  1. I saw Spun today. It had Rob Halford cameo appearance
  2. You should also mention Dream Theater. :wank:
  3. The people are having a good time, why the hell do they have to know what music is being played??? I don't understand
  4. I'm not sure how much of Digweed's music you've heard Ormion. I think from Producer's viewpoint he beats pretty much any psy producer in terms of production quality. You might not like the music but at least his kicks are crystal clear and not muddy like Psykovsky or any other psy producer. I don't fancy Space Cat's music for instance lately or Alien Project but their production is always top notch. You have to be able to separate between the 2 things.
  5. I really like some heavily gay music from 80's like Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode and New Order. I also like pretty much everything by the Neptunes, BT and Timbaland. Even stuff they did for Britney Spears and N'Sync.
  6. Admitting. There are bad djs that play good music. Simon Posford gave a Shpongle dj set here a month ago. His skills range from ok to annoying. But the music was out of this world (mostly his stuff from different projects, not only Shpongle).
  7. Of course you are allowed. Just be prepared to get mocked that's all. There's good full-on btw. I'm sure there's also good dark although that people that do it insist that their music is not dark (Ocelot for example). His music rocks but he hates that term.
  8. Not exactly. He insists that he'll be the only dj in the bill. So the chance you'll catch him in a festival is minuscule
  9. The music he plays is not clubby, it's crappy. If you want to hear what is proper dj mixing head over the dj promotion section and dig sets by Nemo, Basilisk or Profane. Should answer your question.
  10. Agree with Profane as well. I'd take a good, planned dj set over a so called live set. How many djs do you know in the scene that are only djs? I can probably count on my both hands. Peter Digital, Dimitry (well he produces as well a bit), Krell, Basilisk or Profane (yes, he's pretty good) Look on any Festival line up and you'll see mostly live sets or live sets + dj sets by the artists (most of them don't know shit about mixing properly) and tell me sincerely that Dj's appear more important in the psy scene.
  11. You know not everything is black and white. And not everything that is not hardcore super psychedelic stuff is clubby. About him being a dj with good skills... Well never mind.
  12. He seems like an old fart with bad music selection and insulting dj skills
  13. My honest opinion is that you probably should look for your fame in other artform. Music is not for you.
  14. It's a combination of not enough time and not enough review worthy material i guess. For many people that were reviewing here a lot.
  15. Emo Psy you mean? Could be interesting!
  16. Excellent material yet nothing like IM
  17. Excellent material baba Es ol weys
  18. 1. Intro 2. Serenity now 3. Psychic Experience 4. Sao Paulo 5. Stimulator 6. Presence 7. M.A.R.S. 8. The Light 9. Exposed Unless you have been living under the rocks in some Afganistanian cave you should already be familiar with Ace Ventura and with Iboga Records. If you're not, i can only suggest you pressing pause on your Astral Projection mini discs and smell the espresso. This is Ace's debut album and he releases it after a string of pretty successful single tracks on Iboga and Echoes records to name a few. The album consists of 8 tracks and one short intro in the beginning. So what's on the menu? Serenity Now, a small homage to Seinfeld, starts with indeed a quite laidback vibe, a nice taste of what comes next but not much more than that. The 3rd track, Psychic Experience, that was written with Mr. Capo aka Liquid Soul, a core member in the Iboga family with one hit album out. In this track, their second one together they really kick off the album. This is a firm dancefloor killer with catchy sample and strong rhythm. The 4th tune named Sao Paolo is the first barbaric track in this album. It presents Ace's trademark full-on in guise of progressive sound and this tune already causing havoc everywhere it's played. Including in Petach Tikva. Stimulator, the 5th track was co written with Dani Keinan, aka, Intelabeam. Although this track sports really cool trippy sound it fails to really deliever. Some nice moments there but unfortunatelly nothing more than that. Presence, the 6th track is another barbaric monster. Heavy pounding beats that only towards the end leave some space for a tiny, yet efficient melody. Play it till the neighbours call the police. M.A.R.S is next and it's yet another stormer, fortified with a sample from the cult Total Recall movie and some vitamin 303 to send you back to the happy 90's. You'll dig to this one without asking. The 8th track was co written with Lish and it's probably the biggest hit here and if you've been to a party lately there is no way you could've missed it. This is a long, 10 minutes epic, with some serious hands in the air melodies and rhythmic changes. Killer one. The album is closed with Exposed. It's as expected more laidback tune, can't say it stands out in any way but after the track that came before not many tracks would. Bottom line: If you love your trance gentle but pounding. Melodic but not overly cheesy and if you enjoy the Iboga sound this album is a must. I think it tops easily everything they have released this year. Favorites: 3! 4! 6!! 7!! 8!!!
  19. Gay Dark Psy. 160BPM with killargh bassline and Pet Shop Boys samples. Sort of Texas Faggot on Meth and Seroxat. Happy Dark Psy. 160BPM with killargh bassline and pitched up Britney Spears vocals. Morning Dark Psy. 160BPM with killargh bassline and cheesy melodies. Protoculture VS Kindzadza on Meth with Heroin. Ambient Dark Psy. 80BPM with killargh bassline with samples of birds and all those Indian samples that Ott still haven't used on his tracks. Progressive Dark Psy. 160BPM with groovy killargh bassline + pads compressed in chain by kick drum. Sort of Vibrasphere VS Psykovsky. Minimal Dark Psy. 160BPM with killargh bassline and nothing less. Perhaps some downsampled chainsaw sample here and there. Sort of Shiva Chandra VS Horror Place
