Simon Posford and Raja Ram are working on their 3rd release!
Lemmiwinks replied to a topic in General Psytrance
"what i dont want is tracks like 7th revelation" dude, I totally loved that track!! The way it goes from 0 to (around) 120 BPM is simply amazing!!! Anyway, there's a 2 hour live performance of Simon P and Raja from Eilat desert going around the net... you can hear a very good aproximation of the future Shpongle album there... if anyone has some webspace to spare and knows how to edit tracks (not more than 2 minutes to keep it legal...) I'm willing to send them the file so they can put samples on the net for everyone to hear... I mean as long as there are samples it's all OK, right? SMI²LE -
collectors are dumb asses ;-) SMI²LE

Sorry but I always found it stupid to prefer "originals" to "re-releases"... I mean, the sound quality and all are exactly the same, so then why the hell prefer one to the other??? SMI²LE

"i have hearing trance and techno since i had 7 years old, and psy and goa since i had 14 years, but in total i have listening electronic music 8 years" you mean you're 15 years old?? SMI²LE

http://e.watt.records.free.fr you click on "artists", then on "released", then you can click on each title for samples. You can also order it on the site if you like :-) SMI²LE

you... DIDN'T like Technologic??? hmmm... guess that's the proof that human taste is unique... Then I suppose you might not like Sustentator either... SMI²LE

1996 was the year I heard Astral Projection - People Can Fly... I've been hooked ever since... SMI²LE

Oh my God, just when you thought goatrance couldn't get any more powerfull, here it is... Top album of 2003 IMO!!!! SMI²LE

"i think the Sibilant album is Pure Filth. i could never find it, and finally managed to leech it from my friend." LOL, after first reading this, I was about to comment "then why the hell did you bother leaching it?", then I got it... SMI²LE

add Deviant Electronics - Blunt Instruments to your list SMI²LE

my latest pick is Broken Toy - Devil's Playground. I just love those atmospheric sounds and the way they break into total madness around minute 5:00. and also Frequency Deluxe - Big Game Hunting... did anyone say Detroit techno? bring it on!!!! and check out that Windows error sound in the climax of Moodsyne - Niwin. That's crazy!!! Must be really freaky when on acid... SMI²LE

BTW speaking of psychedellic but not goatrance bands making a comeback, anyone here tried Front 242 - Pulse? It's pretty interesting IMO, although a bit too harsh on my ears, but I guess that's for people liking industrial... SMI²LE

who know the Trance artist who remix Voodoo People of Prodig
Lemmiwinks replied to a topic in General Psytrance
also don't forget that a none-goa remix of Voodoo People was made by the Chemical Brothers ;-) SMI²LE -
traveller : LOL!!! I just loved that part when he says "One million dollars" and everyone starts laughing :-) SMI²LE

I can't believe this!!! I don't know if you remember this, but about 8-9 years ago, former 80s porn queen Tracy Lords made a single called Control, featured on MTV and all. It was pretty cheezy but the background music was cool, none the less... well, imagine my surprise when todayI learned that the music in Control was made by none other than Juno Reactor!!!! Crazy, isn't it? I wonder if Ben Watkins shagged her... SMI²LE

About a year ago, I was amazed to see that there was another band out the called Astral Projection with did some psychedellic rock or something like that... now I see that there's another Talamasca too! check this out: http://www.metal-observer.com/gb/reviews/rev2224.html so any other name confusions? SMI²LE

"that they made a track with Astral Projection called something like "the sleeper must awake". " that was after?? I always thought it was BEFORE all the MFG albums... anyway, I'm desparatley waiting for a new album too. SMI²LE

Yep, I remember a few months ago Anoebis played Another World in his morning set... which was right after a jumbo 4-hour set of dark chaos with Battle of the Future Buddhas and Ka-Sol... I must say it was a welcome refreshment after all that dark music and I think other people on the dancefloor apreciated it too SMI²LE

he he speaking about Koxbox projects, what do you people think of The Overlords? Pop meets trance... :-) SMI²LE

LOL, I'd probably put my hand to my ears and say "oh nooooo, not Mahadeva!!!". I mean, it was an interesting track at its time, but it was WAY overlistened... Of course it could also be that I'd be so high at the party that I wouldn't even know what I'm doing and where I am, let alone recognize Mahadeva... SMI²LE

hehehe it's my personal experience that when at first you don't like something, just let it be, try other stuff you like and then when you're tired of those, re-listen to the stuff you didn't like. There are high chances that it'll hit you like a hammer and you'll be wondering "how the fuck could I NOT like this before???". I'm having a similar experience with Juno Rector lately. I simply couldn't understand all the fuss about Juno untill a few weeks ago. Then, I was tired of all the Israeli stuff that's hitting us, so I tried Bible of Dreams and fuck!!! Every sound seemed to fall in the right place, it was an amazing experience!! (BTW did you know that the track in the fighting scene in Animatrix - Final Flight of the Osiris is Conga Fury featured on Bible of Dreams?) So just let it be and have a re-listen in a few months... In the meantime you can take a listen to Psychopod - Psychopod (another KoxBox project), now THAT'S oldschool!!! SMI²LE

"I might record it to my cpu" man, that must be one of the wierdest phrases I've read here... How does one record to a cpu?? SMI²LE

"Only one etnica album is highlighted!!!"... uh, that maybe reflects the fact that Etnica went downhill from there? At first they were creative, they made their own sound from nothing, but now, they're just artists number 2356 to make minimal... Mind you, they still manage to get it together sometimes and give us a good melody (like Detonator), but it's not enough to justify considering a whole album a classic IMO. Sorry if I sound a bit harsh... SMI²LE

yeah there is a video to Land of Freedom, I've seen i t quite a few times... but, I don't have it myself, sorry... SMI²LE
