thanks for the input... i also wouldn't mind a little discussion on the morality of it all. my personal opinion is that mp3s or audio should never be sold without the artist getting a cut as long as this material can be bought in stores currently. when its all 5+ years old, and you'll only find these records in used shops and rare places, and the labels have all folded since they released their music, then the artist isn't going to recieve a penny of whatever you might spend if you happened to come across this music. but nonetheless, i am not the universal moral force so would welcome input and discussion on the topic since one thing i -definatly- don't want to do is offend any artists with this practise! to me, its just a way of practising archaeology on music... diving into the past, into this scene we all love, and finding gems lost to the passage of time...
anyhow, this project will take some months to complete and i have all your email addresses [except jeto - but i'll find yours if you dont get a hold of me ]... so expect to hear something, sometime...
oh and btw i've already spent around $500 on chance records i've never actually heard so when it all arrives i hope i find some good stuff!
