OMG how could I miss out on this one? EXCELLENT tune!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4wde35I8jw
-
ah ok, I understand you now But for the video... well, how can we make a non-offensive tribute then?
-
duuude why all the negativity? Sure, the Love Parade has grown to be über-commercial (but then again, so has the psy scene, have you listened the latest IM album?), still the values defended by the Love Parade are the same as when it started back in 1989, and it deserves massive respect for that IMO. And the video is a tribute to the victims... how can it be offensive? But yes, that said, that mayor was a complete idiot, aparently he insisted on organizing it in his town for the money even when he knew very well that it was impossible to accomodate all the people. He should at least resign immediately IMO. well in case you don't want to bother to turn on your tv, here's a link with the story: Death at Love Parade

Emotional/inspirational electronic music!

lol you say no cheeze and then you post happy hardcore which is like the king of cheeze anyway, I've had these in my collection for quite a while (but I listen to them on headphones to avoid having my neighbours think I'm a pedophile lol) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZRUdHNAUHg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yey3JWKMlcE -

Development of electronic music in the world
Lemmiwinks replied to crtmn's topic in Other Electronica
lol I'm not saying it's NOT cheezy, just that I prefer it by far to the hoards of american r&b/ dance crossproductions that are everywhere these days (Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, etc). I mean fuck, even compared to the new IM and Yahel albums this is like underground lol ok I get what you're saying, I'm kindof feeling the same way. I don't think there has been any really new inovation in the electronic music scene in the last 5 years except for dubstep (which is probably the reason why dubstep is taking over more and more of the underground electronic music scene all over the world). http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6X8pu5_nog&feature=related even Hitler is starting to notice lol http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2Kuva29Yyg -
Development of electronic music in the world
Lemmiwinks replied to crtmn's topic in Other Electronica
Belgium had quite a reputation for making jumpstyle, there was a moment where you heard jumpstyle EVERYWHERE, in clubs, at parties, even on daytime radio. Sadly though the trend kindof died out and kids are back to r&b, Lady Gaga and other crap. Not saying I'm a big jumpstyle fan, but it was nice to see some electronic music take over the mainstream scene for a while http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yzcfqRDct4&feature=related still one of my favorite tunes -
well it's a parody, what do you expect? lol Say whatever you will but it's still a billion times funnier than all those romantic comedies that have a few jokes in the first 15 minutes and then like nothing happens for the next hour and you end up wondering why the hell did you pay for you ticket (then you realize that you did it to please your gf lol)
-
well from the trailer (and for anyone who's seen the Twilight saga) this is excellent!! I hope the actual movie will be in line with expectations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW0fq9yBwuE "- Jacob, why did you just take off your shirt? - My contract says I have to everytime I get 10 minutes of screentime." LMAO!!!

OMG new fave tune!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdpkCIm96xY&playnext_from=TL&videos=hkKDOSkyr_o&feature=grec_index

don't know but to my ears it sounds more like classic german trance than goa... maybe you'd have more luck if you searched in that category? Great tune BTW
-
EAXCTLY!! That's why if there's only one album you'd get your hands on in 2010 it must be Alienapia - Goapocalipsis. I just can't hype this enough, it is like THE quintessence of 20 years of psytrance evolution IMO, I don't see how anything will come even close to it in the next few years. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvnJt4XI2LE if the tension-release around 5:00 doesn't make you jump off your chair and start dancing there's something wrong with you
-
mostly "eurodance"... little did I know back then that most eurodance was made by classic trance producers who wanted to reach a higher audience, so in a way I guess I can say that I've always been into trance music since it's roots http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfdkKYHlZp4 (had absolutley no idea at the time that Jam & Spoon were among the pioneers of the trance scene...) Later on, like most people living around these parts I was a huge Thunderdome fan, not necessarily because the music was so great but because it was the most widely available "underground" scene around here. That said, I still enjoy some of it from time to time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0XyzRCaKUs

WTF a 5 year-old can make a better tune...

Are you interested in the good old Psynews contests ?
Lemmiwinks replied to mars's topic in General Psytrance
well... pretty much so, yes. Once upon a time there was a dude called Anoebis who would throw parties in Belgium playing mostly oldschool goa and holding strong against the minimal virus that was spreading throughout the scene. He would go to great lenghts to keep playing oldschool since almost no big lables were releasing it anymore, so he'd find hidden underground unreleased material from the good ol days. He was friends with a certain Mars, owner of goatrance.free.fr MANY many people were praising oldschool and saying how superior it was to the new trend on this forum so one day Mars and Anoebis said "well, since big lables don't release oldschool anymore, why now make a label by ourselves". And the rest is history -
Are you interested in the good old Psynews contests ?
Lemmiwinks replied to mars's topic in General Psytrance
yes but on the other hand this is what always separated psynews (or should I say goatrance.free.fr? ) from other psytrance sites: a common passion for oldschool, and that has been going on for long before Suntrip was made (actually, Suntrip was made BECAUSE of all the oldschool fans who complained on this forum about the new direction that psytrance took ). So, having all those die-hard suntrippers hanging around is kindof normal IMO, it's kindof like having it all come around a full circle. -
lol not quite but I have nice clean-shaven look, kindof the exact oposite of what you'd expect from a psytrancer (at least back in those days, they didn't have progressive back then lol)
-
well actually that's full-on, not goatrance...
-
voted mostly psytrance simply because psytrance is a much broader genre than goatrance is and there is much more room for innovation. But of course, about 80% of the classics I cherish most are goatrance
-
well actually few people know that that Astral track is actually a tribute to a much older track made by Trlilithon in 1991 http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt6YOA-q3bA
