  1. "most notably Vibrasphere and L.A.B., but also..." don't sell yourselves short guys... when i think uppsala i think schlab
  2. it used to be one of my favourite tracks, when i was in the weird time where psytrance + gabber sounded like a wicked idea to me... well, the idea is still good but that track, wow its just crazy. unfortunatly after my ears developed i find that track to be too damn noisy. HOWEVER... "propulsion" has not aged a bit and i still use that one regularly butbut.. we really do need more of the hard and heavy and fast as hell... psy-nrg!!!
  3. i'm with the story telling... unfortunatly they have me writing short stories when my true talent lies with novels! *ahem* cant really tell much in 1h30... still waiting for those 3h sets.
  4. nice!! welcome back, TTR vinyl!
  5. hehe.. thats how much i paid for it too. i know someone who paid like $120 for a copy of the gathering... then 6 months later it gets a reprint *oops*
  6. hey, full lotus.. i never did get an email from you about that big box you got from some "big name" dj.. i'd be very interested in a copy of radio as well as anything else there - send me an email! basilisk@ektoplazm.com thanx
  7. what, a whole thread on this and no mention of the masters... EAT STATIC? imho they give 'psychedelic house' a good name with their pure-fun anthems like epidemic, monstro, city of sin, etc... i dont like the style at all, with a few exceptions, but i do find eat static can make music in any style that still sounds real good. aside from that hopefiend does have some killer songs (just gotta avoid the vocals and/or over-use of repitition) and i am keeping an ear out for that new album just released (its one of those things i'd have to preview before buying, no question about that).
  8. cant copyright the sound of a kick drum..
  9. both this and the ololiuqui album have some vocal bits i simply can't stand... oh well.
  10. heheh.. already my crazy friend alex has the top bid...

    Re: Spect-r

I would be willing to trade my copy for something on my want list maybe - http://www.ektoplazm.com/astralogue/exchange.html

    Rastaliens - Freestyle

Slightly derivative as alleged, but still good.
  13. i heard about this two years ago so it may be an old song... good idea anyway *chuckle*
  14. maybe 1 out of 100 people who use mp3 to dj would write a topic like this... just a guess, but i know it is widespread. hopefully promoters and party people will be aware enough of the issue to put a stop to this where possible.
  15. mike d you say things because you're the biggest offender! choose your own path... you want to take a survey, then do what a dj is supposed to do and survey the people you are playing for (by sight or psychic connection)!

    lab4

i like weirdo, lab4, and k90 - all good. of note to psy fans... the lab4 ep with candy man and the witch sounded like high energy psytrance to me when i heard it a year ago... i've wanted it ever since! great music...
  17. let's keep this on track we all know the world isn't perfect, and especially not the psy scene... so you do the right thing and try not to be so troubled by those who don't! PS my birthday is dec. 1st
  18. these are the kinds of headaches i have to deal with =)
  19. good job, it looks nice! and i despise flash, but this is a very good usage of it... simple, multi-media, delivering all the goods. dunno about these short song samples though but given how little vinyl comes out these days i'll probably be picking up whatever it is will be on the sampler 12"... because i can tell the style is good

on a serious note, this is all true. how do you extend the network if you dont tell anyone?
  21. ...and drugs, dont forget the drugs... hmm maybe that says something too.

ah, now its working.. very clean design!
  23. i fully agree with 'audiodrome' and the yahel (worst of all was when a record shop sent me a private collection poster as a bonus... i burned it hehe). 1200 mics really takes the cake because it isn't just any stupid cover with filters... it is a desecration to my favourite label - it is a mockery of a sacred symbol. but that's just the way i look at it. they'll probably sell a million anyway so who's laughing now?
  24. i always considered logic bomb to be more 'digital' in line with hux flux and psychopod, but now my mind is changed... the new album is not to my liking as much as headware was with its extreme over-computation and byte-beats, but it is still a fine album. i rather enjoy normalised quite a bit... and high density is quickly becoming a favourite. however, there are some vacuous (i.e. superficial or pointless) songs on the album that do very little for me... pop-psytrance, top 40 junk, you know? they can create music with much more depth i am sure (headware proves it) now if only they can make digital-melodic-complexity with extreme depth then i will be quite happy.
