label, even when I only own some older releases.
  9. My favourite melodic morning track still is Emoticon from Freaked Freaquence vs. Alternative Controle from the Exocita comp.
  10. Come on people, don't spam the recommendation topics just because you don't like the style. Seems to be the newest trend at psynews (also with full-on thread). Set some posts invisible.
  11. Yeah Benza makes very good and unique music in general. Schwartz Now, The Defender is very good but I myself prefere the second album Retrofuturism. The style is a little different but still rather unique. Which reminds me: how is his first album Benza compaert to the other two? I haven't heard it yet but since I like all of his work I've heard so far I'm eager to buy it.
  12. Could be a bit of a challenge. The first comp is priced 50$ at Discogs...
  13. I'm not really familiar with most of the artists on the comp but the older issues from that series look tasty indeed. And not only that, there are other interesting releases from that label, a mixmag CD with Moby and Sven Väth for example. I might order some of that stuff over Discogs if I get some spare money. Have you seen the cover of the first Psychotrance comp? Tasty mushrooms...
  14. I managed to listen to this mix while working and I can say I love it! Very nice track selection (lots of stuff I haven't heard) and the mixing is ace too. I didn't even notice the fuck up you mention but maybe that is because I had to take phonecalls today. I will for sure keep this and give it a listen once in a while, thanks for sharing!
  15. I still love the israeli stuff, will download the mix!
  16. I know you don't haven an issue with gays. Because of that I think it's even more immature you fail to see while the general abuse of this word is pretty stupid. Besides that I thinkt it's kinda funny that you can't understand someobody being offended by the abuse of the word gay while you yourself get offended by a certain style of music (full-on or nowaways darkpsy) so much that you sort of take it personaly if an artist switchs to that style.
  17. What Basilisk wrote about people who use the word gay in the context you do.
  18. Sure you do and it's up to you in the end how you use your words. But if you feel the need to justify your way of speaking with blatant bullshit like "it has always meant this and that" I will proof you wrong. You don't care, fine to me. Kinda proofes my point.
  19. Kinda funny to see you pop up with that comment if somebody dares to not find something funny or not worth ignoring. Especially considering you are known to be kinda negative and cynical in certain times (about thet scene or whatever). No offense but I had to giggle reading that...
  20. Actually you know shit about the origin of this word. The term "gay" used to mean something like bright and funny and nowadays obviously also homosexual. Here is a link to check before you say stuff like "always be a word for bad things": http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=...y&relink=on You obviously think being gay is somethign bad. That's up to you but that point of view kinda adds up to your ideas about various aspects of live and your behaviour.
