  1. Good to hear that the label is still alive. The last really promising releases (for my taste of course) were from it and I can't wait to get some more. Hopefully you'll soon sort your problems out and bring us new stuff!
  2. My gf bought me two mixed CDs at the party we went on Sathurday: v/A - Sonic 5 Industrial Edition http://www.discogs.com/release/452067 and v/A Sonic Vol. 6 Official Trance Compilation http://www.discogs.com/release/570395 I'm listening to Sonic 5 right now and I absolutely love it. Both CDs were rather cheap (one third of the original price) because the organisers of the party wanted to get rid of them. Lucky me!

I like the Electro Sun album a lot, very uplifting and melodic. But I bet most people here find it too cheesy...
  4. Guess I pitched the sample or added some more layers...

*smiles nicely at FP and secretly takes out the shotgun* j/k
  6. Really? A friend of mine was there too and he told me that he and his friends where going nuts during the Hypersonic set...

Ok I give up, you're right, I'm wrong. Your taste is good, mine is bad.

Planum is a bit special, I agree to that. The tracks are very varied and it took me some time to get into it. Right now I love it but it is for sure not what you normaly expect with psy. Have you checked out Talpa, he also has a nice album out.

To FP: I don't know if intelligent is the right word when it comes to Space Cat. Or music in general, I mean people who label their own taste with intelligent psy or whatever are a bit suspicious to me right away... Anyway, to me this Space Cat album really stands out regarding most other full-on releases. Avi doesn't use the same bassline again and again, there are some 303 effects in it and I love the melodies. I also love the first and the second album, the third one is not really my cup of tea, then I aboslutely love Mechanical Dream. But it's taste in the end, I don't expect others to appreciate the same stuff, so if you don't like it it's your loss... Never the less it wouldn't hurt if the threadstarter checks it out, if he doesn't like it, just dump it.
  10. Does anybody have a clue how rare it really is? I mean I have it and I always thought it's cool because I don't know about many MiniDisc releases for the psy/goa/ambient genre. Would be even cooler, speaking from the collectors point of view, when it's rather rare.
  11. I'm listening to an electro DJ-set called Electroilse. I guess it's from a party with that name but never the less I like it a lot.

It all depends on your own taste and view. Imho there is a lot (or at least some, as I've said it depends on you) full-on or melodic psy around to dance to. Have you checked out Planum's or Nystagmus's albums out for example (both from Sundance Reocrds), also Benza - Retrofuturism. I personally also like Space Cat - Mechanical dream, but maybe it's too israely for you. Also Burn In Noise - Broken MP3 is nice. If you dig deep enough you'll find some nice stuff, if you are a bit open to it of course.
  13. Ok, I see. It's about producing and not mixing. But I agree, mixing stuff like d'n'b can be bitchy. Or take a look at hip-hop DJs, they do have amazing skills most other DJs can only dream of.
  14. Stupid question: Who is Rough and Rush, never heard of them before?
  15. Any infos about that maybe? Their last release is from end of 2005, not that long ago imho. The homepage is also still working, it looks like they are still in progress with adding stuff (don't know since when it looks like that of course).
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if Simon takes the cake again... He has a lot of skills but to be hones I myself can't judge if he's better than Avi Algranati, Bilbo Bagginz or Erez Aizen or whoever else. I mean I don't have a clue about producing music and to me each of the mentioned names has his special style and can do awesome stuff. Because of that I'm rather not going to vote...
  17. This Pascal FEOS CD looks interesting, did you allready give it a listen?
  18. I've once heard that regular trance like Tiesto and the likes is not very common in israel and that's why psytrance is so big and commercial. Like it takes the place of trance in the party scene. Don't know if it's true since I don't know anything about the scene there.
  19. I don't care, guess I'll buy both... Really great news, can't wait until summer is over and the albums are out...
  20. The Delta - As Child I Could Walk On The Ceiling
  21. Finally here are the pictures, don't look too good since I took them with my mobile. Maybe they still help you:

  23. Defnitely!! Your list rocks, also some of the non-psy releases are very hot. Have fun with that stuff!
