1. The Infinity Project – Stimuli (Hallucinogen Remix) 2. Nissimyani Vs. The Melovskys – Fir Cough (A Raja Ram & Lucas Mix) 3. Logic Bomb – Datalinks (Remix) 4. The Inner Visions - #1 5. Astrix – Junosis 6. Sub6 – Program Flies 7. Dynamic Vs. Z-Machine – Energy 8. Xerox & Psy Craft – Adrenalin Rush (Melicia Remix) 9. Black & White – Froid 10. 1200 Mics – Mescaline (Live On Mount Fuji Remix) Indeed after listeing to this I can only confirm the general feeling: the remix of Stimuli is great, listening to real oldschool after all these years brings tears to my eyes. As for the Datalinks remix... well, to say the truth I never was into Logic Bomb , I know they sound different but I wouldn't say they sound GOOD. Anyway, it's nice to hear some variation to the typical israeli sound. I also enjoyed the 1200 Mics remix, in spite what everyone says I DON'T find the first 1200 Mics album as "just another GMS project", I find it really had a lot of variation and interesting ideas. So as a fan of the original Mescaline I liked what they did here... As for the rest... HORRIBLE!!! Israeli clones everywhere, no style, no substance, just the usual "random noises till minute 5 then bassline stops, catchy melody enters, bassline picks up again, then fade away after about 1 minute" formula which I can't stand anymore since it's used in like 99% of the psy songs made today!! So this compilation really feels like a scam: people rush and buy it mainly because of the first track and discover that there's nothing much except that... And what really pisses me off is that with this comp, TIP records totally killed off the legend which is the TIP Colour series!!! For shame!!! Imagine Rolls Royce started putting The Spirit of Extacy and the double R symbol on VW Golfs and try telling people that the car is the logical continuation in the line of Rolls Royces... Well that's kinda how it feels when you buy this comp... 2/10

1. Mantak – Horror Theme 2. Captain Ginger – Rainman 3. Sam Spacey – Slow Motion 4. Great Leap Forward – Sniff 5. Erik The Viking – Viking Navigators 6. Aphid Moon – Star People 7. Polaris – Thor 8. Front Minimale – Sphrinchles Spooks 9. Angels Vs. Aliens – Two Left Feet 10. Humito – Wider Horizons 11. Machineries Of Heaven – Dark Sky 12. Revolution Void – Obscure Terrain 13. Captain Ginger – Sundown 14. Yuji Hosoe – Evening Calm 15. That Black – Amo 16. Mantak – Easy Pieces 17. …Tee Hee After releasing very innovative artists like Ominus, Miranda and Hux Flux, Koyote records just seemed to dissapear. Most people wondered why cause most of their stuff was top quality. And then in the spring of 04 this comp comes out of the blue! First of all, contrary to what you might think after seeing the numbers of tracks, no this is NOT a double CD comp, nor is it a mixed comp. It's just that most tracks are pretty short. Koyote bring back the old tradition of having a comp that ranges from chill-out downtempo tracks to full-on stormers and I must say that I haven't seen that in quite a few years. However i find the chill-out tracks MUCH more innovative than the uptempo ones. The uptempo tracks are mostly minimalistic, Iboga style... there are some who like that, personally I don't... and I expected Koyote with it's history to make some more innovative and involving stuff But some of the chill-out tracks are a bliss!! i will comment my fave cill-out tracks on this comp: Great Leap Forward - Sniff is one of my top fave chill-out tracks. It's absolutley incredible, it reminds me old pre-95 trance and has a very "mystical" feeling to it. Humito also has a very nice track. Then comes Machineries of Heaven - Dark Skies . As you can imagine, it's more on the dark side. It has one of those incredible involving mystical oldschool-like melody... oh God it's just sooo good!!! Well, that's about it, the other chill-out tracks tend to get more on the cheezy commercial side... Conclusion first of all, big thumbs up to Koyote for making an "old-fashioned" comp with chill-out tracks AND uptempo ones!! However I'm kindof dissapointed... There are basically 2 KILLER chill-out tracks (4 and 11), one that's good but not great (10) and that's about it... The uptempo tracks are mostly on the minimal side, which is a style I don't really dig. And the chill-out tracks towards the end of the comp are VERY cheezy... So basically 10/10 for the 2 tracks I mentioned and 3/10 for the rest... I must say that I expected more from legendary label Koyote...

OK you asked for it... it's Alphaville, they're also known for their moster 80s hit "Forever Young"

1. MELICIA VS PSYDROP - Massive Trance 2. ASTRAL PROJECTION VS DYNAMIC - Mohadive 3. SKAZI FEAT. ISABELLE - Revolution 4. INFECTED MUSHROOM - Deeply Disturbed 5. SUB 6 FEAT MICHELE ADAMSON - Ra He Ya (PsySex rmx) 6. ASTRIX - Kali (GMS rmx) 7. ALIEN PROJECT VS PERPLEX - LSD 8. SPECTRUM - Sub Zero 9. VOID - The Fly Apparently Raveolution is a big psy festival in Israel and this CD contains tracks from the artists that played there. As you can see from the tracklist, this is as full-on as it can get... however the comp has it's moments and is actually one of the better comps of this year! I like Massive Trance a LOT, it's one of my top tracks of the year! The oldschoolish melody that kicks in around min 3:45 is a KILLER!!! It makes you go absolutley insane on the dancefloor... or at home! Then a new track by none other than Astral Projection !! VERY dissapointing this one, it almost sounds like a parody of older AP tracks, there are some sounds/ melodies reminiscent of old Astral but it doesn't "go" anywhere, there's no substance. I don't know, maybe if this was labeled only "Dynamic" and no reference to AP then I would've found it acceptable but once you know that the psytrance masters are involved you can't help but feel a little dissapointed... Then Skazi gives us one of their typical tracks, but they add a distorted female voice shouting something about a revolution (can't make out what cause it's too distorted) and there's a melodic and VERY catchy bassline!! All in all I must admit that I like this track very much! It's not your typical psy but it's a FUN track, brings a big smile on your face. Of course for it to make it's effect you need a system with LOUD bass. IM brings us an airy track with ome accoustic guitars in it, it sounds nice but almost commercial... although it's nice for chilling in the sun. I have pretty mixed feelings about this track, it really depends on the mood you're in, sometimes it sounds very very good and other times it sounds very very bad... Then we have a Psysex remix of Ra Heya ... to be honest i never understood the hype behind this track. Granted, it's not your average full-on but IMO it's not good either... Kali is your typical full-on (well it's made by Astrix and remixed by GMS so what would you expect?). Nothing separates this track with the other 1001 full-on clones... Then comes LSD . Rest assured, it's not some crappy full-on remix of Hallucinogen's masterpiece (thank God for that...), it's just another track with the same name. It's full-on but there's a slow airy synthline all over the track, like it's announcing something to come. I really like the effect it makes. Then indeed, around minute 3:30 the climax arrives, someone saying "at the time I had experienced most commonly available drugs including LSD for a number of times but only weekly... and a friend of mine gave me some... LSD... did not quite realize..." Very nice effect on the whole track. I like this one a lot as well, proof that there's still for innovation in full-on. Sub Zero is full-on with some nice melodies in it, it's a pretty nice track as well but not a memorable one IMO. The Fly is more on the experimental side and contains a lot of melodies and sounds that remind those 80s console games. It also has a darker feeling to it which is odd cause usually comps have darker tracks in the beginning and more "light" tracks in the end. It's an interesting but not really my cup of tea... Conclusion I must say that overall this is one of the best comps of 2004. Yes it has a lot of full-on in it but most tracks are above average and they all inspire having a good time at a party!!! 8/10 faves: 1 (!!), 3 (!!), 4, 7 (!!)

well personally I didn't really like his first album and I like this one so that should mean that they don't sound that much alike. I haven't heard his second album so I can't comment on that. But my feelings is that this is a new style, different from the first 2, but he does bring back those oldschool melodies.
-
well to each their own, Ormion... personally I find that this pales in comparison to other releases this year like Space Cat, The Misted Muppet, Synsun... (at least home-listening wise) Anyway different tastes for different people

1. Dorset Perception (Lo-Step's Mix) 2. Beija Flor This is it. This is THE one that proved to the "normal" clubbing and trance community the "superiority" of psytrance artists. A little search through google shows links to how none other than Sasha proclaimed it to be the best tune of 2003... ahem, that's probably not such a good thing... The Lo-Step re-edit is almost identical to the original except the percussions have a more "drum&bassy" groove. Then Simon P and Raja capitalized on their success with Beija Flor that's much in the same "salsa" style as Dorset Perception but with an even more commercial feeling to it. Well, a psytrance artist gets public recognition (and equivalent sales...) once in a full moon so you can't blame them for milking the cow a little. Overall I'm kindof dissapointed by this, IMO it makes people unfamiliar to Shpongle get a big big misconception on their music. The average listener buying this EP because some trance music vendor told him it was "hip" will walk away thinking that Shpongle is some sort of trendy artists fusing salsa with electronica like that Samba Di Janeiro track which hit the charts in 2000. But Shpongle is so much more... i don't know, maybe people will buy afterwards their albums and see what "real" Shpongle is all about. I sure hope Simon and Raja won't make a habit out of releasing commercial stuff now that they hit it big...

Electronic Body Music, also known as industrial. It's practically the music style that was played in Goa in the late 80s and which inspired the first trance artists to making psytrance.

1. Vampiria 2. Zygote 3. Ride the sky 4. Logic mami 5. Ceremony 6. Ave samael 7. Death machine (bonus track) 8. Tataria General consensus among psytrancers is that this album, together with Space Cat's and Blue Vortex's albums form the "wholy trinity" must have melodic albums of 2004. Personally I found this one MUCH more different from Blue Vortex and Space Cat and more in the lines of The Misted Muppet album. Yes it seems that adding black-metal-like "epic" parts in trance is THE new trend and it's here to stay. I predict more and more artists will start copy-pasting this style and in a few years this will replace full-on just like full-on replaced the minimal trend about 2 years ago... ah well at least for the time being this sounds original and fresh until the others jump the bandwagon I must also say that I'm happy to see that these guys have released a "professional" album, they have been around releasing amateur psy mp3s for quite a few years now. So to all those teens and young adults (even older adults? ) playing around with their synths in their bedroom, this is proof that you can live your dream and become a real psy artist touring around the globe and playing your favorite music!! Oh and also, even if these artists are russian, it has NOTHING to do with the "usual" russian trance we get from the likes of Parasense, Kindzadza and such... So on to how this sounds, well the general feeling of the album is dark in the beginning and gradually turns to morning stuff at the end. Of course, it has a lot of symphonic parts in it. I spoke about this album reminded me the Misted Muppet one although contrary to From the Legend , here the symphonical parts are developed throughout the track, they don't just come in the breaks. I also think a lot will also find similarities with IM's work (especially Classical Mushroom ). Personally I didn't find the first 3 tracks Vampiria , Zygote and Ride the sky to be that good. I find they overdo it with the symphonical parts... Then on to happier realms with Logic Miami ... ahh that's better, if you ask me, these guys do morning trance a LOT better than they do dark stuff. Although this particular one sounds a little too fluffy to me, almost commercial. With Ceremony they get it just right IMO: it's happy, has a little oldschool influence and even the epic symphonical part. Not your conventional trance but I like it a lot!!! Ave Samael (wonder what does it mean?) adds the "russian bassline": that continuous drone that sounds like you're behind some huge Kamaz truck... It starts happy but then turns a little dark and again the symphonic parts. I like this one a lot as well. ah and now for a little... OLDSCHOOOOOOOL!!!!! Death Machine is a pure bliss for anyone who's nostalgic of the 96 era... ahhhhh It's included as a bonus track and you can obviously see that it doesn't follow the rest of the "flow" of the album, but personally I would've prefered a whole album with tracks like this one!! Maybe a double-CD next album with one CD "original" stuff and one with "oldschool"? I'd definatley like that and of course, the last track Tataria is a downtempo one. It's nice but personally I would've done without the russian singing on top... it would've been a perfect oldschoolish chill-out track but the vocals ruin it IMO. Conclusion Nice original album for the melodic fans out there reminiscent of The Misted Muppet and IM's Classical Mushroom . There are a LOT of symphonic "epic" parts although IMO using that in EACH track tends to overdo it. But big thumbs up to artists who dare step up and do something original!! 8/10 fave tracks: 5, 6, 7 (!!)

well to each their own I guess... I confess that I have never listened to Orion's stuff so I can't comment on that. As for the production, it's that "sharpness" that I like to me it sounds "sharp" WITHOUT causing ear fatigue, but maybe this is due to the sound-setup? I only have a pair of crappy Sony MDR-CD280 phones (not really studio monitor quality...), but will get a Beyer DT990 sometime next week, I'll run it again through that and tell you my opinion

1. The stomper 2. Virus 3. Off beat 4. Inside the sphere 5. Extreme circumstances 6. The race (pole position rmx) 7. OB 1 8. Salam 9. That is final Once upon a time there was a period when you could ONLY hear stuff called "minimal"... very monotonous progressions, basically a beat and a highhat for 6 minutes and eventually an interesting sound in the background. A lot of people were dissapointed by this new "evolution" of psytrance so when a certain Christophe (half of former Transwave) came with a new record label 3D vision releasing VERY agressive stuff with sounds exploding in your face continuously throughout the entire track, everyone said it was pure genious. Then Christophe himself released an album under the name "Absolum" (Wild on TIP Records in 2001) but by then people kindof got tired of the "3D Vision sound" so it had limited appeal. That was back then... but in the last years the psytrance scene mutated considerably. The "big bass with sounds thrown in your face" has become rather standard and is called "full-on". Although IMO the 3D style is more "brutal" and has a more dynamic progression than your usual full-on, it does sound much like it. And now Absolum gives us his second album in the style... needless to say it will make even less ripples through the scene than the first one. BUT it does have its value on the dancefloor!! Those crazy noises will make anyone go insane at a party. Especially Virus , The Race and OB 1 which are real dancefloor stormers IMO. My problem is that this album has been made ONLY for the dancefloor. Other than the harsh sounds (sometimes I even felt compelled to reduce the highs and high-mids on my EQ cause it was causing too much fatigue on my ears... but that can be a matter of the sound setup you have), there are almost NO melodies. Only ONE track has a few melodies, Inside the Sphere and that sounds like your typical 12-year-old-appealing israeli full-on melody, nothing special. Needless to say that this is LIGHT years behind Christophe's older work as Transwave... what a pitty... One last comment on the last track That is Final which is downtempo but is horrible!! It really sounds as if Christophe played a usual 3D track with the pitch at -20%... definatley NOT chill-out... Conclusion an album for the dancefloor and ONLY for the dancefloor. No melodies, only harsh sounds thrown into your face from the first minute to the last. Just the right thing to set the floor on fire but don't even think of appreciating this at home... On a positive side, it's much more dynamic than usual full-on stuff hence it's "dancefloor stormer" value. 9/10 if you're a DJ, 3/10 if you're not...

so what do you think of it after all these years?

1. Mirage 2. Arda 3. Twister 4. Sismic amplifier 5. Primal objective 6. Frozen waters 7. Trancelucid horizon 8. Nimlies snowparty 9. Tree of life Definatley one of the most underestimated albums of 2004. This has a lot of nice melodies in it, if you don't listen to it, you're actually missing something. I've heard some people claim it sounded much like older albums by Yahel. Well, it kinda does and doesn't. You see, psy artists are in a very hard position: if they put in some melodies then people praise them and say that they've "added the oldschool touch". However if they put in too MUCH melodies then people criticize them for being too cheezy... Well Blue Vortex is kinof in between. Sometimes I thin "man this is REALLY good, great melodie!!", other times I'd think "he's overdone it, too many cheezy melodies". So I guess it's up to you to find out if this is of your liking or not. Anyway, if you like melodies in your tracks then this one's for you. Kindof reminds me the Space Cat album and also S-Range stuff. fave tracks: 1, 5 (!!), 6 (!!), 8 Conclusion VERY underestimated album! Very nice melodies reminding oldschool, but sometimes it can get a little too cheezy... Still, if you liked the new Space Cat and the S-Range style, you'll like this one too. Guess only time will tell if this will remain a memorable 04 album or not. 8/10

well I just finishied reviewing about all the old trance albums I could find... hope to get my hands on some more soon... anyway, search for old Nova Zembla and Psy-Harmonics stuff, they seem to be VERY good! and indeed, IMO one should be able to dload this kind of stuff freely hance my proposition to koolaid... it's been out of print for many many years so I really don't see what harm it could do to get it on your HD. It could only revive interest in such "forgotten geniuses" (maybe even spark a comeback movement?)

[edit] : there I merged the 2 reviews in one topic.
-
oops, sorry, I realize that Cat on Mushroom - 2004 is another project by Space Cat and IM, NOT a 2004 remix of their previous work. sorry....
-
yeah I'm really trying hard to hunt down other albums by this genuis. IMO he should be way up there with Avi and Lior, Simon P, Juno, ... !!!

1. Enjoy 2004 2. Pothead 3. Synthetic Hoover 4. Crunchy smokers 5. Twinfreaks 6. Stoned rmx 7. Maximum velocity 8. Down in Negev 9. Innersphere Crunchy Punch is a collaboration between Alien Project (one of THE artists who started the whole full-on wave) and Orion. Well, there's one positive thing i can say about the album: the production is very good. But that's about it. Now I'm sorry if I sound a little harsh on this one, but not one single track stands out for me. This is pure dancefloor DJ disposable material. It will work good for the fist month on the dancefloor, then it'll stay in some DJ's case until he decides to seel it on eBay for 2 euros... personally I don't even consider it's worth that! Down in Negev is a little better than the others, especially because of a mysterious synth line that comes throughout the track. However I wouldn't consider that track as memorable either... Innershpere is the mandatory down-tempo closing tracks with vocoders! However it could sound good, depending on the context it's listened in. Conclusion disposable full-on dancefloor material... only 2 above-average tracks and not even those are worth buying the CD IMO. 3/10 Lemmiwinks (aka moondancer from older psynews reviews)

BTW I have been having as a plan with koolaid to make available for free download (or small fee that would go directly to the artist) such rare and brilliant albums. I hope one day the plan will become reality The biggest problem is tracking down the artists after all these years and asking them personally...

search a lot on eBay and one day you will stumble on it

1 Kayenta (6:20) 2 We Came In Peace (Desert Mix) (5:05) 3 Freaks (6:22) 4 Sit Together (5:10) 5 Hello San Francisco (Golden Gate Mix) (6:44) 6 Mr. Cannabis (9:19) 7 P.ower Of A.merican N.atives (5:56) 8 Atlantis (5:10) 9 Remember Exxon Valdez (7:46) 10 Where Is Dag? (6:11) Dance 2 Trance (Jam El Mar from Jam& Spoon and DJ Dag) have a very interesting story: they were one of THE very first artists to make electronic trance music in tha late 80s/ early 90s, and definaltley one of the most influential artists on what was later to become "goatrance". I've heard discussions trying to trace THE first trance track that started it all and some say that it was Dance 2 Trance's We Came in Peace. As a side note it was Jam& Spoon's remix of The Age of Love that was a big hit in the early 90s as well so these guys definatley had a golden touch back then. However you probably know Dance 2 Trance from their commercial sucess Power of American Natives. Yes, this was outplayed on MTV back in the days but keep in mind that the original version was longer and didn't have vocals. So on to the review. Kayenta is an ambient track. Very mystical amosphere, reminds me a bit of TIP's Mystical Experiences. Alas instead of the original verion of We Came in Peace which had a nice catchy melody here we have a remix. Probably that by the time this album was released, We Came in Peace was already outplayed... It is a nice airy track, much in the vein of The Age of Love but since I heard the original version, I'm kindof dissapointed by this one, they completely took away the catchy melody!! Now comes my surpsire: listen to that intro melody in Freaks . Now I don't know if it's just me but it sounds strikingly similar to BotFB's Hippie Crack Pannick . It's almost like the Hippie Crack Panick is a remix of this... very strange. So this track has a pretty freaky spooky feeling to it, definatley the earliest dark trance track I've listened to! Sit Together is more on the lighter side of things, mostly chill-out but sounds a bit cheezy. Again, sadly instead of the original Hello San Francisco we have a remix here that is 100 times worse than the original, especially since the original is one of my top trance track ever! As with We Came in Peace, this was probably already outplayed by the time the album was out hence the remix. The wonderfull melancholic melody was replaced by an dance acid-housy track... it's a real shame they didn't keep the original version Mr Cannabis is probably the first psychedellic dub track ever. Yes, that's WAY before Dub Trees and Hallucinogen's In Dub ... It's a nice track with a reggae sample (I can't make out what it says because of the heave Jamaican accent) and then goes on with a very nice synth line. It still has its value in a chill-out set ourdays! You probably already know Power of American Natives as it has been repeated ad nauseam by commercial music TV and radio stations everywhere. i was lucky enough to get the early pressings with the instrumental version of the track, however infos show that in later pressings (once the track hit commercial success) it was replaced by the vocal version. I can only hope you find an early pressing of the CD... However if we sit back and listen to the track, the production values and progression definatley was revolutionary for the time. I'd compare this to AP's Mahadeva : a brilliant track for it's time but WAY outplayed. Then again, if you're new to the scene, then maybe you don't already know this track? I envy you... Atlantis is a very nice chill-out track, very dreamy. Remember Exxon Valdez really reflects the hippy nature of the time. in case you don't remember/ are too young, Exxon Valdez was an oil tanker that sunk spilling tons of oil in the sea and killing a lot of marine wildlife. As you'd probably expect, the general feeling of the track is sad, it has samples of dolphins, but contrary to other dolphin samples in trance tracks these actually sound like the dolphins are suffering! Then later in the track there's a guitar sample (first ever trance track with a guitar sample?) that sounds very melancholic. Like with Aquila's Aqua Divae track, I consider the artists to be geniuses to send such powerfull messages through music only, there isn't a SINGLE lyric in the track, yet you can FEEL everything the artist was trying to tell you. It's a briliant track albeit a bit depressive because of the sad feeling. It also makes me sad because i realize that back then artists actually HAD a message to deliver other than "let's all get high and have a party". In the beginning, trance was MUCH more than just another music genre, it was a way of life, a philosophy... none of that anymore. Now it's just a hip underground form of electronica... On to happier realms with Where is Dag? , it's a very repetitive trance-inducing track with a chicken sample! It's funny and myserious at the same time, I like this one very much as well. Conclusion like the Aquila album I consider this to be one of THE absolute best early trance albums!! Production-wise it's dated but the creativity in there beats the hell out of stuff released these days! 10/10 Lemmiwinks (aka moondancer from older psynews reviews)

hehe it's just that I've had a lot of CDs piling up (especially the old ones) that I've been intending to review for a long time

1 A.M. 2 Roof Of The World 3 Positive 4 My Secret Garden 5 Phyquen 6 The Awakening 7 Sunshower 8 Turquoise 9 Aqua Divae This is DIVINE!!! This together with the Dance 2 Trance album are THE best early trance CDs I have! Aquila is apparently a certain Matthew Thomas, and a little search on discogs.com shows that he still was releasing stuff at the end of the 90s! I can't wait to get my hands on those albums, I wonder how his sound evloved. AM is an extremely dreamy downtempo track. It's so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. I must've listened a million times to it and I'm still not tired of it!!! It reminds me of RA Wilson's saying that Beethoven somehow transcribed impressions felt with the 5th brain circuit into feelings perceptible by normal human beings with the 3rd brain circuit. (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, read Cosmic Trigger 1 ) If such a thing were true, than this track does exactly that IMO. Roof of the world is a repetitive track with a sample of a digeridoo, very hypnotic, very... trance inducing! Positive has all the ingredients of old acid techno (stuff like Armando): that tinny 303 line (not the kind you're used to in stuff after 96) and the overall moody feeling of the track (definaltey NOT positive as the name would suggest...). It's basically a more complex form of acid techno with atmospheres added to it My Secret Garden is another one of my favorites. The slow trance-inducing progression is simply incredible. Again, this is one I've listened to many many times and I'm still not bored with it!! I find Phyouen less enjoyable, The Awakening is a nice ambient track. Sunshower is the track with highest BPMs... one of the first morning trance tracks? It has 303s and a nice myserious atmosphere to it, but I found it less good than the other stuff here. Turquiose again has a very nice mystical melody, I like this one a lot as well The title track Aqua Divae is beatless ambient, it has 303s and a lot of nature samples in it (bird singing, dolphins...). Although it isn't really for relaxing, the whole track has a menacing feeling, sortof like a message saying that soon these wildlife animals will be extinct due to mankind's greed and stupidity. Gotta be a genious to send such a message without a single word in your track Conclusion 10/10!! This is GREAT for homelistening! Of course the production sounds dated (especially those very tinny 303 lines) but it is VERY good!! I wonder how geniuses like these just faded away and have been replaced by mediocre talents who copy-paste music that's already around. Keep in mind that not only is this good by today's standards, but that back in those days there basically wasn't anything to inspire the artist!! This is PURE genious and creativity. If you can still find a copy on eBay buy it now, you won't regret it!!! Lemmiwinks (aka moondancer on older psynews reviews)

well personally I didn't find it much worse than the other tracks. And then around min. 5:00 you have an oldschool-like synth line which is pretty good IMO. The overall feeling of the album is happy and even childish-like happy, but it's not bad IMO.
