This list is about 20 releases out of date sorry, I've been way too busy to keep it updated. Check the web site for all the music you may have missed: http://www.ektoplazm.com

01 :: Blindsided (100 BPM) 02 :: Forgotten, But Not Gone (100 BPM) 03 :: False Hope (120 BPM) 04 :: Recon-Figure (147 BPM) 05 :: Default To Zero (120 BPM) 06 :: Self Destructing Mechanism (120/147 BPM) 07 :: Some Things Last Forever (110 BPM) Ektoplazm and PAR-2 Productions are proud to present The Beginning Is At The End, the third studio album by Jikkenteki (Rennis Buchner). Building on the unique and individual style heard on The Long Walk Home and Flights Of Infinity, this seamlessly mixed concept album is a dark, introspective, and moody opus infused with considerable emotional depth and artistic maturity. Although it is primarily a downtempo album, the heavy industrial undertones and occasional excursion into unusual psychedelic trance experiments make this a completely original production. Mastered by Akhentek at Ilum Studios, B.C. Artwork by Alexander Synaptic with photography at Kiki AKA Keely Chu’s studio in Kensington Towers, Toronto. Download it for free in MP3/FLAC/WAV or purchase it on CD direct from Ektoplazm: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/jikkenteki-the-beginning-is-at-the-end/

Elysium back in the Studio
Basilisk replied to Elysium's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I didn't notice the free download bit the first time... that's pretty cool. Back to the original topic: -
New Shpongle on Billboard top 25 Dance/Electronic chart
Basilisk replied to simorq's topic in General Psytrance
Simon has made a meaningful contribution to art and culture over the course of the last 20 years. -
Elysium back in the Studio

Good luck! -
There was a popular dance track by that name... I think Quirk may have remixed it.
-
What music are you listening to right now?
Basilisk replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Loco & Jam... endless rising chaotic spirals of doom. -
Some releases I've had on a lot: Filteria - Daze Of Our Lives Vishnudata - Vishnudata SubConsciousMind - Intermezzo Extended Cybernetika - Atropos Disco Hooligans - Clear Skies Wow, that's a shabby list. Techno is taking up 95% of my listening time and none of it comes in album format... it's all random tracks pilfered from compilations and EPs. Makes my task of recommending music a lot tougher!

So why exactly did the old masters conform to Full-on?
Basilisk replied to Penzoline's topic in General Psytrance
The irony is that a lot of the old school masters jumped on the Goa bandwagon way back when. Because of the nature of the music everyone wants to assign pure motives to Goa producers but that isn't always true. In any case a lot of the full-on guys have jumped ship for techno. And so the cycle continues. -
I haven't had any time to update this thread in a while but there are 12 new releases on Ektoplazm...

PharaOm - Awakening Bodhisattva EP (UAFR003)
Basilisk replied to Imba's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
A lossless version is now available from Ektoplazm! http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/pharaom-awakening-bodhisattva-ep/ -
I think there may have been some confusion here. You are not doing any trolling whatsoever. My memory is a bit foggy about exactly what aliases bwhale has had over time, that's all.
-
bwhale's disinformation campaign hits a snag.

What, that there are purple and pink tones there? Sure. I also have a big list of recommendations covering the last 20 years of trance music. Naturally the more recent years are stacked with many different types of psytrance. Doesn't mean I hate or even dislike old school Goa trance--quite the opposite. I enjoy a variety of different sounds from different times. You have had a real issue with my choices since day one yet you offer absolutely nothing of value--just baseless complaints and endless trolling. I don't know what you expect from the project--should I post a note explaining that no music worth hearing has been made since 2001? In any case, your views on this matter are completely irrelevant. Incidentally, here's the track listing for my most recent set: This idea that I hate the classics is just nonsense.

bwhale: you may think that if you tell a lie often enough people will start to believe it... but I think everyone already realizes you're just throwing out random shit hoping that something will stick. And it won't.
