  1. V/A - Goodfellas [Materia 2005] CD Kali - Dream Delusion - The Sacred Tree Mekkanikka - Abre Los Ojos Project33 vs DJ Fred Inner Action - Movements Painkiller vs DJ Anahata - Goodfellas CPU - Dark Matter Painkiller - Every Single Sound Sum Sindhu - Digital Therapy
  2. Couldn't disagree more. Electric Universe and Jupiter 8000 both have the Goa sound to them. EU is a bit better of course, love the album. I hear some Goa in the Misted Muppet as well!
  3. Why? Seems like they've got the money already TOTALLY FUCKING JOKING
  4. Closer is such a different kind of thing... a brilliant remix, for once. But you gotta look at the source material here. MC Hammer? Fuck off is right. Not to mention that I think Gataka sorta sucks... poppy israeli full-on garbage vs ultra killer south african madness... no question what's bettah. I think I am seeing a pattern here. Remixing 80s and 90s euro, dance, and pop = very questionable. Remixing 90s industrial and metal = some good results! (south of hell, rain, closer) Remixing 90s rave, techno, and trance = hmm, really not sure. I think Shift is 3 for 3 as far as remixes go... undoubtably the remix king. Nine Inch Nails, Age of Love, and Megadeath, all successfully remixed. Killah.
  5. It's tough to choose between FREq, Jaia, and Tegma... hmmm...
  6. Big respect Joske, Fabien... just got the new compilation and it's the genuine stuff! Very nice work and the future plans sound excellent.
  7. I met him at a festival out west... real nice guy, shared some smokes with me he says this is his last batch of trance - anything new you will hear from him will be on the chill out side of things. That may change but he sez that's what he's into now (and this may interest some of you out there). I still have to check out this album...
  8. What in fuck are you talking about? This is atrociously cheezy.
  9. Meh, totally sucky imho... Yotopia is the half that split off if I'm not mistaken, and that's where the talent lies.
  10. Where can that be found? Could be interesting... As for the mexipsy, Xibalba has a few moments but it's still falling into that 'more punch than depth' category for the most part... I'm just shocked that I can't find one really lovable track from an entire country
  11. "unmodified truth"? You're such a dick.
  12. Hmm... sounds rich and psychedelic - dark full-on with more going on. Anyone else spent some time with this new album and have anything to say?

    Shpongle - Remixed

3, 4, and 5 are among my favourites here... what's the problem? Sorry your nipples don't get hard.

    Shpongle - Remixed

Agreed. This album is so strong... great stuff from everyone except perhaps Total Eclipse (that one is kind of boring)... the rest - brilliant. I play these tracks out a bunch and it's always getting a great response! The greatest strength of this release is the diversity... quite a wide array of interesting interpretations of Shpongle can be found here! Check it out for sure.
  15. I don't remember it being very good... so many people claiming this or that release is "not full on" these days, gotta be skeptical. People want the old school sound? Why is Torakka not getting more love?
  16. There's a LOT of mexican trance releases out there... I mean, just a huge assortment of artists and releases on various labels. Perhaps surprisingly, I've never really been grabbed by any one song - am I just not looking hard enough? Recommend a few actual tracks that stand out from the bunch, if you can! Most of the groups I've heard sound like watered down GMS clones, and the progressive tends to be that sticky Germanic style with more punch than depth... so where are the hits?
  17. I think Vana is off somewhere laughing at all the confusion this particularly abnormal release has generated... it seems like no one can make up their mind on just what direction this has gone off in. I've listened through a bunch of times... didn't really end up liking the first album like everyone else, so I wasn't expecting to like this one either. Not sure if I do, even still.... but it IS very different from anything else on the loose these days... Pirate Signal is full of cheeky rave sounds. Hoovers, snare rolls, funny samples and crazy-ass build-ups? This all makes for a distinct warehouse vibe. I really don't understand why anyone would deem this to be average. Look, I don't even know if I like it - and I actually think I don't - but it sure as hell isn't average. Weird stuff from Rinkadink... sort of like Broken Toy but much more wacky.
  18. I don't know - I'm not convinced. I guess I want them all to be anthems like Vieteri Kierre and Illegal Operation.
  19. You guys don't build castles in the sky then?
  20. I'm listening to Dynamo - The Acid Daze (the title track from the album) and I'm wondering if this is going to get to be some kind of trend? I hear People Can Fly, Reload, an Infected bass line in there somewhere, some other (old school?) song I recognize but can't place, a little slice of Party Pooper... huh? And isn't this what that terrible Alien vs the Cat album was all about? Very curious... I haven't seen any reviews of Dynamo and it's already on sale at saiko... this usually indicates an album was very poorly received...
  21. As usual, I entirely agree with pr0fane. I bought it... but I'm not entirely sure why... maybe it will grow on me? So far I'm unimpressed.
