  1. well, last good album you listen to is always best IMO :-) So I'd go for Parasence - Past, Present, Future SMI²LE
  2. so any old tracks out there that you still find amazing yet you're surprised to see noone mentions them anymore? I have a few :-) Deviant Electronics - Viral Spiral Distortion Orchestra - Nuclear Tide Deviant Species - Carrier Ra - ROM Luminus - Total Consciousness Doof - Double Dragons Battle of the Future Buddhas - Lord of the Dance Pigs in Space - Visitors Part 1 Talamasca - The Hunted Becomes the Hunter so what about you? SMI²LE
  3. err... don't know if that was intended for me or not, in case it was: I wasn't being sarcastic dude, I really ment what I said!! SMI²LE
  4. psytrance in 20 years in my opinion: - The frontier between eurotrance and full-on psy (especially israeli) will become VERY fuzzy, maybe even non-existent. - The frontier between minimal and house music or techno (depending on how "hard" it is) will become fuzzy to non-existant as well. In other words, basically all psy tracks will fit in flawlessly in mixes by "normal" DJs in clubs, except for Parasense who will be making speedcore ;-) SMI²LE
  5. "As a general rule, I find anything that I really like on first listen ends up being crap. Every album that became a classic for me, I initially had either a lukewarm response, or I hated it. But then they slowly grew on me." yep, same thing here!!! Wierd once you think of it... SMI²LE
  6. "It's very difficult to see why you would make such a claim. Are you perhaps organising these muppet-fests? Which islands are you mostly referring to, now?" if this doesn't denote an obvious sense of superiority on the matter, then my mouth is shut... I can also search this forum's history and paste past quotes of similar stuff you said on yoga practice, but it would be a waste of time... ah fuck I have better things to do than argue with a finn on a public forum... SMI²LE
  7. ah Insejn beat me to it :-( great track indeed!! SMI²LE
  8. "I'm afraid you just made that up" yeah sure I made it up. I seem to have some recollection of you coming and flaming everybody saying that there is a connection between yoga and psychedellic drugs as if you knew better than everyone else, kinda like the way you come here and flame everyone and try to pass youself as an expert in Full moon parties in Thailand... SMI²LE
  9. So this morning I take out my fave CD of the moment, Scatterbrain - Infernal Angel and halfway through I realised that my heart wasn't pumping as fast when I heard those acid riffs, my smile dissapeared, I was more concentrated on the housework I was doing than on the tracks... yes, I got tired of another brilliant psy album again... damn this just sucks!!! What is it about something new that hits us and then just becomes boring after a lot of listens? SMI²LE
  10. agree 100% with Alek!!! SMI²LE
  11. I was talking about of yoga jar, or have you forgotten all your posts on the subject? SMI²LE
  12. well I for one wouldn't mind living in Ibiza... if only for the good weather and the loads of chicks every summer... You seem to have a cool life e_duende, live the dream!!! If I can ask you a little personal question... how did you manage to settle there? SMI²LE
  13. "insane Hux Flux maximalism " errr, actually I didn't find that about Cryptic Cruch either... SMI²LE
  14. aaaah, but keep in mind that psy releases are usually long overdue... A few days ago I saw what is to my mind, the first psy album released by a Belgian act, Concentrix. Well, I remember that I heard him live in the summer of 2000 and that everybody was saying that he'll release a new album in the following months... and it was barely released in 03!! And what about Hallucinogen III? I remember people raving about that one since late 1999!!! SMI²LE
  15. Well, I suggest you return to meditating and finding your inner-calm... after all, you're simplistic offensive remarks show everyone that you're a confirmed expert in the matter :-) SMI²LE
  16. www.trance.net is pretty good too SMI²LE
  17. OK OK I admit it, I might be a *little* bit too negativistic at times ;-) I promise I'll choose my words more carefully next time :-) But honestly, how are you supposed to describe music by an artist you loved that's releasing unlistenable stuff today? "Oh, this is by one of my fave artists, so I love and respect the artist for his past efforts. However, this paricular release is so bad that I can't even listen to it. But thumbs up for trying to do something different." and no, I don't see how jumping on a bandwagon should be viewed as "innovative"... For example, I don't care what anyone says about AP, they HAVE changed since their stuff made in 96 and today it sounds very eurotrance-oriented. Now don't tell me that they wanted to "revolutionize" their style. They merely saw that there was more profit to be made from commercial trance than from goa, so they changed. And yes, I consider that flaming them for such an act is pretty justified in spite of all the great things that they gave us in the past!! SMI²LE
  18. that doesn't really answer her question now, does it? SMI²LE
  19. "then i started to make music, which i really advice u to do.. U will realize that it is very hard, and maybe then u will have some respect for the artists..." ah but I HAVE tried to make music, and indeed I admit that it's EXTREMELY hard... I figure that mastering the technical aspects alone would take up a good few years of my lifetime and that I'd probably not be able to truly express what I have in mind through musical intruments untill I'd be like in my 30s (I'm in my early 20s now). And in that aspect I do have enormous amounts of respect for artists... not only big artists, but also for all those who make tracks at home and never release them and just about for anyone who decides giving up a 9-5 job to dedicate his/ her life to music making!! That said, as a listener, I still have a right to complain about the result, don't I? SMI²LE
  20. "buy only the tracks that you like" that's a good idea Beru!! I like your aproach!! SMI²LE
  21. "i always wonder why yogic personalities and all the big established religions is against the use of drugs " well actually I recall reading some extracts from a famous yogi saying that he saw drug usage (mushrooms in particular) as one way to "get there". He also said that once you know what to look for and how to get there, a simple thing as taking a bath can help you even more :-) and let's not forget about that great "universal" religion from which all religion takes roots: shamanism... they're definately not against drugs either :-) SMI²LE
  22. well, I guess that's just a question of "rebecoming your natural self". The way I see it, with drugs (or through meditation), you get a glimpse of how you'd be without the ego (or with a diminished ego). Of course, once the effect is gone, you're ego will come back so it's back to square 1. The only thing you can do is try to remember your experiences and act accordingly when sober, but I agree, it's not easy... SMI²LE
  23. hehehe yeah but everyone goes crazy on the dancefloor when they hear Acid for Nothing... it may be stupid, but it works ;-) SMI²LE
  24. "is there REALLY any potential in drugs in comparison to meditation etc????" well I'd say that the main potential is that with drugs you can "get there" in like half an hour whereas with meditating you'll need about half a lifetime... OK, so the result is temporary with drugs and permanent with yoga, but still, how many people living in today's western culture can truly say that they can dedicate their lives to meditating with a 9-5 job, a wife and 2 kids? IMO for us, drugs is the ONLY way to "get there"!! SMI²LE
