That sounds like something I would get off of discogs. Nice one! I personally really like that Dub TribunL cd... crazy fucked and clicked up blues tunes.

Changing styles has to be done well if it is done quickly otherwise I find it very annoying. Its better to progress slowly then to jump from one to the other imho. But if done well its very nice. So i normally wouldnt change style quickly if i wasnt very sure about the transition.

start with a computer... 1) sequencer: cubase, ableton, fruity loops, sonar.. etc 2) plugins: blue, albino, reaktor, etc etc.. read the audio forum on isratrance.com there is loads of info about production.

i am sure towel didnt buy the album.. he tries before he buys.. just as i do.. works great the number of shit albums i bought by listening to 45 sec samples has lowered drastically.. no idea about the entheogenic album though.. i ll try it one of these days.

I am not annoyed by the fact that it is available online. More by the fact they are making money with it. All the sites have a similar structure with the same info. So i guess its a waste of time indeed to go after them. the release scored a 4/10 on your google check. Not very good... Will have to work on that. thnx for the info!

I noticed today that the release I did with Kokopelli can be downloaded for a fee at a russian site. Of course we didnt see a single penny of that release from them, nor did they even contact us. Does anybody have more info about the subject or had similar experiences? I am wondering if it is possible to do anything about it. All info is appreciated...

my first set was in a local party in the chill out. I was nervous as hell. For no reason of course because there might have been 20 people i dont tend to get nervous anymore now. Unless its a bigger gig. Looking forward to a BIG gig. I am sure i ll be nervous then

i tend to have that from time to time. as a dj i check many if not all releases and in the beginning i was so dissapointed in the amount of crap that came out.. now i just dig through it to get the gems.. As starting producer i actually find it interesting to see why tracks work as they do. Of course it takes out a little of the magic if you hear sounds that came straight from a sample cd. But still its cool to figure out how things are done.

if you want to begin djing and you dont know if you like it or will continue doing it i dont recommend to buy the coolest of the bestest of it all. Just start with pioneer cdj 100's or 200's if you can afford and a cheap 2 channel 3eqway mixer. It ll teach you the basics from where you can venture into the rest of the world of dj equipment. if you dont know the basics you are going to get lost in all the shit. Besides the gear, make sure you have a decent cd collection or charge beatport. If you can make a decent 2 hour set that is coherent and beatmixed and eq'ed well then progress into fxs etc if you want. good luck!

How do labels actually know how much they sell? is a site like beatport obliged to show their books? Otherwise they could say to everybody they had half the sales.. Can anybody shed some light on this?
