  1. Thanks for your understanding and patience guys. If you want to read the track notes on the sleeve the text can be found here: Cosmosis Track Notes Regards, Bill
  2. Hello everyone, actually although the music for the album is finished, in hindsight it was a bit optimistic of me to assume a spring release as I didn't factor in release queues. After communications with my distributor it appears that June 6th will be the best official release date. My apologies if the delay is a disappointment for you. Best wishes, Billy Cosmosis
  3. PRESS RELEASE Now after much work the eagerly awaited new album from Cosmosis Psychedelica Melodica. After releasing the popular and successful Trancendance album, Cosmosis has spent much of the last two years touring and playing worldwide at parties in places such as Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Israel, Russia, The United States, Japan and all over Europe. Cosmosis now returns with a stunning collection of powerful quality tracks in this, the sixth Cosmosis artist album to date. Overall, the music on Psychedelica Melodica emphasises melody more than the previous record Trancendance and yet manages to combine that with a deep psychedelic sensibility - hence the title. Psychedelica Melodica also majors in rubbery basslines and throbbing dance grooves often at times with a liberal dash of funk. All this is presented with the state of the art production level as well as character; that rare element that distinguishes artists from the artisans and which in this case makes the music uniquely identifiable as Cosmosis in a genre in which tracks often sound formulaic. Bill says: "After finishing my last album, I took some time out to listen to some of my old favourites tunes and analyse what I liked about them. I listened to both mine and other producers tracks. I realized that many times what I'd enjoyed were the often understated melodic figures. All too often what was missing in much modern trance for me was any kind of melodic structure. While I still do love textures and weird shaped noises, that alone in the complete absence of any kind of melody often sounds barren and soulless. For me the challenge was to create an album of intensely psychedelic dance music, but also to carefully blend in some more melodic and emotional aspects in a subtle enough way so as to not turn it into a complete cheesefest. It's quite a tricky call to do it in convincing way... I guess in some ways I've gone back to my roots, but don´t expect the Cosmosis sound circa 1996, this is quite different, the kick, grooves and the psychedelic aspect are far more in your face... " "...also I created and produced the music for the album with a commitment to quality and excellence, which I believe is even more important in this world of disposable generic tracks valuing quantity over quality. I didn't let anything pass that I was not 101% satisfied with. This obviously took more a lot more time, but I wanted to make an album that I could be totally satisfied and at peace with... " ____________________________ And there doesn't appear to be any dodgy tracks padding the album either. All the tracks have distinct personalities. Each track been carefully and precisely crafted as only an experienced psy-trance producer with over twelve years of record releases and live and DJ performance under his belt can. The experience shows. In a scene where the music tends towards the generic, it is indeed rare and refreshing to hear an artist with an original voice. Destined to become another must-have Psy-Trance classic. _________________________ Track List: 1. No Such Thing (Throb Factor Five mix) 2. Creature From Outer Space 3. Metaphysical Worlds 4. 4. Hi Guys, I just updated the production tips and tricks section on my website. If you are into music production check it out: http://www.cosmosis.co.uk/cms/index.php?op...3&Itemid=40 Enjoy, Billy Cosmosis
  5. Hi Guys, to let you know I have updated the tips and tricks section on my website. Especially for all you guys that are into production, check the "Ask Dr Bill" section for Trance production tips. Cheers, Billy Cosmosis Cosmosis' website
  6. Don´t be so ridiculous. How can a whole track be a climax? E=mc2 remember? no?... oh never mind... I actually started to read and take on board some of the comments here as I thought it may be useful feedback. But now I realize that attitude was totally unrealistic as this forum appears to be composed mainly of pathological whingers. Just look at this case: Oopie hasn´t even heard one second of the track and yet he has already started to moan about it ! That to me looks like a seriously (pathologically) negative attitude that nothing will make a difference to. So, I am back off to make music for the people that I have always made music for: The people on the dancefloor at trance parties. And Oopie, thanks for indirectly pointing out to me that I should be spending my time making music and not posting on pointless internet forums. Cheers, Bill
  7. In fact I recently finished a track for the new album that has a fully in-yer-face 303 line, but only for 32 bars of the tune during the final section. But I may well have to dust off the ol' 303 and fire it up again, if only to shut some of you guys up. : ) Don't expect any Retro-Goa from the new album though, just Post-Psy-Neo-Full-On-Retro-Goa Cheers, Bill
  8. Ahhh... so I DID invent it then Doh! Actually in that case the inventor would in fact be L'Elf from Turbo Trance who writes the advertising and promotional copy for the label. Bill
  9. Snowball, sorry mate, at the moment I am too busy perfecting my new "Post-Neo-Full-On-Minimal-Melodic sound to make any Neo-Retro-Goa. Cheers, Bill p.s the new stuff is a lot more melodic.
  10. I don't really use flangers much. Never used the JX16 on a track. But yes, you should try to find your own sound. Bill
  11. Lemmiwinks, mate, you just do not know that. How do I know that you do not know? Because I had to just google "Neo-full On" to even find out what "Neo-Full On" meant. I do understand that your stating hearsay as fact does tend make your postings seem more authoritative - but best to just be honest and stick to facts huh? Because otherwise you just look foolish when you get found out. So, about the so called "Neo-Full On"sound ; it seems that there have been a couple of compilation albums in a series with "Neo Full on" in the title on Yellow Sunshine whose parent label = Millennium Records (a well known sharky compilation label with no interest in the music btw.. ) And it seems that several gullible people now think that there is a new type of music called "Neo-Full On" And maybe some even think there are artists beavering away in their studios trying to perfect and then "promote" the "Neo-Full On sound. Look, because some record company dreams up a catchy category as a marketing ploy to sell more units of their compilation series does not mean that there IS actually a style called Neo-Full On. Bill p.s this thread is lot of fun... I really can't wait for the next installment of the "Cosmosis sounding track"
  12. Really? I understand the point that you are trying to make, but you speak as if you know the facts. You don't. Cheers, Bill
  13. Hey! yes I do...
  14. Aqualung, track four on Akashic is Intergalactic Fluoro Funkster. Unless you have a different version than the Holophonic album I compiled and released ... Cheers, Billy Cosmosis
  15. The cartoon series "Duckman" Check it out if you can... The character is Cornfed, who gets all the best lines. Cornfed is voiced by Greg Berger who has an extraordinary sounding voice and a totally brilliant deadpan delivery. BTW on the track "Spores In Space" (Cosmosis Synergy album) the original poster was correct. It says, "The DRAMA is internal" Cheers, Billy Cosmosis
  16. Looks like I am late to the party... Yes, good idea, let's ask Cosmosis shall we? Generally I don't like to rain on anybody's parade BUT if you are a promoter or artist I would strongly advise against using Mike Liquid for your bookings. Among other things the second time I worked with him he tried to pass himself off as my manager and insert himself between the promoter and my fee. I know because caught him doing it. He has released tracks by other artists without their permission under his own name "Mike Liquid" and claimed to have written them himself or had input into them, neither of which are true. The artists were not paid a penny. If you want some real horror stories, just ask John Phantasm (Mindfield) about Mike Liquid. He has got some really good ones... To Mike. Sorry mate but you are crook and a charlatan and do not deserve to have anybody's trust in business. Cheers, Bilbo Bagginz Producer: Cosmosis + Mumbo Jumbo
