  1. My vote goes towards Trust in Trance (3) as well.... Dancing Galaxy a close second, followed by Another World (some really cool tracks here).
  2. Those releases were all (or nearly all) made on Tunnel Records, Germany. Look on any good discography site (psy mind expander, discogs, astralogue) for a list of what else they released back in those days.
  3. Maybe I just need to listen to it again... I was quite satisfied with the original however. Quaz; you've got a cassette right? any way to record to your computer and then mp3ize?
  4. definatly check out the oryx album (though I only have the EP - its great).. its something really interesting and different, though i somehow draw some parallels with the highpersonic whomen EP I also own (this one's more linear however, just a bit warbly/manic)...
  5. Put a sample online then? Maybe we could help out =)
  6. I think there may be... but just like the other unreleased remixes of old etnica projects, it probably isn't as good. I mean, wtf can you do with a track like that anyhow? They did a really stellar job on Trip Tonite however.....
  7. Good vibes... nothing groundbreaking, but nice to hear...
  8. I'm with you... after years of being troubled by the general lack of spirit I chose to put my time on the line and do something about it... a bunch of friends and myself have pitched in and we're doing what we can to bring back the classic sound in our area... why not try the same in yours! Our little label had a first release already - a nice 12" from CHI-A.D. Now we're hard at work compiling a CD and working on our web page to make it a nice vehicle for giving away free MP3s as well... after all, our concern isn't to make any money, but rather to spread some good vibes, so why restrict ourselves to only physical products? Come pay us a visit if you like - you're sure to find more like-minded individuals in our online community... Our site: www.ektoplazm.com Enjoy the free sounds.. Peace
  9. Hello.. I am seeking the name of the LABEL where this track was originally released on 12" (it is not subterranean or BTM)... help would be appreciated peace
  10. If you enjoy the sounds of Goa trance, we have a few free tracks to give you from www.ektoplazm.com... visit the 'Soundscapes' area for a full list of whats available. Peace...
  11. Son Kite - Receive (part 2) Artist: Son Kite Title: Receive (part 2) Label: Digital Structures Date: 2003 Track listing: 01. Receive (Part 2) 02. Sunset Street Review: 'Receive' (Part II) has an interesting blend of moods with its quaint melodies and deep beats. The sound quality is as you should expect from this group, with special emphasis on the rich texture of drum elements. Quite decent, with a healthy cross-over appeal, though I admit that the flipside is what I find to be best on this EP. 'Sunset Street' features rich sound quality, deep bass, and gorgeous melodies composed with clarity. Tribal percussion and cosmic effects compete for attention, with significant influences from progressive house. The groove is nearly irresistable though it takes a powerful sound system to truly enjoy this morning sound. Nice one for the upcoming festival season.
  12. Sandman Domestic (soooo under-rated) Space Cat (though DNA Productions is as good as Beam Me Up!!) Freeman / Liquid Metal / Xerox (only the older stuff!!) *POWER SOURCE* (BEST!) MFG Gorlation Corporation / Boo.Reka Infected (only the old) Har-El & Miko (California Sunshine, but only some trax) Oforia Tandu AND MOST OF ALL.............. PHREAKY!!!!!! that's my list
  13. I just dont like the vocals but overall the production is quite good... I respect Tim because he does what he wants, musically. You have to give him credit for choosing his own path...
  14. respect - a highly useful bunch of top 10s!
  15. Where in Canada I wonder? WANTED...

the power source album is available at my local shop if anyone wants to send funds... they've actually got a lot of rarities on CD since no one buys much around here. last week I picked up UFS1
  17. 1- electromagnetic 2- return of the shadows
  18. no, its underground. there's a difference.
  19. I find this to be a fanastic change of pace... great for home listening, probably good for warming up a crowd too. Very high quality swedish trance...
  20. *poke poke* there's one from me in that pile hope your trip was nice dave!
  21. Yes! We take a bit of a loss on each, but we want to make the music available right now..
  22. Well I had been hoping to wait for the record to be in shops but I'll be a while getting this information 'out there' then... so here it is, promo info for the first 12" release from Ektoplazm Records, Canada: We're proud to announce the first release from our Toronto-based label, Ektoplazm Records! CHI-A.D. - Liquid Neon Sky EP (EKT1201) A: Liquid Neon Sky B: Book of Eden Full colour covers compliment the ethereal and spacious vibes found deep within the grooves of this loudly pressed vinyl. The Liquid Neon Sky EP features two melodic trance songs which sound good in the morning hours and at outdoor festivals. Side B will ignite dance floors with its full on intensity and Goa-inspired spirit. Side A is a lush and epic 12-minute long voyage with tremendous crossover appeal, immensely suitable for a set finale. MP3 sound samples and images of the cover and labels can be found at: http://www.ektoplazm.com/ekt1201.html --- *Soon* to be in shops worldwide... you could help by emailing some distributors and letting them know that people actually do buy vinyl but do keep in mind we do plenty of business direct, so email us if you would like a copy and we can work something out. Currently we can ship a single copy to anywhere in the world for US$12 if you pay by money order... keep an eye on our web site for availability updates if you prefer to buy this from a shop...
  23. my interpretation has always been: DJ - someone is spinning other peoples music Live - the artist is playing material they've created, truly live Liva PA - the artist is playing material they've created, but mostly just hitting a button and dancing around (thusly PA would mean "personal appearance")...
  24. s'all good, everyone does with any nick I pick it seems... hope you enjoy the single! peaze
  25. Here's the official word... CHI-A.D. have no firm commitments that I am aware of regarding the full-length album... I released Liquid Neon Sky and Book of Eden (both from Earth Crossing) on 12" just last month - the vinyl is out, but we're having incredible times getting any distributor interested. They keep telling us "no one buys goa any more" and "especially not vinyl". Well, how can we deal if they don't want to deal? So we've had to go to online stores direct, which can take some time... and the expense involved for the stores is sometimes too much - the market is saturated with vinyl releases that are kinda low-budget: plain covers, plain labels, etc... the 12"s we printed up have glossy full-colour covers and labels, and the sound is good... the downside: they were bloody expensive! And since we're in CANADA its costing an extra fortune to get them to European stores... and this makes it difficult for many stores, who are experiencing lower sales, to want to take a risk on a slightly more costly release... now that's a lot of blah about the single, so what about the album you ask? Well, the guys told me that if sales go well for the single, they'd be interested in possibly dropping an album when the time is right... I wouldn't presume to say that would necessarily be us of course, but if things go well we'd probably be one of the few crews wanting both a CD and vinyl release for the full-length album (BTW: the single is vinyl only because the songs would be included on the CD! but that won't come unless the vinyl sells! catch 22)... if things fall apart then chances are you'll just have to scrape up the tracks from scattered compilations (and if you're like me - someone who BUYs music - thats pretty tough to do)... Hope that helps to clear it up... I think the general answer is that there WILL be an album, SOME day, not necessarily called "Earth Crossing"... but if you'd like it sooner rather than later, and you're a vinyl buyer, then check us out... we're currently doing plenty of private orders of small quantities, so if anyone wants a box of 6 or 12 or something, contact us by email! And for everyone else interested in the single but only wanted to pick it up with their regular orders... well its at chaosexistence in oregon, and hopefully in some weeks we'll be able to pressure some other European stores to pick up some as well (emailing these places and requesting the release could help!)... peaze Basilisk (on behalf of Ektoplazm Records) PS we've made no promo postings anywhere since we didn't want to taunt anyone with releases that aren't yet available in Europe... thats the whole reason for the delay, just so y'all know!
