  1. i heard this the other day... what's with this group of artists and hacking away at classic songs? there was nothing wrong with the original so why mess with it, i say...
  2. i would say you'll have a better time learning without bpms... its more challenging, sure, but you train your ear to hear the differences which improves your level of skill. despite my own opinion on this subject i'm sure many others will provide assistance... and good luck.
  3. screw accessable - punish them for their bad taste in music!! seriously though just emit enthusiasm and you should have no trouble... that set seems to jump around a lot but sets dont have to be tame. #1 thing to do is bring a variety of music and try and read the crowd (especially for your situation - trying to build up an awareness means ya gotta cater)... i'm trying to think what kind of psy a booty house fan might like and i'm having no luck... maybe squaremeat - hard horse? haha..
  4. hi... i always see people looking for this and i spotted it on ebay, so - enjoy! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&item=897461789
  5. aw.. 50 bucks.. i so woulda paid that. and yea, after i spent that 80 on tip yellow i found out that it isnt as rare as it seemed to be... one needs only patience
  6. IM are coming to toronto in a month... they have a one hour live show at the biggest club in the city right after bad boy bill and before a 3 hour set by armin van buuren... now what's with that?! there has to be balance in the system... artists should be able to do as they please (and one thing IM has always stated in interviews is a desire to do music for hollywood movies, or stuff with lyrics)... but also, the public should be able to react to what the artists are doing and where they are going.
  7. not sure but i just wanna say they kick octopus
  8. my friend had a gift certificate for HMV a few xmases ago... the only thing he found in the entire place was a tristan 12" on vinyl, right in the small 30 piece vinyl "dance" section that was mostly madonna remixes. and this is in toronto - not exactly a town with widespread psytrance exposure. they've got the longest reach in the biz as far as i can tell...
  9. i love it too and the LP is high on my list of wants but there's no need to get ridiculous =) i'd pay 50 us dollars but thats all... yep ebay is full of people with too much money well i once spent $80 for TIP yellow so i guess i'm crazy too!
  10. i've seen it on ebay once - recently too... it went for $102.50 (US)
  11. its a lil old by now but 'dumbfound' by logic bomb is a great after-party tune. also: bill & seb - into the light (good track but maybe too cheesy for ya chi a.d. - liquid neon sky (super new track that takes you back)
  12. a cc is good to have when you're young and you dont think you'll be using it that much... why? cuz just sittin on it builds you credit. i had a card when i was 16 or so... never used it much, got a monthly statement and all that jazz, and by the time i actually started using it i'd been with them long enough to phone up and say "hey dont charge me interest cuz my payment was 3 days late! i'm a good customer, give me a break" and they'll do that. i think i have actually given the cc company money once in my life (when i really DID forget.. like a whole month). anyhow dont knock it til you try it, they're very handy online and its like a driver's license - even if ya dont use it you'll have more options down the road if you simply get it. although - counterpoint, there are probably a lot of people that have credit card horror stories too know thyself - art thou an avid spender? well anyway thats what the babble juice told me.
  13. no respect for the classics.
  14. looks like 12 moons are gonna have a full debut album on spiral trax this year have you heard 'northern star' or 'the circle movement' ? very sweet music
  15. why not just listen to some epic trance?
  16. yeah well... the concept does seem rather weak if you ask me. 1997 had sacred sites, 2002 has the sound pharmacy?
  17. Basilisk

aha come on they're just being goofs you cant copywrite a bloody gesture remember what a swastika REALLY symbolizes?
  18. one of the best albums of all time... they call it an ep but its worth several albums of any other artist's work
  19. dang - i just returned from natura in quebec and it wasnt as full on as i had hoped... lots of x-dream/spirallianz/delta... way too much in fact.
  20. there's some dark and funky stuff comin out of north america... keep an eye out for artists like pr0teus, psychoid/siddhais, and sinister funk/indiadrop...
