  1. ah but there's a difference... this is full on but so simplistic... i think the type of full on people want is of higher complexity, depth, or feeling! not endless recycled formulas and hollywood movie samplers.
  2. no vinyl from these guys... now thats a shame
  3. haha, well said. some of this stuff really does have the musical content of happy hardcore.
  4. that posse of like-sounding artists is really killing songs these days, aren't they?! ah give me "do androids dream..." any day. i'll really dislike them if they remix that tune ;(

    fourth flight

DAMN! all my fave rhino stuff is cd-only... ah well
  6. anyone know if flying rhino's compilation "fourth flight - velocity" was ever released on vinyl? i'm looking for the track Astronomikx: "After Life", which sounds fantastic...
  7. i dunno.. its fairly cool but a lot of it just sounds like absolum with a bit more frunglestein.
  8. i see those at ebay - dont pay that much cash! you can find it for cheap if you search int'l and dont get specific into genres (do broad searches)...
  9. good luck & check ebay... its in high demand so expect to pay a high price ($20 us at least)... but keep checking once a week for it, and in 3 months or less you should find it.
  10. -shrug- i just disagree then, no explanation.
  11. if you like merlin i have it on 12"...
  12. no, real audio sucks. additional information - i dont think i would pay for anything less than 192kbps mp3 format files. and even then i wouldnt pay a lot. if you go to a place like www.microdots.org you can request a song you like.. similar to the concept of "available anytime you're online" although in this case its free. also with regards to most of the funds going to the label... that would have no basis in the decision because the artist is unlikely to see any of that money, however much it may be.
  13. well, ok.. (i tend to think its more fun to not know) Paps - Digital Ache [Tip World] Tetraktys - Capricorne [sub Machine] Tripiatrik - Help Us [Creamcrop] Snug as a Bug - Big Block [Atomic] Ninja & Bamboo Forest - Three of Us [Hadshot] Yumade - Gugang [Phantasm] Paps & Droidlock - Just a Game [Creamcrop] Bamboo Forest - Analyser [3d Vision] Cameleon - Love Cricket [XIII Bis] Neuromotor - Stabler Noize [Turbo Trance] Droidsect - The Box [3d Vision] Walhalla - Triplicate [Moon Spirits] Absolum vs Nomad - The Game (Part 2) [3d Vision] label info included so you can find a song if you want to buy it =)
  14. hey, got a new mix up! you can catch it at http://www.ektoplazm.com/... all french stuff, a bit of a tribute to the french sound it'll fit snugly on an audio cd and progresses from minimal to more full on sounds so it makes a nice trip.. peaze
  15. out of range 12" finally arrived in my mail box and wooooooo, what a track! pure spirit, pure vibe, makes me dance like i have no choice.. thanx for the great tunes =)
  16. quirky! cool! its got the darkfunk
  17. well there's no trading done on this new one but i'd like to announce that my new board is ready to go, pretty much! i invite the travellers on psynews to have a visit and check it out... http://www.ektoplazm.com/bbs/ i sure would love havin some hardcore goa fanatics to talk shop with registration is required here but no worries, there's also the "traveller's tome" if you'd just like to stop by and leave a quick hello! peaze
  18. its music worth hearing once, for a laugh, because you realize that some people swear by the stuff... you know you have your psy parties with all the fluoro garb and chai booths and back drops... well the booty house parties in these parts have their own culture, featuring porn on projectors, thong contests with cash prizes, and that kind of thing. you would be wrong to think such a scene attracts only guys though! as for the music, think of cheap beats made on a keyboard bought from radio shack with some repetative samples about sex on top and there you have it. thunk ch thunk ch thunk ch thunk ch "all my bitches down south, stick it in your mouth - all my hoes out east put it between your teeth" etc. its completely ludicrous. fans of such music probably think the same about us 'dirty hippie freaks' though. lenin - yea, play some goa rock! tim schuldt - pretty poison
  19. -shrug- go with what works for you... i think i've stated everything i'd need to already, take it or leave it.
  20. Basilisk

    my goa cd

blue planet corporation - arcana (if it fits, not totally sure it does)
  21. variety is the spice of life
  22. more on the DNB tip... has some very nice tunes though i tend to appreciate the ones from the usual suspects more than the others... so that means top material from acid rockers, deviant elec, and eat static/dendron. the rest, well, nothing really wrong with it but it sorta misses the psychedelic aspect altogether. i still like it tho but i'm a breakbeat junkie.
  23. a good ear helps you mix more you might call it a valuable tool but could it not be interpreted as being a hindering crutch as well? to each their own =)
  24. no idea if its released or what (i guess not) - heard it at a friend's place the other day... unfortunate.
  25. i strongly disliked it (and i'll leave it at that out of respect for those who do like astrix).
