  1. So it's a full album you guys are talking about? I'm going to check out the samples for sure, acid lines sound promising...
  2. My gf got a copy from the Reefer Decree album from a friend and even when it is progressive we immediately fell in love with it. We've both ordered an original copy and now I'm looking for more! I really like this kind of melodic and also psychedelic progressive. It doens't sound like the "normal" psy-progressive I know, it doesn't use the oh so well-known sounds but sounds rather fresh and contains uplifting melodies. So what similar albums can you recommend? I especially like track Nr. 9.
  3. DJ Wag - Man On The Moon (DJ Scott Project Remix) Aaaawesome hard-trance track...

    V/A - USTA

This is my first CD from the USTA label, don't know about the other releases but this one really is a let down... I bought it from a used disk shop (thankfully at a very cheap price) and I really don't know what to say. Since I didn't have the chance to prelisten the tracks I had to decide if I wanna buy this disc only considering the artist names. First looks it seemed ok to me, I like full-on so names like Gataka, Sesto Sento, Alien Project, Beak Hackers and also Lish (Free Fall is my favourite album from the progressive side) sounded ok to me. But my hopes were destroyed very fast when I put the CD inside my CD-player... Tracks Nr. 1 to 6 all sound very similar and boring. An uninspired halfway full-on bassline with some even more uninspired percussions and some other noises. The only thing that stands out is the short western guitar part in the first Sesto Sento track (Datura), the rest is all boring as hell. Even the Lish track is a disappointment. Ultima - Cabel Connected is the first track that is bearable, it has some nice layered melodies instead of the boring percussion noises. Also the following tracks are a bit better than the first six tracks. Nothing really outstanding but at least some melodies and effects were added that didn't sound like random noises. Also the bassline changes and doesn't sound the same in all the tracks... The second Sesto Sento track is also more on the monotone and boring side, it's not as bad as the first six tracks but still rather uninteresting. My favourite tracks: Well, not that hard to decide since half of the track are so crappy they are not even worth a mention... Ultima - Cabel Connect is rather nice, as I've said it contains a nice fluffy melody. Besides that I really like the Beat Hackers - Pice Of Art track. It's very energetic with nice melodies in it and an interesting bass-line. Also the second Beat Hackers track is ok, some nice effects (even when they are nothing new or anything) in it. What else to say? The CD sure deserves the bad rating on discogs, most tracks sound very uninspired. I can't say much about the mixing, it's stated on the back of the CD that this is a live mix by Zoo-B. Well, it's not that hard to mix if all tracks nearly have the same bassline. This comp. will for sure NOT make me check out more releases from the USTA label or mixes from Zoo-B. So I have to rate this CD 3/10, only the Beat Hackers and the Ultima tracks prevent it from getting a straight 1/10...
  5. Yeah, lovely story indeed! Thanks god we will never meet radi, you are the last person I'd let in my appartment and near my CDs and vinyls... I just wonder do you have any original CD?
  6. Well mike, you're about 4 years too late...
  7. No contest today: Best track is Tatana - Moje Oci Remix Brilliant trance-remix of Kraftwerk's The Model.
  8. Binary Finary - 1999 (Kay Cee RMX) Beautiful old trance tune...

    I am angry

Interesting topic... I've allready read some comments by Colin about his problems of getting gigs. I really don't know what to do about it or what the reasons are for this. In your case the only thing I can imagine (besides the general point that maybe you lack friends in the right positions) is that organiser maybe still think you would play either your old goa tracks or your stuff from the Holm & Andersen project and either of them fit their concept. Doesn't give them the right to treat you like shit of course... From what I understand you don't have these problems with Holm & Andersen. As sad it might sound but then you really better concentrate on this project and enjoy what you get there instead of being frustrated with the psyscene. If there's a demand (or if you feel inspired) of your Elysium music you can restart working on new stuff. But imho it's better to enjoy what you have (and to me it seems that you are so lucky to have another more successfull project in your pockets) than to get fed up more and more about what you can't have. I remember several old comments about you dislike certain elements of the psyscene, and since you are an old-timer who is around since the beginning, maybe it is really time to move on. I wish you a lot of luck for it!
  10. I'm all into melodies, especially uplifting stuff. I like the higher tones especially when they are a bit twisted. Be it acid ridden stuff or just melodies like the hook in For The People. I can't name any favourite artists since there are so many I really like, old Infected Mushroom, Yahel, Spacecat, Hallucinogen, Cosmosis....
  11. Found some nice discs at the used record's store: v/A - Goliath 4 mixed by DJ Tatana http://www.discogs.com/release/174681 (absolutely fantastic hard-trance cd) v/A - Mix by DJ Zoo-B http://www.discogs.com/release/316710 (the rating on discogs is extremely poor, haven't listen to the CD but at least it was very cheap so...) Grey Area - Absolute http://www.discogs.com/release/371592 (also haven't listen to this, my first release from that label btw)
  12. Woow, now that's what I call a big step! May the force be with you... If you see that you need to work again, you can still look around for another job. It seems the one u used to have, is not much of a loss anyway.
  13. You perfectly wrote what is in my mind this days! Can't wait until I have this gem in my hands...
  14. Nightcrawlers - Just Like Before from the album Let's Push It. THE perferct eurohouse CD.
  15. I once sold a condom to the pope. Beat that!
  16. And I totally fell for it...
  17. OMG?! I can imagine where that comes from but never the less there must be a lot of stuff that reminds him of that time then... Ok, not really a surprise since it has to be impossible to forget about something like that but still.
  18. I know that song too, it was by MO-DO and really stupid. But must have been fun to act out like that!
  19. Did you also perform the I Wanna Be A Kennedy track, the other single from that album?
  20. You're my hero of the day!
  21. I still enjoy U96, as you say it's a very powerfull and energetic CD. And Raveland is an absolute masterpiece imho... Rave still rocks!
  22. I can't really remember. The first electronical CD was either U96 - Das Boot or Marusha - Raveland. Goa might have been Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom or one of the Lovefield compilations.
