  1. Beh. Lull is the best tribal prog trance album and TCD is the best morning cheese progressive album. There you go, no need to fight.
  2. Just in time for the 3rd Hallucinogen album

    Koxbox - U-Turn

Not an easy one to review... Very incoherent and more of a compilation than an album. In one hand Frank'e follows the trend and gives his interpretation of the Full-on genre in the first half of the album, than towards the middle of the album the sound becomes less intense but more intricate and than there are 3 tunes with Ian Ion that sound exactly like the Kox Box that I've learned to love. My personal opinion is that this is a totally worthy album. It has at least 5 excellent tracks that will surely blow any given dancefloor. Although it has absolutely no story or flow between tracks (only towards the end) and it surely doesn't get anywhere near the insanely high standards they have set with The Great Unknown, it still is a good purchase for home listener and essential for Dj's. 8/10 Favorites: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7!!,8!!,9!!
  5. OOOD are a 4 piece collective from UK that already graced us with 2 albums a few years ago. I didn't really connect to aLive which was the first debut psy-trance album that was recorded live but their second offering, Breathing Space had a few of my favorite ol-school Goa tunes. And now 7 years later they are back with their 3rd album that seem to have all that funk and groove that OOOD were renowned for with their previous offerings. I am very much against shelving music or putting them into boxes but this album is the perfect morning material for me. Although it sometimes borders the cheese line with guitars and too frequent samples it's mostly manages to be uplifting yet psychedelic, melodic but not overwhelming, passing the traps that so many morning artists have been falling recently. From the epic "Free Range" to the ultimate morning set closer "Eye Of the Beholder" that sounds exactly the way i want Psy Trance to sound today that was made with possibly the most talented artist in the psy-chill scene, OTT and through the dubby Smoke-A-Lot, the deep "The Humming" and of course the best tune Simon Posford never made "Oh My (Good Golly Me)" this is an essential album for any Psy-Trance listener. Especially in the current time frame when the other alternatives range from nightmare inducing night music to vomit inducing cheese morning Israeli style. 9.5/10 Favorites: 2!,3,4,7!!,8,12!!!
  6. I really want to read the Goaholics' reviews of the other full-on crap that released nowadays. It's light years behind this one.
  7. Slower Psychedelic Trance. Around 130 BPM. I'd like to hear more of this. But not the clean progressive Iboga style prog trance, something really wacky with progressive and psychedelic elements, like Kox Box circa The Great Unknown.
  8. Not sure what kind of crack are you high on here in this topic but this album sounds like a typical Boris Blenn Goa/Full-On fusion that actually sounds very nice to my ears. Surely would drive me up the wall in a party in the morning. Sometimes i just can't understand the goaholics here. Borris Blenn sell-out? How many copies do you think did he expect to sell in this lousy scene? As far as Full On goes nothing is better than EU. IMHO of course.

  16. I have mixed opinions about this album. In one hand there are 2 tracks here that i consider to be my favorite from Benji (Arcadia Magic and 9th) and in the other hand there's something that lacks in this album. There are rather dull moments with very simplistic melodies. But overall i think i should probably give it some more time to appreciate.
  17. Can't wait for my copy Hop hop tralala. See you this weekend???
  18. The chances that california sunshine are reading this topic equals the chances of Skazi getting an appreciation topic here.
