  1. more particularly, I find it easier to use this: than calculate BPMs SMI²LE
  2. "Yeah, but there are other things that affect the price as well. Like the fact that ordering from a well known store is a bit safer than from a random guy on the internet." ROFL!! And yes, those aussie 2nd hand shop must really offer you a good deal Mike, it's not the case here in Europe where you're offered like a few mesely bucks and then they sell it for double or triple. SMI²LE
  3. EA: my head hurts... it's easier to compute a formula on determining the price of a stock option than to do all those calculations on BPMs!!! They should do a master's program for music making SMI²LE
  4. I second the 604.ch proposition SMI²LE
  5. ah now that makes perfect sense. Thanks adam!!! SMI²LE
  6. well, I still don't get it, but thanks to everyone who tried explaining ;-) SMI²LE
  7. well, I know that AP still consider their best track to be Let There Be Light (actually they re-released the original version on EP in 03, no remix no nothing so maybe that tells something about how they find their "old" sound?) I also know that Dado still considers his best work to be Transwave's Cycles of Life (but then again you'd wonder why would he'd ruin it with a crappy remix?) other than that usually artists in interviews are like "that's over man, we put that shit behind and started doing better stuff". SMI²LE
  8. so then what would account for a "beat" if it isn't the kickdrum??? Don't tell me that highhats count as beats?? SMI²LE
  9. now I'm REALLY confused... what makes the BPMs in a track then if it's not the kickdrums??? SMI²LE
  10. heh minimal... stop living in the past dudes SMI²LE
  11. "Of course once you get above 400 BPMs the beat starts to sound more like a continuous drone." actually I get that impression once the beat is above 160 BPMs, that's why I consider that more just isn't possible. SMI²LE
  12. I don't get it how they measure such high BPMs... IMO the fasted one can get is 150- 160, the rest is just a myth. It's impossible to get higher without it sounding like a bunch of Smurfs did it SMI²LE
  13. oh yeah and while we're at it, I also loved Distortion Orchestra and Acid Rockers... what happened to them?? "The Muses Rapt - Juan Verdera.. does anyone know what happened to him?" actually that one's still alive and kicking He played a nice set at a party in Belgium last year with lots of new tracks, we expect a new album from him, but as you should know, psy releases are usually looong overdue so don't hold your breath... but it will come someday SMI²LE
  14. say whatever you want but tie-dying is cool and you know it SMI²LE
  15. I absolutely loved the Gargoyles project, but they're pretty new, I guess it's reasonable to hope they'll do something new in the future also Neptune were pretty big a while ago, people were talking about a whole album by them but I never heard anything new since then (around 2000) 3 oldschool artists I'd like to hear more about: Psygone Dimension 5 Ra SMI²LE
  16. well to come back to the T-Shirt thing... I actually find it needs MORE colours, I like looking like a tropical bird of some sort Maybe try tie-dying the whole t-shirt instead of just printing a motive on the chest? SMI²LE
  17. "very melodic and positive, old skool sound" LOL yeah it almost sounded like Trust in Trance 4 SMI²LE
  18. that was supposed to be "warned" of course... SMI²LE
  19. advice: NEVER post ideas for domain names on a public place without registering them first!!! There are a lot of people who regularly scan public forums to see what people are interested in and then register the domain name before they do and of course off to re-sell it to them for a certain fee... don't say I haven't worn you SMI²LE
  20. well judging by the past releases, Boris Blenn (and Oli Wisdom for that matter) sometimes skip a year but never 2 when releasing albums so this year we MUST get a new EU and Space Tribe album... SMI²LE
  21. the thing is that I haven't listened to Bamboo Forest yet... but I definately wouldn't buy Psysex if I were you... SMI²LE
  22. personally I didn't like the new Psysex, there wasn't enough originality in there to differentiate it from the other israeli clones IMHO SMI²LE
  23. well here is what I make of it (the parts I added are in capital letters) Yeah, sort of reminds me of a time in Montana. It was 31st of December 1994 when I saw the Mexican Jesus floating down the river. Yellowstone National Park. I think it was like minus twenty degrees in the snow and he was floating down butt naked. I don't think he was Native American, he seemed too Mexican looking you know. He had long black hair and he was butt naked in the middle of the Yellowstone River. Minus twenty. AND we'd put our head under the water and come up and WE TURNED OUR eyes and he didn't have a SPEK OF ice on his hand, nothing. He was completely immune to the cold. And eh, which reminds me about the ayahuasca experience you know MEETING THE Mother Serpent. I DON’T THINK ANYBODY REALLY COULD ERR…, HOW TO describe it? It was totally mind numbing. Just taking it, and waiting and that first time you take it, the suddenly you feel like you've got these vines running through your body. They were TUFFETS(?)ripping through your body. And that bright light burning you up from the inside. Next thing you know, you've got a Mother Serpent inside you. And the next minute you're down there, with the DNA watching the dino. Genetic material getting changed before your eyes. Man, people think they know about drugs, but... That ain't a drug, it's a sacrament. It's just a portal to another world. It's realities that are always there. A key to other dimensions THAT WE LIVE WITH all the time. Thankfully our AWARENESS never touches THEM. How would I describe it? Terrifying. Enlightening. But utterly terrifying. You swear you'll never go back. Ever. And the next thing you know, you're taking it again. You're going down that tunnel. People say you have a choice. I don't think there's any choice. Ayahuasca just takes you. No choice. YOU surrender OR YOU RESIST. RESIST OR INHALE (?). You surrender YOU MUST STILL BE FREE. I don't know if I could do that again. AND THE MOTHER GODESS CALLS ME, THE cosmic circuit CODES. I have to answer THEM. And I have to go back TO THE [...] I have no choice. I have no choice. It's not a drug, it's... It's not a drug. It's just the holy sacrament. SMI²LE
  24. maybe there's another Sub 6 out there? SMI²LE
  25. "'B.P. Empire' is their best sounding and deepest work so far!" "B.P. Empire is indeed a masterpiece ... " funny cause I remember a lot of people complaining that this was kiddie music and that IM really went downhill with that one... SMI²LE
