  1. Yes, but some people here imply that this different way of working makes it impossible for women to achieve the same things as men (women are less creative for example). Similar as it was used in the past to prevent women from voting, from going to uni and so on. Interesting, isn't it? Edit: And by saying you think it could be a good thing but so far it's not, meaning the male way of thinking is still better or better developped.
  2. Some people in this thread (*cough* Ormion) I also don't know all the names but there are some that are rather well-known in the scene, Sally Doolally, Gen6 or Stella Nutella for example. Yes of course it could, but imho they actually need some support and even more important some more time. As I've said in my first post, if you expect women to catch up with men only a few years later after they were just given the same opportunities as men, that's not exactly realistic imho. It's the same in politics, less women than men but women are catching up. Edit: had to correct a typo with "men" and "women".
  3. Oh and another thing: Exactly with the point you are making in your first sentence women were not allowed to study at the universities, to vote or to take certain jobs not so long ago. Interesting, isn't it?
  4. As you can see by the list that Nemo posted there are actually women who try to do so (stand up for themselves and make music). Do they get any suppoort from the people here? Obvisously not, instead people like you bitch about them because there are not more women doing the same. And not only that, you even expect them to not only producse psy but also to produce a new way of psy and since they don't, more bitching. Go figure...
  5. It's not exactly a new thing that a smaller % of women are into technical or scientific professions (or hobbies) than men. One part of the answer is pretty simple: less than 100 years ago women got a different education and were also not allowed to work in the same jobs than men (if they were allowed out of the kitchen at all if you know what I mean ). Because of that it's imho not exactly a surprise that it takes some time for the women to catch up. If you check out the statistics from today and from 20 years ago you can see (at least here in Switzerland) that the % of women gets higher, so give it some time and hopefully there will be better figures to show in some years (imho of course). If that fact (and the thing about different education and jobs in the past given by society is a fact) leads to the conclusion that women are less imaginative as men, it's not exactly a surprise that lots of women don't exactly care to break into male dominated areas. I mean if you want to learn something new it seems you have to proof that you are equal to a man instead of just doing your thing and learn. You really have to love something to do that. Not even talking about people judging you by look when you DJ and similar things (and don't tell me this dosen't happen anymore...).
  6. Ok, now I get it and I have to agree about that. If all people who complain about how bad the scene has become would actually try to organise parties by themselfes or make music or whatever we would have a more diverted and better scene.
  7. Maybe I missinterpret what you are saying but why do you wish that all the people feel equaly miserable instead of still enjoying parties.
  8. Seems like the scene in Switzerland is so nice or maybe I'm just not going to enough parties but the last few times I've been to psy parties I've enjoyed it a lot. When I was there the music was great and if it wasn't the people were so great it didn't really matter. Because of that: no real complaints! Ok, I wouldn't mind some free LSD-drink at the entrance, I've heard that was something not that unusual back in the old times.
  9. I haven't recived the CDs yet but I'll keep you updated.
  10. I had the Goasia album in the mail on Sathurday.
  11. The tracklist looks ace, will download the mix when I'm back home from work.
  12. The Alternative Controle album called Alt + Ctrl has some trancey elements in it. I like it a lot, the first two tracks are not that special but then it gets really good imho. I don't know if they use the strings you mean but there are trancey elements in there for sure.
  13. I'm a sucker for piano melodies in trance and psytrance. Because of that there are two tracks that always blow me away: Marino Stephano - Eternal Rhapsody (the piano together with the short lyrics are just too much to take) and Tri-Force - Longing/Love (Moondance Remix) (the breakdown when the new melody and the piano starts)
  14. Matter of taste again I think. For me Explornig The Tributaries has the typical housy sound of Tribal Vision but in a more boring way. Not even close to the pure bliss of Archipelago.
  15. I definitely agree about the Vibrasphere album! :-) Besides that maybe also the second Benza album, Principles Of Flight and Nystagmus. And for sure also Space Cat - Mechanical Dream.
  16. I can only answer the first question: for me the perfect album is Classical Mushroom by Infected Mushroom. For me it was always a tie between this one and the first Hallucinogen album but since my last trip (long walk with my MP3 player) when I've heard both albums while tripping my tits of CM is in the lead by far. I have to say every single effect, even every single note is just perfect. The songs sound like from another dimension, like being 3D or something. I've listened to several albums on that trip and nothing came close. Well, maybe the Hallucinogen tracks but still, Classical Mushroom is THE ALBUM for me.
  17. I own one of his older albums but to me it sounds a bit boring. All tracks are very similar for my understanding but I've heard the newer albums are better. Here is what I've ordered: Various - Back To Galaxy (CD) Vibe Tribe (2) - Wise Cracks (CD) Ferbi Boys - Twilight Zone (CD) Audiotec - Freak Show (CD) Various - Tokyo / Tel Aviv Vol. 2 (CD) Visual Contact - La La Land (CD) Various - The Natural Waves Of Sound 003 (CD) Various - Pure Imagination 3 (CD) System Nipel - Deep Into Matter (CD, Album) I've heard most stuff allready on MP3 and besides the System Nipel album all are promos and are very cheap (2 Euro or less). I don't care if the people call it kiddie trance or not to be honest, fucking snobs!! j/k I allready have and love the Ayahuasca Experience sampler and the System Nipple album rocks too (have it as MP3s). Will check out the Absolute Trancelucent.
  18. Just ordered a couple of full-on promo albums over discogs for a cheap-ass price. Mostly israeli full-on from Noga Records, Trancelucent and the likes, nothing the people here like but I can't wait to get some new music!
  19. All but these: 1 Goasia - From Other Spaces 1 Dimension 5 - Transdimensional 1 VA - Twist Dream Goasia and the Twist Dream compilation is on my to buy-list. I allready own the D5 release on vinyl so I won't buy that CD. Well, unless I get lots of money...
  20. MediaMarkt also carries a stash of ps CDs. Mostly new stuff but different kinds, not only full-on.
  21. They also have a small psy section at the local City Disc shop in my hometown. They cary some samplers from YSE but also others, some prog and also new artist albums like from IM and Astrix. I've bought several albums there, the Vibrasphere Remix album for example, but normaly I try to support my local psystore when I buy stuff.
  22. Nice find! The Bassline Baby track on that comp is a true masterpiece imho.
