  1. isn't this the song he ripped off from the muses rapt??
  2. Basilisk

    NP?

10:54AM At Work Afrotrance - Spiritual Energy
  3. probably deviant electronics - when then is now... inspirational
  4. their live show was pretty cool... I'm not sure if they're regular members of the group, but the russian girl was quite a performer and the guy on (electric?) violin made some great melodies... wicked show, and with juno reactor coming right after that... well, those guys are in a league of their own! incredible stuff!

    Quark-

    plastik park fiasco?
  6. I dig it... it is a respectable remix in a new flavour... there are only a few original/remix pairs where you can truly consider both to be good for different times, and this is one of those...
  7. ^^ naturally, but a responsible music lover can easily record the contents of the set after the fact re-reading my post I realized 'compose a set' could be intepreted in a few ways...
  8. Is anyone sure of anything? I checked out two of those old MWNN releases but... hrm.
  9. I agree, many dark tracks get into the pound or don't build atmosphere before they build beat. Here's a few I suggest: Semsis - Heroes and Madmen Slinky Wizard - Sacred Fist Double Dragon - Soft Machine (incroyable!) Koxbox - Stratosfierce 2001 Spirallianz - Battlejuice Cydonia - Freakshow And due to the recent SARS scare in Toronto I recently opened a set at an outdoor party with Xenomorph's Neurotoxin that was a chuckle...
  10. I post just about every set I compose to my own page - http://www.ektoplazm.com/ent-basilisk.html ...scroll down to 'history' and click on any of the '+' signs you see for more info. I don't know whether most djs are lazy, unmotivated, or protectionary of their sound content... but I don't see many people who post lists. I think its a good idea... people generally like my sets, and I'm proud to be able to say 'go to my web site if you wanna find out who actually made those sounds'... its a little better than yelling track names over loud music as I've found NO one gets what you're talking about
  11. Any used/new vinyl shops with Goa in Holland anywhere? I'll travel!
  12. Basilisk

    Ticon

Hear it at a party before you decide... thats what I'm waiting for at least...
  13. is this one of those daft David Lynch puzzles with no real answer?
  14. OOOH.. I was gonna ask that =) I'll be visiting in late August... any word? peace
  15. Gonna play some MP3s? I hope you're not stealing a gig from someone who buys their music if thats the case........... But I won't pass judgement... Try some Cydonia, Psychaos, Tim Schuldt, Semsis, or Tortured Brain.. some of my favourites from the innovative Atomic days (and its a stone-cold shame where they ended up - fssssst).
  16. Yes it is silly to just name tracks after a theme without making the music live the concept... in some ways it works, for example IFO works quite nicely on both fronts I feel... stellar sounds, right?
  17. CHI-A.D. have been in the studio working on new material... I have no specific news on an album release though.
  18. Sure, I've been enjoying the low-bpm or chilled trance quite a lot recently, so I've found some nice stuff... try any of these ones out: 12 Moons - The Voyage Vibrasphere - Silver Sun Deviant Electronics - When Then is Now Morphog - Out in the Fields Human Blue - Electric Harmony Cyberbabas - Indigo Blue Man on Earth - So Son Kite - Sunset Street S>Range - Broadcast / Boom (both good) Doof - Sunshine Noma - Another Time Magnetrixx - Didgediroo (spelled differently perhaps) Tranan - Moody Kiwa - Arachnoid Dub (more chilled, but very nice) I call it 'beach music' drift away and enjoy...
  19. OH no wait I was thinking of the VIPER song from Kiss the Future 1... mmhmhmhmhm MUSIC
  20. NICE! these guys make some of the most fantastic chill... really been enjoying the pianos in 'the big sleep' and of course, manzanilla from their recent album... this IS great news.
  21. I'm thinking of SEMSIS for some reason...... little bit of guitar in this track?
  22. Hard to believe the Hallucinogen only got one bid! Thats a steal!
  23. Its too bad, but economic necessity is slowly fazing the format right out... but this topic makes it clear: there are still people out there who appreciate a good record... (this strengthens my own personal mission!)... About question 2) from above - there are always many releases in all mediums that fall by the wayside and aren't always available in the major online shops... some hunting around will yield great treasures.
  24. Well in all honesty it lacks a number of features offered by other sites... it may be more accurate or complete but is often not very helpful if you don't have a rough idea of what you're looking for. Good news is: all that's gonna change in a few months (or whenever) when we kick off the new php-based version... in any case, thanks for the kind words =)
