This album just stays one masterpiece this is really psychedelic!! two weeks ago there was a party with Psykovsky, Kindzadza and Osom in Belgium and that just was 6 hours of psychedelic perfect music on a funktion One soundsystem!!! first psykovsky with uptempo supercrazy tracks, then Osom with their powerful and complex sound and then some kindzadza morning dark, very intelligent

So true, but even if Ant Invasion is the best track of the album, the other are great too but hard to get into

yeah that guy knows how to make some hardcore metal blend with haaaard kicks! not my taste though I see someone named Necton, that guy has some nice kicks indeed! Osom - Activate Drivers => that's a bassdrum to remember but personally psytrance is not about kicks.. the kick and bass needs to be good for sure, but it is more something to hold the rhytjm and make the trance Hardcore is all about bassdrums

Darkshire) (168 bpm) 7. Quantize (170 bpm) 8. Puzzle Fussion (170 bpm) 9. Powered Psidm (190 bpm) This is the second Furious album, made by Nikolay Golutvin from Russia. His previous album can be considered as morning dark psy, excellent music to play around sunrise after a night of heavy dark psytrance. This album is way more intense as you can guess by seeing the bpm's. Most of the time I dont like this überhigh bpm's, but if you know Furious from his previous work and the excellent track 'Some Ossf Psidm' on VA - Nritya Shastra you know you can't let this one pass! Let's review this track by track 01 Furious - NIshtyak (154 bpm) This track starts already at a high bpm, but the intensity is building up.. the bassline starts pretty lowpassed and subby but at a sudden moment it becomes very tight like a motor engine. the details are all over the place and the atmosphere and drive is just amazing. Great screechy leads make this track very danceable and when you just think you had it all, he makes it more intense! Amazing track!! 02 Furious - Alitheia Skotadi (160 bpm) Here we are getting already at 160 bpm. This track starts of in an sort of breakbeat rythm. This track is a bit more calm then the previous one. It has some great formant melodies who sound like old hux flux (bring your own bios).. The end is getting very intense again, with the typical russian lead which tears everything to peaces. Great Track. 03 Furious - Exotic Souvenir (162 bpm) Exotic Souvenir is getting pretty intense again. Darker atmosphere with liquid sounds and multilayerd leads. Personally not my favorite track but still very nice. 04 Furious - Iron Tag (162 bpm) This track has a short intro and an amazing bassline gets in together with a palet of 3d sounds. this track has it all: perfect bassline, very high psychedelic level, great drive, orginal sounds, great buildup, ... At 3 minutes we get a great climax, and at 3min 40 it is getting sooooo amazing. All those excellent sounds drive me mad because I don't know which one i should listen too! And it just keeps going at the maximum psychedelic level! Outstanding Track, maybe the best dark psy track ever 05 Furious - Kore Btk (164 bpm) I know that Furious has a track named "Btk", but I'm not sure if this is a remix or not. Very colorful atmosphere with liquid sounds who sound like they were made with real water! At 4 minutes we get a nice part some catchy melodies and a funky bassline. At 5 minutes again a very nice highpassed russian lead. Again an amazing track! 06 Furious ft. Darkshire - Acab (168 bpm) I don't really know Darkshire but he also has a track with him called Fovos Entromos which is pretty nice. Acab means all cops are bastards in case you dind't know. It starts of with a soft bassline, but at a sudden moments a new bassline falls in which gives a very overwhelming effect because of the contrast with the previouis bassline. This is an atmospheric track with some nice tribal percussion. Again very intense. Great Track 07 Furious - Quantize (170 bpm) This track is getting very fast and is one of the more chaotic and crazy ones. Very nice rhythms and again so much sounds which makes it hard to follow. Very good track! 08 Furious - Puzzle Fussion (170 bpm) Puzzle Fussion is getting into darker regions again. Lots a russian trademark leads again. Very intense again and very psychedelic. The bassline and leads are so psycho, it's like a madman on speed. Great Track 09 Furious - Powered Psidm (190 bpm) On Va - Nritya Shastra he released a song which is called "Some Ossf Psidm", this one is in the same style but only 20(!!) bpms faster. Apart from Osom - Night Flirt I have never heard a very good track at this speed in psytrance. Well this one starts of very intense and glitchy. It keeps getting very very intense and overwhelming. For my taste it is just a bit too intense for listening except if you are in the right mood, but for being 190 bpm trance this is a masterpiece! Good track So overall this album is a very intense one and maybe a bit too intense too listen it from 1 to 9, but this sure is top 3 dark psy albums ever and for sure the most original one in ages. this is what should be referred to as PSYCHEDELIC DANCE MUSIC. Don't be narrowminded on the bpm's because Furious proves that it is perfectly possible to make perfect tracks in this range. Favorites: ALL but especially 1,4(!!) and 5

so far i only checked out Artifakt and maybe it is not full on but it is nice

Ticon - 2AM 01 Ticon - 1987 This track has some sort of 80's synthpop feeling, but way more trancy. For my taste it is way too cheesy and not psychedelic although it has some nice sounds and good production. Not a good track 02 Ticon - Zebra Beat A melodic track with a very minimal touch. Nice deep melodies and good produced pitchwork in the middle. Reminds me a bit of booka shade and extrawelt Very nice track!! 03 Ticon - Models on Cocaïne With this track we go more into electro regions, with funny computer vocals. The bassline is still pretty trancewise and pretty funky too. Good track 04 Ticon - Weekend Warriors Weekend Warriors is a nice example from how to crossover progressive trance and minimal techno. Subtle melodies and tight percussion. This track has the least cheesy melodies and they get intenser towars the end. Very nice buildup but maybe a bit too repetitive. Still a great track and one of the best tracks on the album. 05 Ticon - Spitfire Also a minimal like track. This track is pretty psychedelic, especially how the noises morph into nice melodies. Very good percussion too. Great Track! 06 Ticon - In The Box In the Box is a very electrolike track and together with the next track the most commercial tracks. I believe this one is with vocals from Michele Adamson, but they don't bother me. Nice buildup and some good melodies so for me this is still a good track, but this has nothing to do with progressive trance. 07 Ticon - Were Shining Like I said, this track is also pretty electro with vocals from a of the Ticon guys. The bassline is really really nice and it reminds me on some of the vitalic tracks on 'Ok Cowboy' so that is a good thing! The vocals here are not that good most of the time, but it is not as worse as duvdev.. Very nice melodies and flow in this one, the anthem melody at the end with the climax are very well executed! I could see this one on MTV but it is still a good catchy track. 08 Ticon - 2AM This track is getting back to the progressive regions. Great percussion and atmosphere in 2AM, and some nice melodies too, but some melodies are getting too emo and cheesy like in the first track, so that blows it for me. Still an average track. 09 Ticon - Less is more A blend of styles in this one, it has elements of the styles from most of the tracks here so this makes it a nice closing track. Also emotional melodies but here they don't seem to bother me because they sounds more adult and it has some nice transitions. Good track. So an album with lots of variety and hard to fit in one box. Not all the tracks are good, but apart from the first track I don't had a moment were I had too roll my eyes . I give this a 7/10 which is not much as their previous album but it is not a clone, so still a bravo to Ticon! Favorites: 2(!),3, 4(!), 5,6,7(!), 9

yeah true it isn't really full on, but still it has some of the full on elements the most and that's why i call it full on in his own style

finally some orginal full on again so far it sounds really nice!!

well I agree that the mysterious aspect is also very psy,the feeling and atmosphere it creates, Pleiadians for sure and Astral Projection sometimes.. I especially like Mahadeva, this one sure fits the special state of mind which is typical in old school goa grtz Jelle

ooh you are that kind of forum boy.. to make it more easy for your summarisation Hello, my name is Jeller and I think that songs with well excecuted modified noises, screeched, pitched and other weird sounds are more psychedelic than goatrance melodies and that old school beats work hypnotic because of their bpm and that's what makes goatrance still pretty psychedelic by the way suomisaundi is the most psychedelic trance music.. this baby got crazy melodies, weird noises, glitches, funkyness, entrancing and hypnotic structure and much more!! at the end music is maths and so is psychedelic music, so it would be possible to describe it

now this is a decent reply It is not really true I like darkpsy better.. I really enjoy old school too, but I consider it more as beautiful or entrancing then being really psychedelic. Darkpsy is more psychedelic too me.. I even consider breakcore to be more psychedelic than old school, but i prefer listening to goatrance because it is more easy-listening.. But I agree on you that you can't describe what is psychedelic. Well you can for your own and then it is still hard.. but the easiest way to test what is most psychedelic is what sounds the most mindbending or crazy on psychedelic drugs. This still doesn't mean it must sound better in your ears, because this is a matter of taste. for example a simple piano melody will sound better and feel better than some highly flanged and glitched noise, but the noise is more psy w/e this is just my vision on psychedelic music and I respect your vision too tamlin.. and to remain ontopic: I think Ticon is nice as music, but not as psytrance, although it has some psychedelic songs (Spitfire!!), but for real psytrance it is too much based on vocals. but shut up ga2pir, you're comments here are useless and "betch" is written "bitch"

before answering your question i'l tell you why I think goatrance isn't THAT psychedelic.. first of all goatrance focusses mainly on melody and not on weird noises, glitchy passages and crazy soundscapes.. the most used modifying effects are cutoff and resonance automatios on the synths and besides that also some phasers of flangers.. these are psychedelic for sure besides that the melody's are often in different layers, so this can be hard to follow which also make it psychedelic. and off course the music itself is very entrancing and hypnotic which also makes it extra psychedelic. so my conclusion is goatrance is psychedelic, BUUUUUUT: darkpsy like Furious, Quasar, Kindzadza, Psykovsky and many more is just more based on surrealistic sounds, very confusing passages, melting sounds, deep timestretches and pitched and FM noises, which makes it very hard to follow and is crazier on psychedelic drugs than (most) goatrance Breakcore is just very fucked up but intelligent blen of hardcore, jungle and many more.. this is very mendbending music which is hard to understand at a first listen and can easily overwhelm you if listened to at an acid trip.. Minimal (for example Extrawelt) also has a way deeper and more noised and crazy sound than goatrance, but here it can vary a lot.. for example Electric Voodoo Man from ubar Tmar is way more psychedelic than most Minilogue songs.. but for the minimal sound can get very deep and twisted just test it on some psychedelics baby and you might get suprised

goatrance is most of the time more cheesy then electro, way more emo and shit and goatrance isn't that psychedelic, it is psychedelic but there is way more psychedelic music out there: darkpsy, breakcore and minimal for example

I totally agree with you besides I like the album except the first track is really disgusting cheesy, but I don't call you guys names for your cheesy taste.. The other track even those with vocals their melodies are not that cheesy as those in the first track.
