"come check out the best looking psy-forum on the web." i hereby challenge that notion!

you mean they dont come from SPRINGFIELD?

hi there... i recently purchased this record i have never heard before in a bulk auction, and was rather impressed with it. ganggaru is a solo project that later merged with one of the x-dream guys to form children of paradise... so how to describe this older set of tunes? very thick on the bass, and a sort of cerebrally scratchy kind of cosmic melodic aspect... definatly not something i'm used to, more of an experiment i suppose... but i found it good enough to mention here, where some other collectors may run across the recommendation try it out, you might find it good... and they're very obscure songs! peaze

GO... juno reactor remains the best live show i've ever seen... i don't enjoy their music so much off stage but when the full show is on, it doesnt matter, you're just weaved right into the story...

there is a serious rift between the DJs and the dancefloor if you are thinking no one tolerates old songs... how this kind of thing can be understood as anything other than an ego battle is beyond me. is this really what psytrance is about - elite lists, and music that is old and stale the very moment it becomes commercially available? i personally believe a good track is a good track, regardless of age... if it sounds good and its from way back, then its even more remarkable... with so many testosterone fueled combatants at work behind the decks unleashing the newest, greatest thing, its no wonder that someone who slips in a set of old school will get a more excited reaction at times... but chances are that this is different all over the world.

and people are selling this rip on cd on ebay... can u believe it?!

oh and just to prove i'm not 100% fanatic here's something non-record related about france GENEVA, Switzerland -- A French ban on the controversial practice of "dwarf-tossing" has been upheld by the U.N. Human Rights Committee. Manuel Wackenheim began his fight in 1995 after the French ban meant he could no longer earn a living being thrown around discotheques and nightclubs by burly men. But on Friday, Wackenheim -- who measures 1.14 metres (3 feet 10 inches) -- lost his case when the U.N. human rights body ruled the need to protect human dignity was paramount. In a statement, the U.N. Human Rights Committee said it was satisfied "the ban on dwarf-tossing was not abusive but necessary in order to protect public order, including considerations of human dignity." The committee also said the ban "did not amount to prohibited discrimination." The pastime, imported from the United States and Australia in the 1980s, consists of people throwing tiny stuntmen as far as possible, usually in a bar or discotheque.

now that's a shame... i heard about that one though. if anyone would care to put in a civil word for the record i can add that info (as i did with other scammers TIKAL records from japan)... FYI this is for research and work i've been doing on this page here, a list of smaller or obscure labels from france...
-
can anyone provide some info on these elusive french labels? i just found out about monolithe but cant even tell what they did (is that l'elf from turbo trance on there?).. their web site - http://monolithe-records.com/ for the others, all i know about cross is the jaia album and single (time machine), but nothing more... fairway and javelin both did a lot in france i think but i cannot find ANY info really... so any help would be appreciated, especially on the vinyl front (naturally).. thanks!

see a discography for 'high society' records. akasha project has also made som releases on 'insolation'.

well don't quote my history, the only accurate piece is the discography is there no one you can ask at BRR? i'm sure someone can explain more about the speaker company vs the record company and their interaction and where it all started... there is MUCH i do not know...

do not "dj" if you cannot buy original material. its that simple. no one should tolerate mp3 players of commercially available music. -
vocals/singing + psytrance/goa = no no please i hope this isnt the start of a trend... properly utilized synthesizers can say so much more in every language than one person can in one language
-
I do believe that is all of them... that includes whatever track is on order odonata 3, right? I just forget what that one is (magic frequencies I think)... anyhow, they're ALL good, great wicked songs... I have especially been liking "Whale" when played EXTREMELY LOUD... there's something very haunting and ethereal about that tune...

Well I can only be a vinyl fanatic for so long before I have to jump into the fray myself so I'm proud to announce that my label's first 12" is coming in a month or so! The debut will feature two stellar songs from CHI-A.D., and the covers will be full colour and just reeeeking of quality and care if you know me from my years on these forums you know I have an eye for detail and I've been putting 100% into the creation of this first record, hopefully with more to come in the future... so I'll just put it this way - GOA trance and VINYL are both comin' back! I've also been spending a lot of time cleaning up The Astralogue, my psytrance/goa label discography site, because once this is done and we start printing more vinyl I'm sure I'll be far too busy to maintain it as I should! The biggest hurdle to tackle has always been the past, however, and I can say that nearly all major labels have full discographies including tracklists, with a few notable exceptions which I hope to take care of before the 12" release... Read more about the first release here on my board... though at the moment there's nothing more I'm giving out in the way of information... expect full details and a shot of the cover soon though! This record isn't going to be for everyone (come on, even I can admit vinyl is not a popular format) but I hope you'll appreciate that I'm doing my small part to push the old movement forward into this new age... there is a time and place for everything, whether its minimal or full on or totally wacky - the key is balance! But I, and many other people I know, have noticed a disturbing -lack- of one aspect of our culture... that being the presence of pure goa with the true spirit... so hopefully we can change that a little... if the fans are out there PEACE!!

i say give it time... i havent heard it yet but bill is brilliant... and most of all you must remember he makes FUN music, not just psychedelic. it took me a year to actually like intergalactic (for such a while i thought it was a travesty to his past work)... but really, with time you can enjoy the sound even more, even though it may sound 'simplistic' at first. well, think positive

so, does anyone know anything about this guy behind the bandit project? it has such potential... though i dont know why he is called the israeli atmos (but then again i dont like any atmos). i found the few songs i've heard to be very pulsating and some have extremely catchy grooves to them, but this was a while ago and i wonder if he's up to anything new, thanks..

it is on flying rhino #4 - made by kris kylven if i am not mistaken..

current: spiral trax, surreal audio, hmm... not many people supporting vinyl these days classic: t.i.p., matsuri, dragonfly, blue room honourable mention: mesmobeat (eat static's label) who were wise enough to release an album on 5 pieces of vinyl (now THAT is quality! and very much worth the doubling of the price)
