  1. Timbaland feat. One Republic - Apologize I have to listen to this song again and again now, I think this will be fore sure my favourite track from 2007.
  2. Bought three CD singels today. Not psy but pop and charts stuff. The tracks got played again and again at the indoor tournaments I was working this and the last weekend and I like them. By far the best is Timaland feat. One Republic - Apologize that's what I call emotional and moving pop music. I'm listening to the singe for an hour now, singing along. Mika - Relax, Take It Easy Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music
  3. I haven't given the Cosmic Tone remix album a try yet. I was rather dissappointed with the Cosmic Tone album I allready own (it's the second one I guess) since all the tracks sounded the same. Pretty boring even if some single elements are nice. Btw. the two first comps from Dacru Records are also ok. Not all the tracks are that good but there are some killarghs on it
  4. 1+ @ exotic: in theory you are right but nobody gets forced to buy a bad album so... *points with finger at pavel* Haha!!!
  5. I don't know if you are serious with your environment point but if you are: if to you CDs that are actually used again and again for listening to the music that is on them are a problem, then what do you think about the CDRs (not only music but all kind of data) that people burn and then throw away because they are scratched, the data is not used anylonger or whatever? Or atomic waste or any other garbage we humans produce. Imho music CDs are not exactly the bigest problem or pollution from what I can tell.
  6. Looks great, will download it when I'm back home.
  7. And nother recommendation, haven't been listening to it in ages but it really rocks: Space Buddha - Full Circle. Not too much like FF but very melodic and uplifting. And psychedelic imho.
  8. Sorry, I forgot to post. I've downloaded two of your mixes, this one is the one I absolutely love. It's exactly my kind of full-on. Melodic but still pushing, and with some nice uplifting parts. the mixing is also done very well (at least judging from my amateurish point of view). Will you upload more stuff anytime soon?
  9. Well, if you quote my posts I take it you are actually replying to me!
  10. Again, I never quoted any sales figures and I also didn't say OOOD for example sold less or more than with their last album. That's not my point. I don't fail to see the fact of time saving. I fail to see the connection between time saving for prelistening and selling more CDs, at least when I judge because of the people around me. For me time is absolutley not the main issue here, it's mainly money (I think you should be glad that it's vice versa for you then ).
  11. Yes I did and as you quoted yourself I said imho. And indeed that's what I think: IMHO it hurts artists like OOOD if they sell, let's say 500 copies, less because the people can easy download their album on the net. More than maybe Madonna if some people download her album. This is my personal feeling and it might be wrong but a comment from an involved artisted like Collin would enlighten me more about the situation than your I will tattoo my balls comment. I also fail to see the connection between the topic and the fact that you spend the time you used to spend in record stores in front of the PC now. I mean so do I but I don't buy more or less CDs because of that.
  12. There's one thing I don't get. I just stated I think that smaller scenes are more affected by illegal downloading than pop music or similar genres. You also know I download myself to prelisten so why on earth do you act as if I would want to forbid MP3s? Because I stated I'm old-fashioned and want my CDs and vinyls if I like something or because I dare to be not a too big fan of online releases? I don't really get your point at the moment to be honest. I never stated nor do I think that MP3s should be forbidden. I just like it when people actually buy some of the stuff they downloaded (if they did like it obviously).
  13. Imho this does not automaticaly mean less sales for other "quality" labels if lots of "crap" labels appear on the scene if you know what I mean. Besides that I personaly would be more interested in the ratio of people downloading instead of buying OOOD albums (or from other artists) today and lets say five years ago or whatever. Maybe this would give us (or at least myself) a better view on the subject than just the blank sales figures.
  14. Sure the prices have gone up, no doubt about that. But Adam Beyer (or most likely also Infected Mushroom to add a name from the psy scene) is a rather big name, I think for him getting gigs and selling albums is not as much as a problem as it might be for less known acts. But how is the situation for acts like, well you named Collin, so let's say OOOD? I don't have a clue but maybe Collin can enlighten us. I can very well imagine (and as I've said before, this is my personal feeling) that artists in that range are sort of dependable on record sales as well. Not so much for the finances but also for the promotion of their sound and getting gigs. I'm very well aware that you can promore and realease over the internet. I still have the feeling that (at least some) organisers also check which artists sell ok or well to see who they want to book.
  15. I don't know any sales figures and I also didn't claim any if you know what I mean. I personaly just have the feeling that smaller scenes are more affected by people who download mainly instead of buying than pop for example. I can very well imagine that the sales have gone up. But from what I can tell there are also way more people listening to psy than 5 years ago so...
  16. Most things allready have been said, I still have to add my two cents. 1. Do you download music from the web? Any kind of music. How much? How often? Mainly psy, not that much atm. Maybe once in a month or something like that. 2. Do you download specifically Psytrance releases? Yes of course, if I see an interesting new release I check if I can download it. I've discovered a lot of new albums or was able to sneak into some albums I was not too interested in beforehand. This is important for me since I don't have the money to buy as much CDs and vinyls as some months or years ago. I have to add that I buy all the stuff I really like and that I delete the stuff I don't like. Not good enough to buy --> move to trash. 3. Do you think that downloading (and any other forms of piracy) really hurt the music industry? Yes I do, sales are going down and I think that downloading is one reason for that. But also the expensive CDs themselves. Somebody has made that point before and I agree with what has been said (think it was Mars who posted it). 4. Do you think that downloading (and any other forms of piracy) really hurt the Psytrance industry? Yes, imho it hurts psy and other less commercial styles way more than the commercial releases since psy has less listeners and buyers than commercial stuff to begin with. That's why I try to buy as much as possible. And because I love the music of course. 5. Would you like a world that every new album/comp would be released only in the web? No, to be honest I'm very old fashioned and I own only very few net reases. I want to have the real deal.
  17. I'm not registered on last FM so anybody care to copy & paste that list, just to see if there's something I should check out.
  18. I totaly understand you, I also love to have an actual CD instead of some WAV or MP3 files. But I like Vibrasphere's music so much I just had to have it. Btw. how sounds that Mystical Sun album? I vaguely remember I've heard about it but I can't remember what style or anything else.
  19. They have an album with a selection of their down-tempo tunes. It's only available as download (mean legal download that you have to pay for). I have it and it's imho worth it's money. Check their homepage for more info!
  20. Yeah, the U-Recken album is very good aswell. A bit different to the FF album but among my favourite full-on albums for sure. Oh yes, I like the Vibe Tribe album. It's as good as you told me! About Electro Sun: I've only heard the new album as MP3s but so far it is not as good as the first one. Pure Blue is a gem to me. But maybe Double Trouble will grow on me.
  21. Just came home after work, finding the next package in my mailbox. This time from a discogs seller, also known as Goaloge on Ebay. All the albums were sealed even if I was expecting them to be second hand, nice surprise. Here is what I've got: Chilling Matenda - Chilling Matenda http://www.discogs.com/release/250911 I'm listening to it right now, very nice chill-out so far. Electron Wave - The Uncertain Principle http://www.discogs.com/release/61366 v/A - A Magical Journey http://www.discogs.com/release/473572 12 Moons - Solid State http://www.discogs.com/release/285141 Oforia - Inner Twist http://www.discogs.com/release/686546 All the albums where on my wantlist so I feel extra happy about them now.
  22. System Nipel - Deep Into Matter and Vibe Tribe - Wise Cracks are very good too.
  23. I can also recommend Electro Sun - Pure Blue and Ion - Ionizer, very good uplifting full-on albums.
  24. So I am. And I think we're getting more by day. Riton even dared to open a thread about that album.
  25. I've just used the last money on my credit card to order a bunch of psy CDs from the first Swiss online psyshop. Will I hate me when I have to eat instant soup only at the end of the month. Yes!! Do I love the music I got. Oh yes!! So it's worth it... Anyway, here is what I've got: Freaked Frequency - FF Syndrome http://www.discogs.com/release/1157765 So far I'm only at the second track but OMG I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! v/A - Chiller Vol. 1 http://www.discogs.com/release/1108417 v/A - Orientation Vol. 1 http://www.discogs.com/release/811242 v/A - Orientation Vol. 2 http://www.discogs.com/release/854030 Orientation Vol. 3 is not on stock but will be send to me later.
