Eskimo - Voodoo People RMX, as far as i know it came on a singles CD. dunno so much about vinyl.

i really absolutely despised the Cities of the Future single by infected. then i sat down in my favorite comfortable arm chair. poured myself a beer, lit a medicinal cigarette and put my earphones on. and i actually dont know why, i must have been in a funny mood, but i sort of liked it. and got into it. i guess you have to accept something for what it is, and not what you expect it to be. then you can really appreciate it.

was dragged to an outdoor psytrance festival (VORTEX)on a beach in capetown in 1999. there was obviously more then liquor in the punch i was given. and i walked away 3 days later a changed man. i wouldnt change it for the world.

i dont really like the full-on chaos psytrance, but i went to a party this weekend in london, and they finished off with ESKIMO - LET IT ALL OUT. this tune is stupidly fast (155bpm) yet the place was heaving. people were going mental. i must say its a very good full-on, bleeding-from-the-eyes, insane tune. 50k did it justice. my favorite style would be something along the lines of silicon sound, uplifting, high energy, happy morning trance. but i do love it when they occationally bring out the nasty stuff, like eskimo or cpu.

this might sound wierd, but we were all "psychdelically enhanced" shall we say one night at my mates place and he put some classical sh1t on. and its hectic to listen to, very full sound and theres a lot going on. definitely gets your imagination going. but yeah, i cant say im really into his stuff. but that was probably the psytrance of the 1600's

yeah, avoid the new infected album like the plague, and that astrix album in nothing special. i wouldnt pay money for it. just your average, run-of-the-mill israeli full-on psytrance. not aweful, just not very good either.

ok i am from Cape Town in South Africa and i can say whoever told u that is talking a load of bullsh1t. i have lived in Cape Town for 21 years. (been in london now for 2 years) and i have never been stabbed, robbed or beat up once. but the thing is, dont be an idiot. dont walk alone down into some dodgy alley in the city at 02:00 in the morning, as that would be asking for trouble in any city. If you are going to Johannesburg, this is a much more dangerous city. i personally have never been (and will never go). Cape Town is beautful and its not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Most of south africa's crime happens in Jo'burg, which is 2000km from Cape Town. Appardheid was banned when i was still in primary school. so i grew up in multicultural schools where black white colourd indian asian, whatever all attended. and since i grew up with it, i found nothing wrong with it. i am not a racist and i dont know many people in SA who are. the problem is, people are predijuce and dont make up their own minds before they have experienced it themselves. If you are going to cape town (the best place for psy in SA), you will love it, you will love the weather, the multiculture of eveything and i seriously doubt you will be robbed or stabbed in your 14 day vacation, as have never had that done to me in 21 years. just use your brain and dont end up in Kayalitcha (a big dodgy squattercamp near capetown) and you will be fine.

In the tune "Silicon Sound - Shodan" there is a sound clip that goes as follows: "From my analysis of historical data, suggests a 97.34 percent possibility that you are aware of my birth on your planet, and i rebirth into beauty..." i have a suspicion that it is from the movie "The Fifth Element" but im not sure. does anyone know for sure where its from?

i have already been told off for my harsh comments towards Infected, but i have to give them some credit with regards to a few things. they are both extremely talented at what they do. Have a listen to Dancing with kadafi or bust-a-move. they are really well put together tunes. but their style have changed and they obviously dont want to do psy anymore. If they want to be more commercial, let them do their thing. there is plenty other fish in the sea. now go damn you....see if i care!!!! SEE IF I CARE!!! *crying while lying naked in the shower* i feel so used!!!!

if you are ever travelling to Cape Town, South Africa (and you should, its one of the most beautiful places on earth), Try go to a Vortex party or an AlienSafari (www.aliensafari.co.za) or just look on www.3am.co.za for most psyparties in South Africa. Vortex is the loudest but most mainstream (not as mainstream as house-muic clubs though)they are massive outdoor events, and they have the best sound system i have heard in my life. 80 000watts last time i checked... Alien Safaris are smaller and more underground, however they rock more than anything. they are awesome.

yip, protoculture is proper SA style psytrance. i also miss my home country, cape town you beautiful place.
