well actually now that i heard the whole track I'm kinda dissapointed :-( Nothing much happens except for the climax and I already knew that by hart from playing the Kode IV video over and over again... SMI²LE

oh and I know the "formula" has been going on for a while now, but now it's really sickening to see EVERY damn new release contain it!! SMI²LE

Funny twist of fate: UNusual suspects contains fresh tracks with new ideas and Usual suspects contains the usual GMS formula, most of the time by GMS + friends... hehehe didn't think of it that way, I guess we were warned fair and square moongoose: artists are: GMS, Astrix, The Antidote, Talamasca, Oforia and Sub6 SMI²LE

So I just get the compil Usual Suspect VoL2. I liked the 1st one, found it was pretty refreshing so I thought that logically this should sound refreshing too. (BTW doesn't it stike everyone as a least a bit odd that the 1st volume contained various colaborations of Simon P and that the 2nd doesn't a a single track with Simon P involved?) Anyway, what really pissed me off is that ALL the songs follow the same formula: 1. tracks last a bit more than 7 minutes (mostly 7:30) 2. from 0:00 to around 5:00 nothing much happens, just a big rolling bassline with some random "wooshes" here and there 3. around 5:00 to 5:30 : everything slows down, bassline stops 4. 5:30 to 6:30 : loud roling bassline starts again, a lot of sounds are thrown into your face, sometimes even a little melody 5. after 6:30: things slow down again, end of track. Now this SUCKS when it's used REPEATEDLY in EVERY FUCKING SONG!!!!!! SMI²LE

So a few years ago, the bias towards "Shpongle this and Shpongle that" was slowly shifting to "Makyo this and Makyo that". But all the hype just seemed to stop one day and i never heard of the guy again. So what happened to him? And most of all, what happened to all his fans?? SMI²LE

Hey just relistened to that Emou album and I must admit it would fit very nicely with a catwalk show!! But I guess that by now the catwalk is already over... and yeah, if you ask me, Shpongle is *way* overrated. It's not even that good compared with all the positive comments. SMI²LE

well basically all the oldschool artists who release new stuff are crap. Once famous artists like Etnica, AP, Shakta, MWNN, Cosmosis, even Graham Woods (of TIP fame) returned to the scene as Blowfish but the album was crap as well... Most artists who are "in" these day copy the full-on style that was carachteristic at you time for GMS and 3D Vision stuff... they're ALL doing it now... On the positive side, Boris Blenn (EU) came back and released a new album as Jupiter 8000 which totally kicks ass!! He also released a new EU album but I haven't heard it yet... SMI²LE

Sice there are a lot of people talking about Voodoo People (Eskimo Remix) and Voodoo People (Paranormal Attack Remix) I was wondering what's the difference between the 2??? Or is Paranormal attack another pseudo for Eskimo? And I also heard Skazi remixed it...? SMI²LE

Please help me with this one, I've been trying to ID this track for more than a year now!! There's a small video of Kode IV at Boom festival 2002 going around the net. If you haven't seen it yet, I put it up here (on the page click "Kode IV?", it's in RealPlayer format). So can anyone please ID the track playing in the background? I got nearly all Kode IV's releases since then but nothing sounds even remotely like it. BTW did he do a live performance or a DJ set at Boom 2002? Thanks to anyone who gives it a shot SMI²LE

Making a psy remix of a well-known track is just a commercial gimmick to get people who weren't in the psy scene a few years ago like your stuff. I mean I once even heard a psy remix of the theme from the A-team for crying out loud!! What's next? A psy remix of the theme from Beverly Hills 90210? The only thing that works for me is playing some part of a well-known horror movie soundtrack in a dark psy track (not a remix, just have a part of the track remind you of the movie... that can really fuck you up on an acid trip SMI²LE
