  1. Did Crystalixir ever get a real release? I'd love to find that in full-quality somewhere, still one hell of a catchy psyambient piece...
  2. Hacking the Reality Myth is a faaaantastic CD - and last I checked they have NEW copies in stock at saikosounds!! Hmm, best aussie compilation ever? I think it might be...
  3. What the hell are some of these lame knock-offs doing on the list?
  4. Meh, I think it's a bit bland.... I believe I have it on vinyl around here somewhere. Strangely I think I have four (?!) copies of the orange theme and the billion and one remixes of it. Funny how epic trance circa 1997 is like all ripped off cinematic themes and orchestra bits (DJ Sakin anyone? Andora - Bladerunner?). It took years before I realized how talentless most regular trance producers were in the day. By pure coincidence I also stopped munching disco biscuits around that time. I'm sure these two facts are not interrelated.
  5. Some of the songs were released on later Nova-Tekk compilations so do some digging... hmm, gotta dig up Andy's email again (lost it in a crash - argh!) to see what might happen with the album, but I don't think its ever going to come out. Indeed it is one of the finest post-millenial Goa trance albums, and a real shame that it never was commercially released. I threw some of my own money at this lost album and put Liquid Neon Sky & Book of Eden out on vinyl two years ago, and if anyone would like a copy just contact me privately!
  6. Haul ass to the isratrance forums then, you'll find many like-minded souls and very little conversation.
  7. I'll pick out a few more some other time but when it comes to STORY TELLING there is one track that I feel is the ultimate: Manmademan - Welcome to the World. It should be fairly obvious what it's about someone have a listen and tell me if you hear it as well...
  8. Favourites? Dislikes? Commentary on their evolution from early singles to break-up and solo projects? I've heard many of the newer releases but none seem to have the crispy precision of old classics like Melojic - whats with that? Is it just my ears or is their post-Unlimited work really kind of dry... heck even that album wasn't as good an interesting as Headware. Did they stop doing dark tracks entirely? The melodic is nice but it starts to sound wishy-washy after you hear ten of them... there's a chunk of opinion, off-the-cuff. Discuss!
  9. OK, that sounds more promising! Keep it psychedelic! Peace.
  10. I can't formulate the proper words to describe 'Why?'... easily one of the most incredible pieces of psytrance ever forged imho.
  11. MFG is way deeper than Transwave... its true that they were often in the shadow of bigger Israeli names like AP, which is too bad. After Project Genesis was a huge departure from their first two, showing more of deeper and darker side to their work - something that meshes well with Tim Schuldt and Cydonia. I really wish Domestic had come out with an album in that time rather than spewing singles left and right - because their sound would have made a nice companion to what MFG was up to.
  12. Heh... recently I was browsing used CDs in my area and came across this "rare release": It almost looks like it could be trance, but no... http://www.talamasca.cc/
  13. A full on party with full off clothes, aw jeah (erm - )... well that's a bit scary, but you did say "Raja Ram" after all.
  14. Fast forward a few pictures... ummm, what type of party is this?

  16. All I know is that the Prophecy and New Kind of World are both in stock at saiko time to make up for those bad vinyl copies I have (the title track on NKoW sounds bad on wax - poor mastering or something, ruins the bass changes imho)... They have The Message as well but after re-listening several times over I recall why I wasn't impressed... the 3-track EP will do, as it has all the best tracks from the album (Brainwaves, Feel Like God, and uh that other one you know the one)...
  17. (deleted - see review below)
  18. Is this a message lost in time from 2001 or something? Yahel exited stage left long ago. Like the old yahel sound? I'm finding Blue vortex's album Mirage to be similar in some ways...
  19. I'm part of the "Asia 2001 never produced anything really noteworthy despite having a billion songs released" camp.
