  1. EP - in relation to audiogalaxy, when people say "greedy record labels" i believe they refer to RIAA and sony and virgin and all the mega-empires that get rich by fucking over the artists... NOT tip world and tatsu and dragonfly and all the labels in our own scene.
  2. who cares, something else will be around soon and it'll be twice as good. in the meantime i'll just buy less psytrance than i normally do, until i can get back to previewing material. it wouldn't be a problem for me if there were stores in this city that stocked good goa trance, but there aren't... and a realaudio or mp3 clip is never near the real thing - i have to absorb a piece of music before i want to purchase it. clips never satisfy. i don't trust them anymore - a few times i've ordered what sounded like a really interesting song from a sample of 1 minute... but it turned out to be complete rubbish for the rest of the tune. if psy guys don't get their act together and provide a way of sampling new music effectively (or, just putting out a lot of high-quality stuff everyone is gonna like then there might be trouble! AG was good, i thank them for enabling me to find plenty of new music that i have tracked down and bought... what's next in the mp3 revolution? who fights the next battle in this predetermined war where mp3s shall surely vanquish the greedy record label empires of RIAA?
  3. great compilation by the looks of it! i have all that elsewhere but they're all incredible tracks (i even like the johann a lot!).. but alas, redundant as stated above.
  4. yes, thats good news.. the labels have to stop fighting change and start embracing it somehow...
  5. yah i know... unfortunatly i dont have that kind of web space available - but if anyone has 125MB free and they feel like hosting this, plz let me know - or, just go ahead and put it there i don't mind..

same here... one good tune i like is 'the link' by menis
  7. patriotism is obsolete! identify with your species, not your country!
  8. digital psionics' third compilation gets my plug... psionic tonic! check it out..
  9. sure, can't see why not... slinky wizard - sacred fist orion - the 8th the infinity project - phosphoressence xenomorph - neurotoxin semsis - storm in a test tube darshan - tranceformation four carry nuts - nuts without sugar slide - the predator koxbox - stratosfierce 2001 messiah - reincarnation of the mysterious orichalcum - alien homes menis - fluff killer psychopod - friagram (growling mad scientists remix) prometheus process - clarity from deep fog
  10. i've got a new mix done - 'electric ziggurat' is an hour and a half long set featuring music in the dark old styles of psychedelia... add to your AG queue here...
  11. mino delivers the definition of hypnotism here on two dark tracks with thick atmospheres and subtle details...
  12. do we have to coin a term like 'mp3nis' to refer to these morons who come trolling for music and have no respect? internet... breeding ground for idiotz. in other news... GO TIM SCHULDT!!! WOO!
  13. hey, how about some more vinyl from you guys? great compilations but i would only buy the wax... just a thought
  14. what part of audio cd do you not understand? mp3s are useless for me.
  15. wow things seem to be going downhill rather quickly will these people be happy only when NO one makes music anymore?
  16. essentially i dont care who is playing at a party if the music is good... unfortunatly, i find good music at parties to be hard to find, so i have to start paying attention to 'names that deliver'. i wish it weren't that way... and i generally agree about your assessment of live acts. juno reactor was very impressive but many of the other acts i've seen were canned/point-and-click performances not worthy of the ticket price.
  17. vinyl 100% right now... cd decks when i can get some cash for 'em but i'm in no rush. most of what i play is old school so i don't really have to worry about upgrading or "keeping up with the times". i have a decent amount of gigs in and around toronto - i'm not looking for superstardom so that small number of shows keeps me content. but i tend to think the smartest setup is vinyl and cds for the broad-ranging goa djs, and just cds for people that are only playing new stuff (bah to that!) *wink*
  18. bugbread, you gotta wonder how much $ the label sees and how much the artist sees. if artists could be contacted direct for licensing questions that would give them more power to NOT work at mcdonalds.
  19. that makes at least two of us... i'm verrrry depressed these days. msg boards are like an escape, but a bad one. they shouldnt be a dumping ground. i probably should have avoided this confusion by not posting a thing... anyhow, hopefully someone will book you out here...
  20. i haven't hit up natura but i will be this year for sure! dunno what to expect but it looks good =) lots of french people on drugs that i wont be able to understand? it'll be a trip! haha.. there's gonna be a virtual convoy of like 20 of us torontonians headin up.. sweet hey fuzzhead, a request couldnt hurt but i cant promise anybody anything... if i only have an hour and a half that's only so many songs, and sheesh - i've already been inundated with requests but ask away! if i've got it maybe i'll bring it in my bag... cuz i wont know exactly what i'm playing til i'm up there and see how the crowd is doing! hey if you're in toronto there's a free outdoor party tonight in the don valley.. if you or anyone wants info check out this thread: here
  21. hehe that song rocks... yea, most songs with 'camp' value do... weird sick twisted, right?! but yea i like the old school sf movie and video game influences! they're fun... fun funfun
