has anyone heard of Snug as a Bug before? i saw them live a few years ago and they were fantastic. very good. but i also wouldnt know how to discribe this music. it is NOT full on. but its very dark and driving almost.i managed to track the cd down, its quite old, but i still dig it. anyone know of anything similar to this?

although i dont like most full on stuff these days, how would you classify Timecode's new album. The Turning? it is bloody fantastic. but it is full on...or is it? its much more complex and well produced than most Exail or Skazi or GMS or 1200 mics stuff. it actually sounds a bit less psychedelic and a bit more, hard trance-ish. i dont know. its very good though, but i think the term "Full-On" is gonna branch off into even more sub-catagories.. because to say you "hate full on" would mean you hate all of it. and there is actually quite a few, very very good, well produced, creative and original full on stuff out there... imho of course

umm.....its very experimental, ill give it that.....cant say that i like it, its ok at parts, but then some cringeworthy singing kicks in , and it just spoils the album. could have been very good. but in my opinion, it isnt.

umm....i think its techincal.

i have to disagree with you here. sphongle is nothing short of absolute genius. their melodies, production, creativity is second to none. i would say they are the best down-tempo/ambient psychedelic act around. this is simon posford and raja ram your talking about man!! nothing short of a work of art. a completely emmersive psychdedelic experience. in my opinion 10/10. wonderful. the best even.

lol!!! when i saw the topic, the first tune i thought about was "the secret side" on the new timecode cd. and you mentioned it first! that is a cracking tune. it starts off very raw-techno(ish) very driving and aggressive. but very stylishly done. i was actually listening to it this morning on the train. soaking up the beats before work, hehehe!!

have a listen to this tune... Brain XL - Rodeo Driver i really really dig this tune....and it does sound full-onish, but a lot more dreamy and "trancy" (sorry, i had to say it. ) i really like this kind of style. its very well produced and the sounds very fluid and sublte, anyone know anything similar to this. i like this style very much. also, does anyone know which movie that sound sample comes from? thanks guys OD

i did not mean to judge or come accross harshly. thats pretty hectic dude, and to be honest, if i had to experience that, it would probably mess my head up pretty bad. those closest to you can hurt you in unbeleivable ways. i have had some pretty bad relationships, but i never look back on them with regret. i choose to learn from the negativity and use that to make a positive change in my life. all you are, is a series of memories. how you choose to develop your personality constantly from those memories are up to you. again, obviously i dont know you, so i dont have an opinion about your life / state of being. im sorry if i came across that way.

ok. ive mentioned this like 10 times today already but here goes. a "psychedelic experience" is only psychedelic if psychedelic drugs are used. if there are no psychedelic drugs used. its not psychedelic. as simple as that. so no, you cant turn it into a true psychedelic experience without the use of psychedelic drugs.

damn, you must have been really whipped. ill be honest. i've sort of just gotten together with this girl who i really like, and yeah, i have been feeling /acting a little crazy when im around her. when we are close, like when i can smell her or hold her close it actually intoxicates you a little. you feel light-headed, you cant think striaght. its like being drunk really. but a lot nicer. as for me going into psychosis from it, no. not quite. psychosis is hectic. i doubt you were suffering from that. but as for distorted perception. yes. i can spend a whole day with her and it will fly by in what feels like a few hours. love is definitly a drug. but its not a psychedelic.

no dude. it cant. as mentioned "a million" times before. the only kind of true psychedelic experience is one that involves psychedelic drugs. love may intoxicate you and make you feel all euphoric, but thats a difference experience all together. and unless you want to have sex with a blottler sheet of acid, i dont think a psyexperience can be love either.

isnt it that sample that says "do not f**k with us!!" if i knew better, i think it is from the movie Fight Club. i could be wrong though.

astral projection can be done without the use of substances...in fact im sure that you are actually not supposed to use substances to obtain this state of consciousness. it is however not a psychedelic experience in anyway.

im going to be blatently honest. and this is my opinion. if you have a techno room. you are going to get techno freaks there, if your gonna have a drum and bass room. that too is going to attract a different crowd. eventually you have 4 different scenes, 4 different crowd types mixing. and it doesnt work. the psy line up sounds interesting, but ive learned from past mistakes. if i want to go to a psy party. i want 100% psy. if i want drum and bass, ill go to a 100% drum and bass party. its like pouring 4 different bottles of really expensive red and white wine into a big bucket and gulping out of it. but thats just my opinion. please dont take what i have said as a diss to antiworld. its just not my cup of tea. too all-over-the-place for me.
