  1. It's fucking awesome... no question about that!
  2. I can't find a review of his debut album anywhere. What did people think? Worth a listen?
  3. There are two entirely different remixes of Britney Spears - Toxic... hahah. Sort of amusing for a laugh... one's by pr0teus (kudos) and the other? Is this right? By Toxic themselves...
  4. Hell and onions, I really don't much care. Here's what badness came up for a search of "skazi remix" on the friendly local p2p: Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit Nirvana - Even if it is you Astrix - Poison Infected Mushroom - I Wish Offspring - Self Esteem Prodigy - Out of Space Metallica - Seek and Destroy Prodigy - Firestarter Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Yp Benny Benassi - Satisfaction 50 Cent - Go Shorty (or is this In da club?) Sub6 vs Intelabeam - Methanimal Yecth. Missed a few stinkers evidently.

    @omJack has a blog? That's news to me... http://www.fusionanomaly.net/anomalog/
  6. The ACDC remix is particularly awful... one of the worst on the list actually. I sent it on to a friend and here was his response: I certainly missed a few remixes... how the fuck did I forget Acid for Nothing? I hate that track... must be repression at work. Absolum's cover of Owner of the Lonely Hearts also comes to mind (but luckily I've only heard of it)... hehe, anyway - this is an amusing contreversy to wake up to. Carry on!
  7. Personally I had to vote for Tainted Love cuz Dino had the fucken chutzpah to play that track THREE FUCKING TIMES at a festival here. Yeah, he did have two sets but still - what possesses a man to play a shite remix like that TWICE in one set, especially when the Painted Dove version isn't half bad? Dino Psaras is definatly the hieght of suckage these days. I give Gataka a reprieve cuz I don't know anyone lame enough to play it out and inflict teh horror on people. Back to the Bourbon.
  8. Ok, did I get all the really atrocious ones? I really think Gataka deserves the win on this one. I also think Skazi should get a "lifetime achievement" award for his incredibly prodigious output of shite remixes. Fuck, sometimes psytrance totally blows. Have at it, cool cats.
  9. It has eight tracks and came on a 2LP... it's an album, regardless of what they called it. The Taiyo album had the same deal going on.

    Thanx RAH, that's great. You've got a good one too (people, click the link in his sig!) http://www.psyblog.org/ is Shift and Slug's, with other contributers from down south... great stuff in there. (currently working on getting my own out the door, soon, soon..)
  11. 1 BPM is approx. 0.7 on the pitch slider at around 145 BPM - that's an important point. It is slightly less or slightly more as you move away from that tempo. Hence why a deck with .02 pitch resolution is particularly handy for proggy stuff
  12. Power Source - Skywalker "This is the music of the Earth, the music of the stars... the music of your self".. doesn't get any better than that as far as a 'definition' track goes!
  13. I advise you not to use master tempo - it drastically reduces quality of newer well-produced material with a 'full' sound palette... you may as well be playing mp3s if you do that.
  14. I can't make my mind up on this one... I purchased it because it was different, and does indeed possess a psychedelic character... I think I might not be so down with it because of the production value and lack of layers however... but like I say, I don't quite know. Still figuring it out.

  16. My review: http://www.ektoplazm.com/reviews/mr-peculiar-mind-dala/
  17. I'm shocked to be amongst the minority about such a song for once, but there it is. I stand by my opinion... great melodies, great sound, and too bad y'all can't dig it. It's funny that you mention this... I had a long morning set out at the beach here in Toronto last weekend, and I mixed from Overload to Filteria's Navigate they go together beautifully!
  18. Everyone's down on it here on the forums... why the fuck is that? This is a wicked anthem, and the crowds totally love it up. Cedric's back on track for sure.
  19. Now this is REALLY good and different... should get a real review together soon, but I thoroughly enjoy this compilation. The jazzy stuff hits me just right, Sensient has one of his darkest and most pumping tracks here, and Tetrameth has a wicked melancholy sound to end it off. Excellent release!
  20. Ahhh! The nightmare of every reviewer - feedback from the artist!! Just keep doing what you're doing it missed the mark with me but so what? Lots of people dig on this. It's a good thing I know you're joking about the full-on haha.
  21. Harsh. More of an off-topic thing I believe. I guess there just wasn't enough interest in the site. It fizzled after some hacks.
