  2. Well basically a computer with a good dedicated soundcard and a pair of monitors are all you'll need to get started. After all, such big-stage names as Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Deadmau5 became famous using nothing more than a computer and a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation - like Logic Audio you've mentioned) so if they made it, why not you? ALL good synths are available as plugins (software version that "plug in" virtually into your DAW), so no need investing a lot of money into hardware when you're not sure if you will ever make it past the hobby stage. Also know that even though each software has its own group of dedicated fans and critics, they all do basically the same thing, it is just a question of learning to use it properly. Midi is simply a standard "language" that allows electronic different music instruments to "communicate" with eachother, but again, if everything is in your computer you won't really need it, except if you want to hook up your keyboard (any keyboard will do since the sound-making part will be in your computer). youtube is your friend Just type in "psytrance tutorial" and pick it up from there... fiddle around a bit and see if this is for you or if you'd rather do something else with your life lol
  3. great, this topic finally gives me the oportunity to post this
  4. so, FNALLY after years and years of admiring didge players like these I decided to finally get one for myself and try it out... man that circulatory breathing techique is HARD!!! So, anyone else around here practiced around? any tips? any nice vids to share?
  5. lol try to ID the tracks playing in the background first one is Robbie Tronco - Fright Train WARNING PRON!!!! NOT WORK FRIENDLY!!!!!!! http://xhamster.com/..._1_cireman.html http://xhamster.com/..._2_cireman.html http://xhamster.com/..._3_cireman.html
  6. World's smallest miniature train http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NKXYdzH0DKA
  7. and this one is from 2009 but EXCELLENT, I've only discovered it recently...
  8. hmm that's a pretty tight spot you're looking for... but from what I've listened to lately, I really liked: hope they're more or less what you're looking for
  9. OK, I'm a bit late catching up to this but just seen a video called If Slaughtehouses Had Glass Walls Everyone Would Be A Vegetarian hosted by none other than Sir Paul McCartney himself. Pretty shocking stuff on how animals are treated, I've seen similar footage before but this short film really concentrates all the horrors in one place... Definately worth the watch, I don't think I'll ever be a full vegetarian but it definately made me want to strongly diminish the quantity of meat I eat... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ebTQXkMUqt0&oref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fembed%2FebTQXkMUqt0
  10. lol my new favorite "stupid" track which when you think of it, is pretty similar to this classic:
  11. oh yeah I totally agree, just that when you actually go to a psy party here in Belgium the proportion of partygoers seems to be around 50-50 (at least that's my impression...)
  12. well as odd as it may sound here in Belgium the proportion of men and women at psy parties is about 50-50. As a general rule I found that what determines if more girls or men go to a venue isn't as much the music as the general atmosphere of the venue, for example if it's a big trendy club you will find like 80% men and 20% women, and the smaller the venue the more girls it seems to attract (don't ask me why tough...)
  13. ok, that gets my personal vote for coolest job here
  14. oh, here I have one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgGA-hHWxtA
  15. hmm I think it's more a question of the general mentality at the place you listen to it... for example I can gurantee that in Belgium you will find MANY girls dancing like crazy to that second track you've posted at a psy party
  16. yes you should oh yeah I think we all have such a dream
  17. oh BTW that Zenith track reminded me this other melodic-but-unconventional track, also kindof halfway between hardcore and hard trance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pb1muoEen4
  18. woah man thanks for reminding me that great track, haven't listened to it in a loooong time! That's the problem when you get old: you forget what great tunes you have in your collection lol
  19. hmm daim you're dissing like 99% of the stuff I like Well, maybe this is more up your sleeve? whatever I do I'm still a sucker for melodies whatever the style lol
  20. another of my faves: and something more modern:
