  1. I just spent all night listening to Finnish stuff, figuring that since my mind was such a wasteland from the weekend that I may as well just turn right off.... man, I can't really tell the difference between any of this stuff, or understand why there's so goddamn much of it. Finding the good tracks in amidst all the same-sounding stuff is near impossiiibbbllle!
  2. Hahaha what do you mean? That's GREAT!!!
  3. The promo info is also winnnering.

  5. Dude, you're talking about 30 minutes of extra download time... BT is fine if there are dedicated seeders. The point is to get something that gets big files around that doesn't cost anyone anything. Then again my perspective may be different... I remember setting up downloads for a night on a 9600 baud, nabbing the earliest of mp3s and becoming exposed to this wild and wonderful music we're all into... Anyway the technology is secondary - I know bittorrent isn't ideal. If we all had mega bandwidth and could have an ftp site up or just fling things over the web then fine. But it's not like that - someone's got to pay, and not everyone has mad hosting to participate and help out. What everyone here DOES have is an internet connection... many people are on broadband. If people feel like making a bit of effort (and that's what a contest is about - getting people to make effort) then it wouldn't be a problem at all. I sure would like to motivate people to get off their asses and stop sitting there merely being consumers... get involved, right! There's lots of things people can do aside from sitting there sucking up atmosphere. Mind you, you're doing something cool, and in a much different way, so just keep on with that my fanaticism is not incompatible with yours! haha...
  6. Forget a free MP3 compilation, put out a free WAVE compilation! If everyone involved in the community gets the torrents flowing our collective wangs will far outweigh all the individuals with web sites! [/soapbox]
  7. This really is the kind of thing bittorrent is good at... *grumble* Here we all march out our pet causes, evidently... personally I think the contest would be 100x better if there were simply no money involved at any level.
  8. For the torrent users out there, grab it here: http://www.ektoplazm.com/tracker/torrents/...05)_MP3.torrent
  9. Hey everyone... it's that time of year! Bust out your Dark Soho and give it a spin to get in the Halloween mood... this stuff is pretty much perfect! Aside from Combustion, which I think is their best work, I wanted to point out that they have a great new single out by the name of Fairy Tales... check it out
  10. True The question is... have you ever heard the real Tim Schuldt remix of Columbian Necktie?
  11. I totally need to come back to this and give it another (better) review. It does grow on you. I had listened to it so many times by the time I wrote some stuff down, but... not enough, evidently. I'll edit the original one out now and post here when the time comes. Treat any comments I may have made as a product of the time in which they were written...
  12. Why not release the waves themselves, with high-rez cover art, so fans can burn their own? Great promotion...
  13. Prodigy - Voodoo People I used to play the original to start a Goa set - no, really. It works quite well!
  14. The question on my mind is - just how do you pronounce their name? D-range-oh or D-rang-o?
  15. I have Tumult in my hands right now... playing of the first track will commence imminently. I trust you freaks know what you're talking about
  16. Not a review, but where can that compilation be bought?
