  1. hehe now we're talking!!! for me (in no particular order): AP - Liquid Sun MFG - When We Dream Miranda - Hypnotic Trance Zorba - Datora MWNN - Teleport BotFB - Lord of the Dance (if D-Dave's reading this, I'm STILL waiting for a BotFB track to top this!!) Talamasca - Come On Etnica - Party Droid Perplex - Atlantis Ra - ROM Tim Schuldt - Animatronic Hyperion - Sun Flower 1200 Mics - Magic Mushrooms ESXS - Bloody Sword Hallucinogen - LSD Transwave - The Rezwalker Cosmosis - Alien Disco Pleiadians - Maya Space Tribe - Change Your Whole Life The Overlords - Sundown ... probably loads more that I can't think of right now... BTW I found that Alkaloid Experiment got old really fas, but that's just my opinion... and if any artists are reading this: PLEASE MAKE MORE TRACKS LIKE THESE!!!! DON'T LET TRUE GOATRANCE DIE!!!! SMI²LE
  2. Quest for Bajolax is one of my all time fave albums!! (BTW does this qualify as minimal?) What happened to them BTW? Are they still around? SMI²LE

I think someone already answered the question :-) SMI²LE

    MFG???

    the broke up??? SMI²LE
  5. Well if it's any comfort to you, I listened to : ASIA 2001 - AMAZON JAIA - BLUE ENERGY LUNAR ASYLUM - LUNAR ASYLUM P.COK - ACID TROOPERS SANDMAN - WITCHKRAFT UBAR TMAR - TRUE BYPASS UNIT - DROPZ OF OBSCURE ELCIPSES DIABLO - INSUFFICIENT MEMORY HUMAN BLUE - ICE MEDICINE DRUM - TALKING STICK PASSENGER - FOR ALL MANKIND and didn't find that any of them stood the test of time, some are good, but not classics IMO... SMI²LE
  6. well first of all this is SPEEDCORE!!! Second, well, call me a cheeze lover, but personally I prefer a little more melody in my music... but I especially liked Say Fuck Again - Shatterbreak :-) SMI²LE
  7. it's also the name of a chill-out album by Time Warp ;-) SMI²LE
  8. thanks for the link dude!! it's about time I listened to some new hardcore releases :-) SMI²LE
  9. ah yes, interesting question!! I too have always had the feeling that a certain melody or climax lasted a LOT longer with a track played at a party than the same track listened at home... But I don't think it's due to different versions, more to the fact that at parties your perception of time and space is altered (they don't call it trance music for nothing, eh?). Also because at parties DJs mix-in tracks, they don't play them from start to finish like you would at home, and there's the track selection too: a good DJ kindof "builds" a story out of the different tracks he plays, thus adding to the general feeling of a party, which again is not the case when you listen to it at home... SMI²LE
  10. I don't understand why so many people love Parasite... it's an average release at best... SMI²LE
  11. OLDSCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!! Now can anyone explain me why the HELL do new artists have to come up with this (brilliant) stuff and you have oldschool artists that were in the scene from day 1 making crap these days (ie. Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Astral, MWNN, Bilbao, Chrpistophe Drouillet, Dado, Bill (cosmosis) etc. etc. etc....)??? SMI²LE
  12. well psilocybe, you obviously never tried out the Fuse... of course, no goa there, but what you describe with the overcrowding and disrespect is EXACTLY how I'd describe a party over there. That's why I decided 3 years ago never to put my foot in a club again and I never did :-) SMI²LE
  13. BTW just a suggestion, don't you think it's better to organize the releases alphabetically (kinda like the reviews section of this site)? It's pretty hard to find your way through releases that aren't on the first page (newest). SMI²LE
  14. "it's really a huge mystake to say hardcore is for violent people" I KNOW!!! I was merely pointing out that in the GENERAL opinion, that's how a hardcore listener is described and that people stay away from it because of the general image attached to it!!!! I still don't get your frenchcore thing... didn't Manu le Malin initially release stuff under the Industrial Strenght label? That's from the US... ah well SMI²LE
  15. "where has the original psy music gone in NYC??" where has the original psy music gone period!! SMI²LE
  16. cool!! I've been looking for a place to post my reviews since this site didn't update anymore!! Excpect some major reviewing in the coming week!! ;-) SMI²LE
  17. "frenchcore"??? I think you mean speedcore/ terror Yeah, I liked it a lot back in the days, but I kinda lost touch with the scene these last years... damn, I really should give some new releases a listen!! :-) And yes, usually the 2 styles are exclusive, not so much for the music IMO (they're both fast and agressive derivatives of electronic music), but for the ideology behind them: goa is for hippies, peace and love and all while hardcore is for neo-nazi violent skinheads... of course this is only a very very general categorization, but I guess you can see why usually one who's into goa doesn't like hardcore... But to me music is music :-) SMI²LE
  18. "You can also write your own reviews on this site" HOW??? SMI²LE
  19. since when do they organize goa parties in big clubs?? The whole overcrowding to make money and agressive bouncers thing is what keeps me away from big clubs... They take all your money and then treat you like dirt, like you owe them something when it's the other way around cause it's YOUR money that helps them make a living... and people still come back!!! sad world we live in... SMI²LE
  20. "they haven't grown up it seems. still lost in 7 years ago!:-| " haha if only that were the case... Listen to their latest album again, they're LIGHT YEARS away from what they made in 96!! Light years in the bad direction that is... It seems to me that everybody making trance in israel right now is trying to be the next Tiesto... WHY???? It's like Dali making hard efforts to be the next Andy Warhol... nuff said :-) SMI²LE
  21. "waiting to secure distribution in Brazil "... eh like how many people in Brazil listen to this music??? surely it's a minor market compared to Europe... SMI²LE
  22. "Is techno (Jeff Mills, Villalobos, Carola...) uderground?" nopes... it might be underground but certainly not uderground ;-) but seriously, underground basically means that it's not commercial... so in practice, you could separate all sorts of music into commercial and underground, even pop music!! Of course it has been used as a flash-word in the electronic music scene, so it has greatley lost it's initial sense. But still, that doesn't mean that techno can't be underground :-) SMI²LE
  23. "Hm... isn't Dynamic also one of the "9654 israeli full-on clones that have no creative value whatsoever"?" hehe well, probably for most people but to my ears it sounded pretty original compared with Fatali, Eskimo, Psydrop, Sesto Sento etc. etc. etc. The fact that they're on Phonokol (AP's label) has probably something to do with it... :-) SMI²LE
  24. errr... I don't think that the female vocals sample from Telepathic Atmoshperes is from Tahiti... more like Eastern Europe... SMI²LE
  25. Texas Faggot Haltya Bigwigs ... if you like that sort of thing... SMI²LE
