  1. well I think it depends a lot on the dosage and what time of day you take it. Yesterday I took it early in the morning and it didn't interfere with my sleeping habits at all. Also, the headaches usually mean that you're not taking enough choline, I've upped the choline dose and now the headaches are gone. So I guess it's a pretty hit-and-miss trial until you find the right way of taking it
  2. yep, to have a noticeable improvement you need to use them every day (maybe take a week off every now and then). They say that you don't really feel the effect kicking in until after 2-3 weeks of daily use so I'm still in the beginner phase. As for the effects umm well, I can feel it's tinkering with my brain, sometimes it actually feels a bit unnatural. For the time being, I notice being more aware about details and improved dream recall when I wake up. On the negative side I have a slight headache in the evenings and I have trouble going to sleep (these are very normal reactions to the substance I'm told). I think this is also because at the beginning I'm taking 3x the "normal" dose (it's recommended that you start with a higher "attack dose" and then go lower). So umm, all in all, it DOES do something to my brain, although I'm miles away from the ultra-intelligence enhancing feeling that is presented in the movie. But many sources say that it's premature to judge before 2-3 weeks, so I'm keeping to it Next on my list will definitely be aniracetam
  3. umm, yes and no... of course, there are DOZENS of substances that are supposed to improve cognition in one way or another, however only a handfull have actually been clinically proven to work, like racetams. Most of the OTC stuff that is advertised as "smart drugs" contain dubious substances with more fillers than anything else, so one must read a bit on a substance before buying it IMO. ha, funny you say that considering that most of those substances are MADE in India in the first place! With all the "indian ketamine" for sale in Europe I always supposed that it was a place where just about anyone could get any substance if you knew the right people
  4. well I guess it depends a lot on which part of the World you're living in... in the US they are completely unregulated substances, so basically you can just buy 10 kg and no one will ask you anything, here in Europe you need a prescription though and, like you said, getting a doctor to actually prescribe the stuff you want is HARD! But do an online search for "piracetam bulk" and you'll find lots of OTC sources PS mind you, nootropics and Ritalin are 2 completely different substances (Ritalin is an amphetamine actually, so it is much closer chemically speaking to an actual drug...)
  5. I'm kindof late in discovering this and pretty amazed not more people talk about it. Basically nootropics are "thought enhancers", they make you feel more sharp intellectually and agile, you're also more attentive to details (visual and sound... which makes music sound much better) and enhance memory. The movie Limitless put nootropics in the Hollywood limelight, of course things in the movie were exaggerated but the basics are pretty real. And the icing on the cake... they are actually GOOD for your health! In theory you could take them every day until the end of your life and it won't do any harm, on the contrary apparently they have a rejuvenating effect on brain cells. Albert Hoffman, inventor of LSD also invented an ergot-based nootropic called hydergine and he took it every day of his life until he finally died at a respectable 102 (he stopped doing lsd a long time ago) , I find it really odd that most people into the psy world are completely unaware of this... So anyway, I've ordered some piracetam (the most basic and cheapest of nootropics and a good place to start), I just took 3600 mg in combination with some lechitin (you need to take a source of choline at the same time not to get headaches) and I already felt the effects in less than an hour. Actually I started off the day with a headache from a drinking binge last night and believe it or not about 30 minutes after taking the piracetam, all the hangover effects were gone! And everything felt a lot more sharper, I was more aware of details around me and felt an urge to interact with people (which is also why I'm writing all this ). So basically it feels like a very low dose of E... So has anyone else tried this? What are your finds?
  6. well, there's nothing to understand, it's just twisted humour
  7. and yeah Padmapani, those cartoons crack me up too
  8. ah another one in French, sorry but I can't resist the urge to post It says: - Dad, what do you think about abortion? - Ask your sister. - But I don't have a sis...
  9. Just went to see this and it's fucking A material! Ok, some bits are a bit WTF?, well it's the same director who made Moulin Rouge so you have this mix between old elements and modern stuff, like a party trown in the 1920 with Jay-Z playing... But the story is really nice, on of the very rare movies that is worth actually paying to see it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rARN6agiW7o
  10. haha this is in french but I found it so funny I had to repost it says: - Hi Billy, I have just travelled in time. I am "you" from the future. - Wow -And what will I become in the future? - A pedophile...
  11. yep pretty much so, the same way that people who aren't into psytrance don't see much of a difference between full-on and dark psy when for a purist it makes a world of a difference
  12. haha yes indeed but I was wondering if it had a specific "official" name
  13. So I don't know if you've noticed but lately (at least in these parts of the World) dancefloors have been invaded by a new type of sound, it sounds kindof like electro house but with a very heavy slightly distorted kick resembling hardcore. Well, I have to admit that at least it's much more engaging than most commercial stuff out there... Only problem, I don't have a clue on how it's called? Anyone knows? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deqNM6FO9rk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ue26GpV9Do
  14. So the man finally got tired of promoting violence and hatred, converted to rastafari and started to promote peace and love... I have to admit I didn't see that one coming... But I wonder if he's really THAT interested in the Rastafari movement or did he just want to find a new way to make money since the rap scene is becoming more and more out of fashion? Believe it or not, he actually made a collaboration with Hanna Montana (DAFUQ???) Anyway, I gave the album a listen and I have to admit that there are some pretty good tracks in there (well, Major Lazer produced it so I guess that explains it). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSfBK0Z1w-k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqo9gPxT6A8 so what do you guys think?
  15. aaaah now I finally know In case you were also wondering where the hell did all these posters come from all of a sudden, here is the story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrHkKXFRbCI
  16. haha CLOWNCORE and I thought I knew all the sub-genres out there Well I have like 0 information on Tinkers so it might very well be one of Ed's projects, in any case the least we can say was that they were inspired by Ed
  17. hey guys, just went to festival, walking around different areas and in the breakcore scene I see these dudes dressed like wizards with accordeons singing to breakcore music, it must be the wierdest act I've ever seen at a festival, needless to say that if you're on certain substances it's even wierder. I've found a bit of live footage on the net, although it's really the kind of thing that you have to see live for yourself to "get" it Anyone know anything about these guys?
  18. hi guys Well, currently digging some Pryda tracks, maaan this guy really knows to make some hypnotic stuff IMO anyone else like his style?
  19. this topic might have already been discussed elsewhere... but yeah like other people said, it's very superficial, you get the usual "drugs are bad mmkay?" message and there is absolutely no focus on the spiritual dimension, which is what makes the psy scene so unique IMO. The movie could've just as easily revolved around the rock or rap scene IMO
