yep, I was always surprised to see how little goatrance DJs pay attention to acid scene when acid sounds like 90% goatrance... particularly since the acid scene has seen quite a revival in the last few years I've given some picks in another topic but I'm liking this track so much that I have to post it again and some other nice suff I've found:

Also, by saying that you are denying centuries if not millenia (!) of beliefs that altered states of consiousness induced by plants make the shaman able to communicate with spirits which is like the basis of shamanism all around the world. If the spirits told the shaman how wrong it was to consume drugs, then no shaman would ever take it again, no?

Stella Also, mind you that that was a time when arists actually prided themselves in being ORIGINAL as opposed to today's world where you have to sound like other people to get a record deal...

ah yes you're talking about very early trance, this is the stuff that made Sven Väth famous as a DJ back in the days, you should look at stuff released by Eye Q records, especially the Behind The Eye comps.

haha yep we have that in french too, that's how a "trip" becomes "petri" that way back in the days people could ask/ offer drugs during raves without being caught by the cops. Of course, by now all the cops know it already but we still use it to look cool lol

umm sorry but I don't agree... quite on the contrary, the substances allow us to be conscious of the ethereal body and the ethereal plane out there (and even the we can discuss, is there only ONE ethereal plane or many? maybe infinite? maybe ALL that we see in our imagination, no matter how wierd actually exists in some plane out there and we are just using some sort of telepathic telescope to see it?). Why would God have put tryptamine receptors in our brains and spread tryptamine-producing plants just about everywhere around the planet? Why is shamanism the primary form of religion and has traditions that are very similar all over the World, including in secluded tribes that have had almost no contact with the outer World for centuries? Surely there must be a reason to all this... Of course, what is wrong is subtance ABUSE, but taking subtances at certain moments in a man's life are key to their spiritual developement IMO.
