  1. im from SA, and yes. their psytrance kicks serious ass. you should hear the new Time Code CD, nasty sh1t. anything off that and Nano records are really exceptional. also have a listen to Rinkadink and Protoculture. wicked stuff.
  2. ill go as far as to say, its more along the lines of clubby, hard trance. commercial trance if you will (thats what i call stuff they play in all the hardhouse/hard trance clubs here in london). skazi is definitely not psychedelic.
  3. this is what trance is actually about. and its true, if you dont get it, you dont get it.
  4. Try "Eskimo - Let it all out". i find this tune is more like techno than psy. its well fast as well (155bpm)
  5. but on a serious note, like my mate and i did this once. we were both quite "psychedelically enhanced" and decided to sit in a dark cupboard for 10 minutes with no sound and nothing to see. pitch black. i managed 23 seconds.
  6. i just find his basslines really boring. and the procussion. and the sounds. and the arrangment..is there anything left to hate?
  7. i still be here! sometimes though if the cupboards are being used (by other like minded trippers) i like to trip sitting under the sink in the dark, with just a light constant water-dripping being the only sound. after a few hours, this proves to be quite an effective manner in driving yourself insane. woohoo, im off to SA for 3 weeks of bliss in 3 days. no worries or issues and plenty of time to regrow my chromosomes. looking forward to it very much.
  8. i like to trip in a cupboard.
  9. i saw them live about a month ago and they were insane. silicon sound played before them which was very nice, but afterwards i wanted something more heavy, CPU delivered this very well. nasty, nasty music.(in a good way)
  10. theres a lot of love in this room man....a lot of love...
  11. i find that there are very few immature people on this forum and like almost every1 seems to be pretty clued up on life and stuff. a breath of fresh air being in an almost idiot-free zone. every1 is quite irie as well. hehe. thats probably coz like 95% of you all smoke dope, hehe.
  12. neuromotor- the brain forest. fekking sick bassline, also i like tikal - breath rmx's bassline, pretty full-onish, but in a more lighthearted way. i really like it. cpu - thinking machines, pretty insane bassline too, heard it as a party and it nearly took the roof off the place.
  13. im not a massive fan of his style as well, its a bit too simplistic and too typical full-on-ish for me. but i dont think the fact that he is immature or whatever should affect what you think about his music. thats just being prejudice to be quite honest, sorry :/
  14. i just saw it was on the "recommended" list on www.chaosunlimited.co.uk. and it got a very good review. would still love to hear it completely. well done to those who made it though. *impressed*
  15. i saw silicon sound on the 25th of september in london. they played a live set and it was brilliant. really uplifting and energetic. they had a 80000watt sound rig. it was really good. CPU played after them and they took the place apart. hard as fcuk.
  16. what is about to mentioned is one of the most irresponsible things i have ever done. i was 20, i was on a lot of acid at the time and i definitely do not condone this, nor would i myself do it again......it was also damn fun. my mate and i took my dads 4x4 and went camping. but somehow for some mysterious reason we started tripping before we even arrived. we decided to take things off road. pumping the psytrance, heads full of acid, driving the 4x4 like it was stolen , doing doughnuts, wheelspins, going mad (literally), and eventually i came spinning around a bend on the dirt road and nearly collided with another 4x4. but being on acid i beleived (and i honestly did) that i was Collin McCray. in a slit second i pulled the hand brake up and did broad-sided past the other car. missing it by like a couple of inches. then it was a matter of speed and leaving the scene of the quazzi-crime and the other confused and angered vehicle in my dust. i cannot describe the rush i got from this. we all packed out laughing, knowing we had just almost killed ourselves seemed intensly funny. i have learned from this. i know now it was wrong. but damn...it was fun.
  17. i have been living in london for the past 2 years and although some of the parties here are great, like the glade festival etc, its still "unrecognised" really, and i dont understand it. the best parties i have been to are the Alien Safari's in Cape Town (South Africa). they are more underground than the more mainstream Vortex psytrance festivals. but they are insanely wicked and so much fun you constantly feel like you should be getting into trouble for it. the only people who venture to the alien safari's are people who "know" and people who really just want to go mad and have a great time. the venues they choose are also fantastic (cape town is a very beautiful part of the world). lakes, forests, apple farms, if its an alien safari, you know its gonna be all good. also they have a big f**k-off sound system. nuff said.
  18. real trance parties let you run around naked.
  19. 50,000 rp?? how much is that in british pounds?
  20. i already have it on mp3. was just wondering which cd it was available on.
  21. fruityloops is sh1t. end of story. although i am not fortunate enough to own any seriousy hardware, i love using Reason2.5, Cubase VST, Reaktor, Battery, stuff like that. fruityloops is just plain useless in my opinion.
  22. i phoned and spoke to a few psytrance suppliers and all of them told me it was never officially released on a compilation or album. a promo cd isnt a commercially available cd as far as i know. did you buy it in the shops or something? where could i get it from?
  23. any1 going to go see Eskimo's Live performance in Brixton on the 27th of November? i am deffinitely going. he took the place apart last time.
  24. i just think he uses very cool little sounds and effects in the tune and when it gets going its quite a stormer. nah its weird one of eskimos best tunes isnt actually available for purchase.
