  1. Exactly... old school energy, modern production, and compositional maturity combine to make it Blenn's strongest album.
  2. Cosmic Experience gets my vote as well...
  3. I put a helluva lot of work into my mixes... check them here - http://www.ektoplazm.com/audio/mixes/ (there are a few others in there as well)
  4. Gotta luv when you mangle your own links - http://www.ektoplazm.com/downloads/ I'll check into present things when I get home
  5. Someone asked in private whether I would help distribute mixes... the answer is - not unless it's something really exceptional...
  6. I mostly agree with Detox, although I'm a little less enthusiastic... Orion creates a deeper sound than all the other full-on guys out there, but you aren't going to catch the details if you skim through or play it in the background. I disliked the previous album, but this one strikes a nice balance between serious sounds and playful grooves. Fun stuff!
  7. Isn't this all about peace and love? Well, yes, all right... but it doesn't mean we have to shut our minds off and accept everything with open arms. Have a look at other styles of music; other media... literary criticism, movie reviews, etc. are much more blunt at times than what is considered harsh in psytrance circles. As long as negative feedback is delivered with some thought to it, what is the problem? Sure, the internet is full of misinformed rants and thoughtless abuse, but that's just how things are when you give some measure of publishing powers to anyone and everyone.
  8. These clowns are turning the potential of digital music sales into a joke. See my current avatar
  9. I heard the Wizzy Noise remix of Trip Tonite at a festival just now... it sounded fantastic!
  10. Thanks for the comments leave a few on my site as well if you feel like it
  11. I believe you missed my point, so let me be blunt. They can completely sell out every release, but if the distributor doesn't pay up, the ship sinks.
  12. Fact: the same concerns were raised in 1995.
  13. Now, I am in the midst of authoring a piece on this very subject, so I hope you won't mind some half-formed off-the-cuff comments on this subject. The whole notion that downloading is the root of all evil is nothing more than propaganda. One topic: why do releases sell less these days? You can blame it on downloading, but other factors, such as the sheery quantity of releases available for purchase, should be considered. This isn't the point I wish to make, however. Even the best selling labels can fold. Follow the money trail; connect the dots. What major distributor recently declared bankruptcy? Any time a distributor closes shop, their outstanding debts go unpaid, to be absorbed by the labels. Even when the going is good, some labels aren't consistently paid for their successful releases. If you ask me, it is more feasible to examine and improve the situation of business practises in the small psytrance marketplace than it is to change the listening habits of countless tens of thousands of trance fans out there in the world. R.I.P. Spiral Trax... one of my all-time favourite labels.
  14. Heheh... and I am only selling my copy for $40 CAD... already in negotiation, but it's been sitting in my for sale list for a bit.
  15. IFO on vinyl ending in 25 minutes... I wonder how much this will go for? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...:MEWA:IT&ih=001
  16. Seeding & cross-promoting here: http://www.ektoplazm.com/audio/kesa/ Nice one!
  17. Mehdi's Kaleidoscope... perfect for when you're sick of having a mix sit around on your hard drive unreleased, and you need a killargh cover in impatient design time

These tracks have been chosen for their intricate rhythmic programming, deep and groovy bass lines, warm summer melodies, and laidback atmospheres. Instead of being a peak-time party mix, this one is crafted with smooth harmonic mixes for background listening in the car or at home. Enjoy!
