I don't have a clue! And this site is not for mp3-trading, I'm sorry!

Have you checked the reviews section? They are seperated by year and all the old reviews are included.

Got this one as a present for my gf. Will listen to it when my co-worker is gone! v/A - Summer Parade mixed by DJ Tatana http://www.discogs.com/release/721283

Makes a lot of sense imho! I don't agree with some of your views about the scene when I remember some of your older comments. And we also don't have the same taste (well, some of it matches since I did like some tunes of your dj mix) most of the time, I still enjoy to discuss the scene or music with you and get new inputs. Same goes for Elysium, Charlie and others, I like to talk about how things change and what people's views are about it, especially when they are old-timers. Does not mean that we have to agree in the end. We can still respect eachother and disagree.

Don't forget the Cosmosis - Synergy album if you don't allready have it. I hope it's still available...

I don't know it, please enlighten me! Goa Gill? Skazi? Raja Ram? Simon Posfort? Ollie Wisdom? OD?
-
This is exactly the attitude I hate in this scene: I know everything, people who don't agree know nothing. I'm holier-than-thou, no explanation needed. Ok then, discussing with you will bring me no new insights in this matter. So be it!
-
Unite as in follow people like you who want to decide what others should hear or not because they are the enlightened ones? No thank you... I do love goa but I also like other styles, nothing will change that.
-
Ok, I didn't and you don't seem interested in telling me exactly what you meant about that story. Well, my (or your?!) bad then I guess. I agree about that stuff with the respect. That's exactly why I never bitch about other tastes in music anymore. It just makes me wonder where your respect is if you bitch about full-on that much, it seems beyond you that somebody actually likes that music because of his will and not because of bad circumstance. But it's upt to you what you think about this issue. No doubt about that.
-
Yeah maybe I didn't get it. Where did I say anything about CDs or mp3s? Basicly you are saying if somebody who is into goa sells coke at parties or steals cars he is still better than somebody who listens to full-on and does the same thing because he has the right musical background and listens to the right kind of music? Maybe I missunderstood you but how I understand your story right now I think you have a strange way of seeing musical taste and what is connected with that. But feel free to correct my view...
-
I don't want to burst your bubble but this doesn't mean anything (to me at last). I know enough people who are old-timers and in the scene since the beginning. They love the old goa sound but they are also the ones selling coke and other drugs at the parties to the newcomers, not working regularly, maybe not steeling but still make their living mostly with illegal things. So what, there are bad people everywhere, no matter what taste they have. I agree that there are more and more people like that, in the scene and also elswhere. One reason for that is not the music but because the scene gets bigger and bigger and attracts more people. Also young people who do some shit, like missusing drugs or doing other shit. But this is not only a problem of the scene but a general problem of society. And another thing, just because you get certain (bad) feelings with full-on does not mean that all people react in the same way. This is exactly the way of generalising I don't like.

Yeah, put up some pics afterwards. I'd love to see them!

Sounds very nice! Melodic, trance-like psy or housy stuff like Flowjob also suits me best when it's warm and sunny outside. Have fun with your girl!
-
I don't think it's selling out if you open your mind a bit and give another style a try. As long as you enjoy it, everything is fine. Some of the tracks on that Cds are indeed nice!
-
This is right I guess. But after a certain amount of time it still gets on my nerves a bit. Mainly because not all people here mean it in a fun way like you do. I agree about that. Again: I didn't tell anybody to shut up in this thread. And there is another but for me: I understand when people are a bit fed up with certain comments (like nemo) and say why not acting out instead of only complaining again and again? I mean you did start your own thing with sending out those emails to the organisers and stuff. I don't know how many reactions you had after them. Even when there maybe was not much feedback I'm sure actions like that are nearer to change the ways of the scene or certain organisers than anonymous posts in an internet forum. Does not mean people don't have the right to complain of course...
-
Ok, then I'm glad! I never got told that I should shut up because I like full-on. But I've seen more than enough degrading comments about people who listen to full-on, about the style in general or comments directly passed at me in the style of "OMG you listen to full-on, how dare you?!". I mean it's not the end of the world if I read something like that, I don't comment most of that stuff anyway because I decided it's not worth it. I think a lot of people you speak about (praising certain artists and not letting bad comments about them stay uncommented) are the same that make the comments I'm speaking about. To me it seems that a lot of people behave this extreme because they absolutely dislike the behaviur of the IM and Skazi fanboys at Isratrance. This is something I fully understand, but if you act in the same way just in another direction, then you are not really better then the people you dislike (generally spoken, I don't mean Elysium when I write "you").

(sorry for regering but I couldn't help it)

You know what I don't like? You pick out one sentence of my whole post and comment it whitout even reading or at least not caring about the rest I wrote. I told nobody to shut up. I just speak up (as said in the rest of the post you didn't quote) to show that there are also good parts, at least for me, in something that is only spoken negative about here by some people. Besides that I agree with nemo, if you only complain without acting out, then nothing will change. Even when it's only buying the few new releases you like or tell other people about it so they buy it. I totally agree about your opinion when it comes to the taste debate. There are way to many people (some (not all) of them also moan endlessly about how bad the scene has become) that brag about how their style is the only one and who bitch about all the other styles. Just admit that you listen to full-on in this forum and then prepare to get flamed immediately. So much for open-mindedness...I also think it's rather funny when the same people complain about the shiva-nazis at the parties and then use the same formula ast he shiva-nazis (music taste and looks) to judge other people. This is imho what brnigs the scene down, not the minimal wave or the full-on wave or the dark psy-wave.
-
Yeah right, this is why big artists like IM, Astrix, Yahel, Eskimo and Skazi get flamed all the time when just their names are mentioned...
-
So basicly you tell us moaners about the moaners to shut up because you can complain but we can't?! I'm sorry for pulling your leg but I do get your point. I also understand your frustration. Never the less I'm also a bit frustrated when I see topics and topics about how bad the scene is and now this one with even only two words by the thread starter. I just wonder if the low quality of the music (to use your words, I personally like also a lot of the new music), the stupid drugged up people and so on are the only reasons for some peoples disappointment with the scene. To me it seems that some glorify the past and forget about the bad sides of the scene that also existed back then. Especially when we're talking about the drugs. Even when I started to go to parties about 5 or 6 years ago there were drugs everywhere, not only acid or shrooms but also speed and coke and xtc. I got told that this was also the case before my time. The only difference was, that the scene was much smaller and people know each other much better. But also then there were "fake" hippies (this therm always makes me wonder you people can judge others to be fakes this and that just because of looks or because you've met eachother once at a party) around and other strange or stupid people. I'm not saying that everything in the scene is great, I'm far from that. But I also speak up when people only mentioning the bad sides, I'm not letting myself being pulled down by others just because they don't like where this scene is going now. I agree that the scene is changing a lot, but just because of that it is not going to die. It might die for you if you don't like the direction but if you are not up to organise your own parties or produce your own music then nothing can change that for you. Unfortunately the scene NEVER will be like it was 10 years ago, nothing ever will. I feel sorry for you if you don't like the new music. It's your good right to speak up against it. But if you expect others to change their taste just because you know the only real music, then this will not happen.

I just wonder why you keep coming back again and again if this forums sucks so much. Never the less, you know the deal, you could make a last anouncement in the off-topic and that's it. All off-topic posts will be closed.
-
Send a PM to mars and ask him.
-
I closed the thead you posted a link to. I just think it's a little strange that you opened up the topic by yourself after being aware that mars doesn't want you to post in off-topic anymore. It should have been clear that sooner or later you won't be able to reply yourself. That does not mean that this is an invitation for other userse to bash you, but imho you should be aware that you will also get some negative comments by opening up a topic like that. I will also close this thread since this has nothing to do with the general forum. There are reason why you are not allowed to post in the off-topic anymore, all off-topic posts in the general forum will obviously also be closed.

Some more posts deleted due to beeing absolutely off-topic.

I totaly agree to that! To me it seems that a lot of people who are fed up with the scene also want to destroy it for all the others with talking only negative stuff. There are still some small amounts of goa-like tracks, stuff from the suntrip label or smaller releases you can get over the net. Imho the scene never had a bigger amount of different styles to offer. Sure, there is nearly nothing like the real old-school goa but since this music style is more than 10 years old it's only natural that the music has changed. Hip-Hop does not sounds like it did 10 years ago, trance doesn't, techno doesn't, even pop doesn't!
