  1. maybe the list imploded from excessive hostility and testosterone or the mechanic did it to get his sweet vengeance!
  2. http://www.ektoplazm.com/astralogue/ is a better choice for EP listings (i have a strong vinyl focus). i'd even add reviews to my site if anyone wanted to submit any. but there has been very little interest so i leave it up to the guys here, even though, as you say, there is very little focus on the EPs...
  3. forum for all you toronto psy headz - http://www.ektoplazm.com/bbs/
  4. the new green ohms sounds like hard house or something!
  5. Malkovich. Funny guy. Edit: jeez I used to post a lot of inane jibba-jabba.
  6. s'all good, always worth an effort. i have none unfortunatly.. well, no cds at any rate..
  7. haven't you been asking for these kind of tips for a while now?! grow your own!
  8. How about a .PDF format pamphlet with basic information covering the topic of "What is Psychedelic Trance?" including a history of culture, music style, what people do at a party and why it is fun, the global connection, etc ...with attention to all the positive points of the scene. Provide a few internet links, and some local scene info, and then photocopy them and put them in stores or hand them out on street corners
  9. sure - anything on my list you'd want to trade it for? http://www.ektoplazm.com/astralogue/exchange.html
  10. i wonder if i got lucky with the xl-400s, as they never pitch drift -ever- in fact i have no complaints with their responsiveness, usability, or anything else.
  11. hey just for you i am putting one of my old mixes up here - it is a bit funky with tastes of house and breaks, and ends up in euphoric goa land near the end - perhaps what you're looking for? the mixing is a bit shoddy (its old) but you'll probably like the tracks. note - i'm uploading now and there's about two hours left, so start sometime after then.. enjoy
  12. for the toronto / east coast connection check out this forum, always updated with any party going on - http://www.ektoplazm.com/bbs/
  13. hi.. i'm a big vinyl fanatic and been into this for a number of years now... i STILL use the very first turntables i ever bought - gemini xl-400s that i netted for $125 (canadian) with a needle... thats basically like 80 euro (for both). i've been completely satisfied with them - and if you aren't even going to really spin them, you definatly dont need more. spend the extra cash you save from not getting over-expensive super-hyped 1200s and buy QUALITY NEEDLES instead! i recommend ortofon concordes - the "nightclub" line, a misnomer if you ask me, is of good quality and can be somewhat affordable... although if you plan on using it for some years then by all means, go with some 1200s - they are very well made (i just dont ever find that they're worth the $700 new, and used you save maybe a hundred, so whats the use)... of course, deals can be found everywhere if you hunt hard enough, and maybe in your area of the world the prices aren't so ridiculously hyped up... good luck!
  14. hi there.. just an update to say i've added a bunch to my trading list, found here: http://www.ektoplazm.com/astralogue/exchange.html just so you know its all vinyl. i'd be interested more in trades than in sales, but if you would like a number of items on the 'for sale' list we can speak of a deal... trading is best however - that way both parties get something better out of the deal (a record they like more).. thanks for viewing.. peaze
  15. psychopod - but dont make me pick a particular song (note i did NOT say 'saiko-pod')

    D5 - Ganymede

only on 12"! i heard this for the first time last week... quite a nice tune =) good luck!
  17. but isnt the problem that the artists seldom have a voice? i mean, yourself excepted EP, but i've never heard anyone share their bad experiences. if i *knew* label "X" was in the practise of ripping people off i wouldn't buy their products. i guess knowing takes a few anecdotes from unconnected artists (i mean, who knows who has a vendetta right).. just your comments about nova zembla made me vow to never purchase one of their releases... and when you pointed out the voodoo witch EP was not even yours that made a puzzle i only figured out one of those songs - process' fine tune "funktion junktion".. but damn, artists should really say something...
  18. records may be out of print but i find them sooner or later the only biggie i haven't found is x-dream's radio for any reasonable price... and some complete rarities like pharagonescia - pharatropic (on spark records).. old school, terrible production, but i really like it anyway so shoot me! i want that spiritual 12" despite not knowing whats on it for sure.. but hey EP i'll for sure keep an eye out for doubles. (i'm half certain i'd find every record i need if i travelled to the UK and hunted around).......
  19. i really have to get that 12".. it remains high on my want list! PS graham rox
  20. the moment psytrance tracks are made to be easily mixed is when you have a trouble.. the fun of mixing this genre is the immense challenge - how do you bridge the gap? it takes more skills than the paint-by-numbers prog trance... i mean hey, i was completely suprised when i listened to a new atomic 12" and it started with just a simple beat.. come on, thats for cheezewank uk pushers and their ditzy broads, not us... er, right? go ka-sol! and dave, you haven't gotten back to my email of like 6 months ago!! ;P
