Pure trance you say? I recognise some names in the tracklist plus I know we share some of the same taste --> downloading right now!
-
Just noticed that I haven't downloaded this. But I'm doing it now, for sure a mix not to miss!

I've got the Twisted mail too and I can't wait to hear this album. Haven't seen the live gig but I absolutely love the Hallucinogen In Dub album so any more matrial is more than welcome. I just hope Twisted doesn't take another eternity to finaly release it.

I've set the very off-topic posts invisible. Please people, don't spam the general forum.

Very nice load of CDs. The Project II Trance CD is ace. Was able to pick up a parcel from the post office today. It's from a Swiss online shop, specialised on progressive psy and chill-out. Didn't even know they exist but I've seen a topic about it on a Swiss forum, anouncing a big sale since they have to close the shop. Bad for the shop but good for me... Got this for cheap: Zero Cult - Ikebana (Cosmicleaf Records) http://www.discogs.com/release/1117917 v/A - Nova Natura Part 2 (Cosmicleaf Records) http://www.discogs.com/release/836381 v/A - Nova Natura Part 3 (Cosmicleaf Records) http://www.discogs.com/release/969476 Ace Ventura - Rebirth (Iboga) http://www.discogs.com/release/1085994 Healer - Higher Grounds (Candyflip Records) http://www.discogs.com/release/285144

The Waves Of Sound album is much more in that style than For The People. If you like Voyage you just have to get WOS!! The other suggestions are great too, I still have to push Mr. Clubtrance from Eyal Barkan onto you. It's pretty similar and even when I don't like the older albums by him, this one is a must have if you like that style.

Haven't heard Opium Of The Masses but will check it out. Positive Alchemists are digipacks, Orientation are jewel cases. Btw. Positive Alchemists series is way better than the Orientation series. Orientation 3 is the best from the series but I would still get the PA comps first.

You just dug out a 2 year old thread to tell us to stop posting in it? Classic! Haven't heard the album btw, just saw it is out. What style is it, full-on?
-
The difference for those threads are imho rather simple: judging from the title you could expect a discussion about why goa is dead from the first thread. But the content itself was nothing more than a dissing of all new styles. Do you really think this thread would have lead to an interesting discussion? Imho it's typical flame-war topic without a real point. The second topic, even with the rather stupid title and all (imho of course), was actually trying to start a discussion instead of just bashing. Actually you are right, if we would mod more strict there would be more closed threads, for example the combine two words thread from LuBu. But after locking two thread from the same user I thought it would be better to give it a rest. Even when it's a spam thread it doesn't hurt anybody. I understand you are not convinced but I can't tell you anything more. If you choose not to believe me I can't help it. I also think that no matter if I would write a ten page paper about the locked thead with links to similar thread lockings you would still feel the same. That's not a bad thing because we need people doubting our actions. But as you've said yourself: overreaction sucks.
-
The thread was closed because it was pure spam: was there a discussion going on about why goa is dead? No it wasn't, just a statement that was at the edge of trolling with dissing all newer psy styles besides goa without naming a possible reason why goa is dead actually (Ale style if you know what I mean) and people posting smileys as replays. And about your question: yes the same thread would be looked if whoever else opened it. Ale got several warnings for similar threads.

I just got the latest album from Dacru Records, Orientation Vol. 3. It's way to early for a final judgetment since I'm listening to it for the first time and I'm only at track Nr. 4. Still I think this is by far the best volume of the series, it's very driving, melodic and uplifting psy. If the rest is as equaly good as what I have heard so far, I will have to add it to my top 5 albums from 2007.
-
I'm proud to anounce that I've completed anotehr label: Dacru Records from Belgium. They have only three comps out but still, completed is completed.
-
I have to agree with Anoebis here, very nice package indeed! Especially the Visions Of Shiva EP. I had a CD in the mail, the left over of my last order so to say: v/A - Orientation Vol. 3 http://www.discogs.com/release/1041820

The track that made you an electronic music lover

Ha, that's exactly the compilation I'm talking about!! I can't remember if I had the one you posted first or the second compilation of that series. I love both of them anyway. -

I don't remember the very first electronical track but I think it must be Axel F. I used to own three different tapes with classic synthesizer themes and Axel F was on there too. Also stuff like The Model, those comps used to be rather well-known when they were fresh on the market.
