those are CYCLES dude, it is the essence of the Universe: a period of creation is followed by a period of destruction. Think of the Roman Empire: it grew and decayed centuries before capitalism existed. Think even further: the age of dinosaurs, or further still, the creation of the Earth and the Universe. Financial markets is just one (tiny) aspect of life in which the universal principle takes place. I'm amazed to see how many people take interest in oriental philosophy but at the same time fail to see a connection between that and our modern everyday life... anyway, good day to you too

hmm ok maybe my message will go better if I used an analogy: imagine you just bought a new Mercedes, you drive it for a while and are happy until one day the engine just won't start. A guy just passes by at that moment and tells you that Mr Mercedes is a greedy bastard that made the car not start after a while to force you to buy a new one, that way you spend all your hard-earned cash to make him even richer. You spend your time throwing your fist in the air and cursing Mr Mercedes for beeing such a greedy bastard and are still left without a car... OR you start learning how cars work in the first place, suddenly you realize that your engine not starting that morning simply because the spark plugs need replacement so all you have to do is get some new ones for 20€ and the problem is fixed, you get in your car and drive away, realize your mistake of not changing your spark plugs on time and take care not to do the same mistake twice. My point being that there ARE solutions out there, other than saying "we are fucked" and so on, but it takes time and effort to learn how things actually work so it's much more easy just to pop a DVD in your player and watch a 1hour movie that pretends to give you THE answers. "Capitalism is dead, now it's time to find a new way." type of arguments have been around for centuries (anyone even bothered to read Marx around here?) yet surprisingly everywhere in the World were such "new ways" were implemented by the people were total faliures... so, call me a yuppie working long hours to be a slave of the "system", as long as someone doesn't show me an alternative system that WORKS in real life (not just idealists gathering around a joint speaking of how things should be) then I'll keep to my way of life thank you

LOL mate you are so far deep into your hippie alter-mondialist speech that I don't think any rational conversation would be possible with you. Don't you think that it's time to grow up and accept responsibilities as an adult rather than start crying and saying it's all "their" fault? I can't imagine how someone with a rational mind could even seriously consider the possibility that everything that's going bad in the world is solely the responsability of a handfull of greedy capitalists who wake up every day and wonder what can they do to make a few more millions while making some poor souls even more misrable than they are. (Reality check: Mr Burns is NOT real! lol) So please mate, try learning some economics 101 instead of wasting your time watching conspiratist crap like Zietgeist, believe me in the long term it would be MUCH more beneficial to you

well we have discussed this already to a pretty large extent in another topic or, if you don't feel like scrolling through the 3 pages of discussion you can read these arguments who basically hit the nail on it's head on the whole Zietgeist thing and won't make you want to bother watching another minute of it: zitgeist = crapgeist

was MASSIVELY dissapointed by the first one, I mean it might seem impressive at first view but the more you check the background the more you realize that the "revelations" are just theories made out of thin air with probably 10% actual facts behind. AFAIK the 2nd one was a bit more factual... hmmm say 20% lol So anyway, I'm not really inclined to see the 3rd unless it starts by admitting that jumping to conclusions without facts is not information at all.
  6. BTW a bit off topic but every time someone mentions drum&bass it reminds me of this hilarious vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlZpSd2lRJQ&feature=related
  7. oh ok how bout this then? http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EzLFDidzRM
  8. not very familiar with the style but THE darkest drum&bass track I've ever came across is this (be sure to turn up the bass though cause it's all in the subbass) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1B9juGyNrg it really feels like it's the year 5000 and robots are ruling the earth lol
  9. ah yes I connect to facebook in https and apparently when I'm on youtube it does it as well now... thanks for the infos
  10. call me stupid but I'm just LOVING this track right now... I know it's cheezy as hell and is like a crossblend between Deadmau5 and Swedish House Mafia with some vocals on top but still, for some reason I really like it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCJPerKjllQ PS does anyone know why youtube links don't show up like they used to anymore??
  11. this is like THE trip-hop anthem for me, everything that was made afterwards wasn't as good IMHO... I suppose you already know it but in case you missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM_ZQZigmN0
  12. Well, like all electronic subgenres there was a golden age followed by a decay in the quality of new tunes, although I've just stumbled on a track that reignited my interest for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAbIfx0dodc&feature=player_embedded so anyone has any recomendations? thanks
  13. FUCK and there I was wondering what plugins Excision uses to make his music... who would've guessed it was all live recorded? lol
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLqTieDoUm0 just heard this mindblowing set by Rawar... but could anyone help me ID the tracks? Especially the 1st and the 2nd ("behold a time-travelling machine" sample at 3:55) many thanks for your inputs
  15. thanks mate now can anyone please help me with the rest? I think most of them are by a project named Z?
  16. have no idea... but to my ears it sounds more like nitzhonot made by Greeks (Cyan maybe?)... and I highly doubt it's made by Harr-El

    Dr Who?

well yep, like you said, sometimes there are filler episodes but IMO that's inevitable with a series, especially a long-lasting one. I kindof lost interest when they replaced Rose but the new 5th series is coming back in force, I really love it... and the new assistant as well (a scottish lass, of course )
  18. mother f.... I just had one of the most intense moments listening to psy and would like so share it with you all... this is like taking dark psy to a whole new level IMO (and I was thinking that this style has reached its limit years ago...) turn up to the max, and enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et0pcTMO1GE&playnext=1&list=PL8BDC50F9EEE2933E so what would your pick be? (preferably new tracks please, we all know our IFOs by heart by now )
  19. hehe well that afrikaans accent cracks me up everytime BTW their rapping skills aren't any worse than 50 Cents or Eminem's IMHO... and the Pink floyd undies are totally cool (still searching for some to buy lol)
  20. this might have already been discussed in another topic

    Dr Who?

just seen the start of the 5th series and I realized that there aren't any topics here discussing it... Am I the only fan around here? In case you didn't know it is in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the longest lasting TV series ever, with the first episode airing way back in...1963!!
  22. well blimey that's even more than IFO... didn't even know Aftermath qualified as a classic... (and no I DON'T have it, otherwise I would've gladly sold it to you for that price lol)
  23. ok I kindof agree with what you are saying here BECAUSE THE MUSIC IS GETTING BAAAAAAAD!!! anyway, I'm starting to think that you're just counter-arguing for the sake of discussion, I mean, if you really believed everything you were saying, why waste your time on a psytrance forum in the first place, why not be just fan no. 16875412 on Britney Spear's fan page and spend your day talking about how cool her new haircut is?
