So far there's only one label I own all the releases and from the collectors point of view it's not even that valuable since all of them are still available. Still, I love their music and I'm glad to own everything they have put out so far: Avigmatic Records. I bet a lot of people here have all Suntrip releaes? Won't haven for me since I don't want to buy the Dimension 5 CD since I allready own the vinyl version.

Today I could pick up my Saikosounds order from the post office. It's really magic to have some new CDs in the mail, it's been ages since my last order. I was only getting stuff from the second hand shop or from trades. So here's what I've got: Androcell - Emotivision http://www.discogs.com/release/342962 There is a little booklet with some artwork in it, very nice... v/A - Twelve (Tip World) http://www.discogs.com/release/79687 Puff Dragon - Sazanami http://www.discogs.com/release/556604 This CD has for sure the most beautiful cover art ever. Not only because of the art itself but also because of the quality of the digipack and everything. and now something not down-tempo or ambient: Planum - Spying Imagination http://www.discogs.com/release/988310

Finaly had the money to order the Jikkenteki album so today I've found this in my mailbox: Jikkenteki - The Long Walk Home Listening to the first track right now. Plus I will be able to (at least I hope it's that!) pick up a parcel at the post office tomorrow with my Saikosounds order.

So what did your God do before he produced psy?
Tatsu replied to devious's topic in General Psytrance
I saw him twice around the same time (two months between the gigs). The first one at the Twisted party was a little sucky, mainly because there were too much people and the soundsystem sucked but the second one back in Switzerland was just absolutely mind-blowing! -
What music are you listening to right now?
Tatsu replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Shpongle - A New Way To Say Hooray (Promotheus Remix) -
Moved to Genereal. I think I'll give a listen to all the tracks you people mention, I love cheese!! (I'm Swiss so it's my duty)

I don't know if pushing anybody into leaving one style for another is a good thing. No matter if we talk about non-psy people converting to psy or psy-people converting for minimal or whatever. If you want to show them what you like and to convert them to also like it (like both or several styles at once) is another thing and with that approach it might also be easier to get it to them (at least that would be the case with me ). It's quite hard to name releases for that. Maybe you should ask them what they exactly like about that style (the pace, the bass, the melodies, the effects...) and then look for similarities, that would also make it easier to recommend tracks or albums you could show them.

Same here!

I don't know but counting it as a psy release the last D-Nox & Beckers album sounds fresh and unique. Sure it was inspired by the minimal stuff but still.

Sorry but I have to disagree here. If you don't like how prog or full-on sounds today, that's of course your thing and I understand that you can't find "quality" releases then. But saying that everything sounds the same is just wrong, unless you add that it sounds the same FOR YOU. Which is a huge difference imho. For me all the psy-minimal released around 2000/2001 did sound the same, boring and copy/past music. Reading reviews back then made me think they are not, still I don't get them until today. Anyway, there are a lot of releases in the same style, not a surprise considering the total amount of releases, still I have to disagree with your view. Benza does not sound like Nystagmus does not sound like Protoculture does not sound like Space Buddha does not sound like Infected Mushroom and so on. Sure it's in the same style more or less but to me I do hear a big difference between those. Same with prog: Flowjob does not sound like Lish and Lish does not sound like Vibrasphere to me and so on.

Thanks a lot people!

Got a new compilation yesterday, also living over my budget but I just had to get this one when I saw it at the store: v/A - Positive Alchemists Vol. 3 http://www.discogs.com/release/1054776 Awesome disc, exactly what I like in psy/full-on.

Tracklist looks interesting, will download when I'm at home.

I know this CD is loved by a lot of people but I never gotten into it, and believe me I gave it more than one chance. To me it just sounds dull and boring so trading was the way to go. Now it is with somebody who likes it and I got a better disc instead --> everybody happy! I doubt I will ever regret that.

I bought a lot of releases because of the old reviews here and the comments in the forum in general. S-Range 2001 is one of them, was described as morning music with lots of melodies. Unfortunately it was progressive morning music and not that kind of progressive that I like... Gave the album a second chance years later but still didn't later so I traded it in for another disk. Can't remember which one btw...

It's Sesto Sento - People, I love that song!

Just downloaded (and payed for!) the Vibrasphere - Selected Downbeats Vol. 1 album.
