  1. Ah everyone's a critic MORE SHEYBA!! !! !! <3<3<3
  2. E.P. there are better uses for your time than arguing with pushy/demanding ppl on the net Site looks nice, though it seems to be lacking a discography... I don't like complicated interfaces too much but this one is fairly slick... ummm, more Sheyba tracks? That would be AWESOME...
  3. they ARE responding to inquiries, try again
  4. I like that site for some parts, but their section on trance sucks donkey balls. The psy/goa isn't THAT far off (some of the track choices are pretty nice for example) but his whole section on anthem trance/epic trance etc is total rubbish. He incorrectly divided the commercial from the underground and didn't do a good job of dissing up either.

    Nystagmus

Its not the big names that come to a city, its who's in that city that matters more... van is very nice for parties unless the ones I went to last month were flukes. Nystagmus has some great new material I like the humourous track "Tommy is Dead" which I heard out there... recipe for a bad trip
  6. Nothing quite compares... hopefully the new album will arrive this year yes he's still active!
  7. I'm just wondering if there's anyone else out there who collects the classic Goa trance releases, on a hobbyist sort of basis (like you would with comic books and the like)... you know, us types who are interested in those early Infinity Project vinyls, know what the green/silver covers of POF records signifies, are still desperately looking for those early Blue Planet Corp 12"s on UFK, and that kind of thing... apart from just finding out if there are any other collectors out there that I don't know of, I'd also like to pass on information regarding a mailing list (for Goa collectors and fanatics) to the right people... reason being: some of us have found that conversation on the topic is often drowned out in many online discussion mediums.. >peace<
  8. RHH/The Next are my favourite tunes from this guy... excellent stuff, just amazing!
  9. I still have a mint, unplayed copy of cryptic crunch on LP... contact me if there are any -serious- offers.
  10. Well, aren't there goat samples in that pure trance mix? or sheep or something? it cracked me up when I was trying to sit through it... Look - its pretty easy to identify proto-trance and proto-Goa... you know, music with a beat and a bit of that trance feel. There's plenty of that in the 80s and though most of it was short and arranged around the vocals you can still find instrumental pieces... but they didn't yet have that Goa sound to my ears, which is why I tend to peg things as starting off a little later. Something like Doof's Indisposable Hymns to the Infinite (1993) is certainly electronic, most likely trance, but questionably 'Goan'. If Scarab truly originates from '92 I'd give it the honour of 'first Goa track' mainly because it is so distinctly Goan - no other way of looking at it. Those beats, that infectious didge, those melodies - its GOA! No question about it. Music is for discussion anyhow it's all a matter of taste and opinion. No one is right.
  11. Ugh... make your own samples ya lazy artists... no one has anything original to say with their music?!
  12. Sorry, I don't buy it. After hearing the pure trance mix of that KLF song I could only think - jeez, this is GOAT trance, not Goa trance! They got it wrong! baaaaa-a-a-ah! I heard reports that Prana's Scarab was originally produced circa 1992, this true?
  13. Ra'anan where are you at? Your music is too good to stay hidden...
  14. evil vinyl = black vinyl with red glitter embedded in it... I think they made 300 copies? cool little gimmick anyhow, probably gonna make that album worth a lot...
  15. perhaps the tune you are looking for is... dark nebula vs paraphanalien - generator X

    MFG?

Total eclipse mix is just a subtitle I'm fairly sure. 90% sure in fact. Has nothing to do with the band at all. You can look the sample up in some sample web sites - I know its out there for sure! =)
  17. Anyone own the "Evil vinyl" version of this? Now that's more interesting...

    sandman

????????? WHAT? But his last album was one helluva supreme awe-inspiring example of the dark/techie/minimal styles!!! Labels gotta stop releasing this cookie-cutter "full on" garbage and get with the real music!
  19. Juno reactor are kings of that... This thread is fairly complete. However, don't forget certain selections from Prana (i.e. Kollage) or Snake Thing (i.e. SCORCH!) and the best of all... GERMINATING SEEDS OF DODA. But you'll have to be a crafty character to find all their best tunes in mp3 these days - they were rare to begin with! Finding the vinyl won't be much easier either - but good luck, its worth it! Deviant Electronics have a track called 'Enema Suite' which is a really nice mix of trance and relaxed breakbeat-fused soundscapes. I believe you can download it from mp3.com somewhere, or find it on the Symbiosis compilation Iconoblast (which has many other good psybreaks tunes)... Happy hunting - its a wicked style. You also might wish to ask around for psychedelic/trancey sounding "nu-skool breaks"... its not a genre I'm extremely familiar with but when I hear good samples from it I'm usually quite impressed and it ends up sounding like a modern take on what these guys were trying to do years ago.
  20. Wait, you mean this music isn't redundant old stuff that should be gathering dust on a shelf somewhere?! Suprise! I play old stuff such as that... though if you're going to play some Astral, it makes some sense to play a few tunes that haven't been beaten to death over the years. Despite this, you really do not hear this often anymore, so even a dead track from yesterday can sound great in the present. I would agree that the '96 mix is the best... as for my reaction - well I'd be jumping around like a mad man, just the same as everyone else
  21. If you stick around you'll probably learn to regret those words... Koxbox are the kings of psychedelia. They're also some of the most brilliant melody makers in the scene! Don't believe me? Then you must listen to 'Dreampod', 'Too Pure', 'Stay Psychedelic', 'Fuel On', 'Gods Eye', 'Point of No Return', 'Electronic Brainwash' and so on and so on... they have tons of amazing songs - just dig back a few years. Their new stuff is brilliant in its own way, but not like they used to do. Dragon Tales is the key album to grab. Don't miss out!
  22. Hey - thanks again! I checked out Xervana (whom I hadn't really heard before) and really enjoyed it... they're on my shopping list. Although when searching around I saw mention of a new album in 2003 released on age-old Kavator Recs? Know anything about that? Well, I like strange covers...
  23. check it out! ...turns out I'm the first customer surely some others like the funk/psy blends?
  24. Seems like things are really winding down over here, so I thought I might drop another invite to the community here to come check out our strange forums -> !!!~ here ~!!! Our community has grown into something a bit different this past year... more conversation about a wide variety of topics (definatly not all psy-focused), and we've been able to exist in peace with very little moderation (probably the worst that happens is someone's topic gets moved to a more appropriate forum)... the party section is mainly about Toronto and surrounding area, but there are a lot more international members who come for the dialogue and such. Give it a shot for a few days if you like... all creative types are very welcome. peace
  25. ??? Sounds like you know a lot about the ancient TIP work... if you'd like to email me I'd love to know more! I'm a big fan of the Infinity Project, but only have material from 'Feeling Weird' and after pretty much (though I do own TIP001 which is nice to own)... really I've been trying to figure out what was going on in their '89 - '95 period but information is scarce... any help would be nice, thanks!
