  1. I heard a lot of bad music this year that I subsequently forgot.
  2. Thank you Pavel! Here's that Harvest set for those who are interested in it: http://www.ektoplazm.com/audio/basilisk-li...t-harvest-2006/
  3. I still wonder about that alternate version of Ping... I wish it were available somewhere. You can hear it on Inventive Steps if I remember right...
  4. Not only that, but Quirk's debut keeps coming up in 1 cent sales on eBay... there is no excuse not to check it! Good quote too
  5. Clearly you need one of these! http://www.enlightenmentcard.com/index.php?sect=favcard
  6. The year-end boost this was probably my best received mix ever... I am still quite proud of it!
  7. I didn't know where to put this so here you are: http://www.complejoromani.com/web/pages/ap...leiman_2006.swf
  8. Doesn't everyone in every country have access to a no-fee credit card? They make their money from human nature--i.e. it is human nature to spend more than one has, and thereby end up paying interest through your ass. I doubt Saikosounds can do much for their "bank fees" without taking over a bank in any case like Echo I get the ~$20 shipping that usually doesn't go up... so I wait and order a good 30+ CDs and the shipping is then about $1 a CD, which is extremely reasonable. Peace.
  9. Did we order from the same guy or something? Mint condition, 8.50 total to Canada... hmm Wicked album anyway
  10. Oh don't get me wrong, it is... there was a lot of good stuff on that list, as well as some things from USTA (heheh)...
  11. Hey I saw that auction... wasn't it $9 for ONE selection from the list? Sorry to spoil your day if so Today I got TIP - Feeling Weird, Deedrah - Self-Oscillation, and V/A - Tsunami... Symphonatic is still a wild anthem!!
  12. Thanks I hope some people find music they love if they go exploring
  13. Cheers, it is a good sentiment you express here faze Back to page 1 this topic goes.
  14. I am shocked... got a package in the mail today--some ebay winnings. After opening the case for one of the CDs I found the inside coated in what looks to be some kind of black mould! That's a first!
  15. You have a blog yet? It would be worth reading I wager.
  16. I am selling the release this is from so I thought to transcribe the wisdom it contains for all eternity. Can you guess where it is from? Ready? Go!

    MIN.

Curiously, only now have I been able to really appreciate some of the minimal gems of the Y2K era... modern minimal seldom catches my ear (although I will admit Trentemoller has some really good tunes out there). In terms of minimal psytrance, La Baaz, if they qualify, is probably the most enticing project. Tracks like Asirion (on Cold Groove) and Bodyloation (on Aeon) are so incredibly streamlined. Sensient continues to impress me (although I was initially boggled by their second album, Tim's evolved style has really grown on me). I am still not too sure what to think of Minilogue, aside from their newest creations being extremely well-produced... same with Extrawelt--not sure if it's doing it for me. I will need to wait and see if it all grows on me... Does anyone have recommendations for the psychedelic side of "traditional" minimal techno gurus such as Richie Hawtin and such? I am just waiting for that one track to really grab me...
  18. This is probably the most advanced sounding release from 1993... the production quality is quite impressive, and the song-writing is naturally excellent. Eat Static were trailblazers!
