ha new favorite track (more on the dub side of things): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShY1RKdCfJo

Well I would've expected someone who's done psychedellics to understand better that kind of phrase... WTF man, it is SUPPOSED to look fake!!! As in contrast with the real world, this is NOT a Final Fantasy rip-off where they tried to make everything look like the real world in CG. It is precisely all those landscapes that seemed to come from a dream world that makes it all worth it!! WTF, next you'll be telling me "I don't like psytrance with all the wierd electronic sounds, why don't they use acoustic instruments and singing instead?". No really, WTF?!?!
-
yeah and 75% of psytrance consists of random sounds... IMO in order to apreciate a form of art you have to "understand" what the artist was trying to do in the first place (in the case of Avatar "the main characters gaying it up in the forest" as you put it actually simbolized their communion with nature and how far from it our modern civilisation has become, which is much deeper than your average blockbuster movie).

yes, that one is part of my "unconvincing explanations" category news flash: the dharma community ARE the Others (ever since the dharma got killed by Benjamin when a kid, remember?). So technically speaking, Ben should've known about the Japanese priest if what you say is true. Agreed As long as you don't come here in a fews months telling me "there'll be a 7th season where EVERYTHING will be explained. I mean really EVERYTHING!!"
-
oh I don't know, let's say about 80% of everything that's going on Off the top of my head: the tropical polar bears, the fact that you have all these communities sharing the Island with apparently no knowledge about eachother, the "wormhole" in Antarctica and Tunisia, visions of Walt when he's not dead (considering there's some sort of logic between the appearances and dead carachters)... there must be like a hundreds of stuff that have been thrown over during the seasons that aren't really linked to eachother, or have been linked in a completely unconvicing manner (like the fact that Kate and Sawyer's ex-gf new eachother). HAHAHAHA Yes, like one of those moments would be right now... Or do you mean that having an Egyptian Temple on a tropical island ran by a Japanese priest makes any sense to you? Anyway, I know that we'll never settle this over a forum and in spite all my negative commentaries I'll still watch it till the end so I guess this conversation is pretty pointless, it's just that I have some extra time to kill this week
-
Maaan all this talk for all these years and still nothing... Have they released anything apart from the One single? (which I quite like BTW ) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_x-yhQSYfw PS hah that's odd, I didn't even think that Astral new about Push, it would be REALLY cool if they made a remix of Universal Nation

well I suppose you're the kind of guy that sees every random element in Lost as a sign of meticulous planning... here's just a little extract from an interview with Lindelof about season 6: "We're no longer stalling." Humm I wonder why he would've said that if everything was meticulously planned from the beginning? I also happen to know that Lindelof's intention in the beginning was just to present more and more carachters with flashbacks on what they did before crashing on the island, and then they turned the plot around after recieving a lot of negative feedback from fans (remember Nikki and Paulo? ). So sorry but I don't fall for this "master plan that will reveal everything in the final episode" theory that all the fans are talking about. And finally... it's the last freakin season and they are STILL adding more carachters and mysteires? Come on... if it was that well-planned then all this season should be dedicated EXCLUSIVELY to solving all the mysteries. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the biggest surprise at the end of season 6 will be... that there will be a season 7

Meh actually I've had the Burial album in my "don't like" pile for quite a while now. Listened to it again after reading this thread and still don't see what the fuss is about. Its overall just too calm and unengaging, I like my stuff with a bit more umph. But I guess that if you're the kind of guy who's into progressive than this should do (progressive dubstep? lol). As for the "who makes better dubstep" question, well Bar 9 is my personal favorite of the moment (of course his stuff has about as much in common with Burial as full-on has with progressive, but anyway). http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0QznJ2cjKg

Seen it last week (FINALLY ) and I must say that I'm impressed. I don't think I need to repeat the fact that the visuals are absolutely stunning, even moreso if you've already tried psychedellics because of the overuse of violet and blue, it all looked very... psytrancy (IMO). Now for the sotyline... well, given that I was expecing it to be crap from reading other reviews, I was actually positively surprised. OK, there was an overuse of clichés drawing from Pocahontas, Star Wars, Starship Troopers and even a bit of Aliens (NOT a good idea to have Sigourney Weaver play a major role IMO). But the message was a good one IMO, it drew a LOT of parallels between the phantasy world and American's overconsumption of natural resources of third world countries. The "we will fight terror with terror" phrase is an obvious wink to the Bush regime and how it handled Irak. So yes, it might be a bit on the simple side but at the same time, if it made millions of Americans (and others) question their consumption habits then it's quite a challenge in itself, no?

oh and this one I like a lot as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_99Q4uxJUs

ha good point Although in that case, why 2007? why not 1957 or 2017?

hehe how bout this one: Dubstep remix of the Age Of Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfHmV0QR7T0 and this is my no1 dubstep track of the moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veL83eTWnkY can't get enough of it!! :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford: [EDIT: hey what happened to the posford smiley?? ]
-
interesting... although I'm getting the feeling that (as always) the producers are just adding plot twists for the sake of it (like WTF is that Japanese priest doing there?? and yeah right, a fucking Hydrogen bomb explodes next to Juliet's face and she's still alive??). Also, the whole parallel reality thing is pretty wierd, I mean if we go that way, then shouldn't there be some parallel reality every time one of the main carachters make a big decision? Ah well, I'm hooked, I guess I'll have no other alternative than to watch it all till the end
-
Well yeah she died at the end but then again Locke was supposed to be dead at the end of season 4 as well (actually he WAS dead, he was just impersonated by some sort of spirit, check out the season 5 finale to remember )
-
OK I know I've complained a bit about the plot twists in Lost but I still can't resist the urge of seeing how it all unfolds. Season 6 (and final) is scheduled to start next week and I'm already spending my time pondering how is it all gonna end. (well my personal bet is that the finale won't really explain much after all or the explanations given won't be convincing, kindof a "WHAT??? all this for that?" moment, still I'm eager to find out ) Sneak peak of the 1st episode of the season: Julliet dies and the John Locke impersonator is really the smoke monster!!

What is the most crazy/ insane psytrance track you have heard?
Lemmiwinks replied to TheJoker's topic in General Psytrance
Hmm I'm amazed that noone mentioned Chi AD - Eye Am The I, that one is definately my no.1 crazy track (in the sense that it makes people on the dancefloor go crazy). I remember there was a party and they played it, this guy totally high sat on a floor with a djembé and tried to beat as fast as the music went, he almost passed away from exhaustion lol. If that's not proof enough it's crazy I don't know what is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGBK2NHprek -
Oops I meant Aliens... sorry, I was typing that list really fast cause I had to go back to work BTW Do you plan on releasing another track in the same style some day? I'd really like that

Backside album sleeves to jewel cases
Lemmiwinks replied to Pandemonium's topic in General Psytrance
err... don't you think it would be easyier just to buy an extra copy of the CDs second hand? I don't really see why one would want to sell the backside sleeve and basically be left with an unsellable CD afterwards... And of course, I'm supposing that this has nothing to do with the fact that most illegal downloads on the net only have scans of the front cover...? -
Supernatural by Graham Hancock
Lemmiwinks replied to CyclotronMajesty's topic in Books and literature!
hmm yeah that one has been on my "to read" list for some time now... however the 1000+ pages have made me have second thoughts on it. I mean if I read a 1000+ page book I want to be REALLY sure that it's worth my time and effort. -
oh so in other words you have already listened to 99% of the tracks that fit your search criteria and don't really care about any recomendations here cause you already know the tracks... happy trolling to you too
-
well you've obviously haven't seen the tribute to Elysium topic then, have you? Anyway, my main issue is that these posts have all the trademarks of a psynew troll: people posting wierd things in a "scientific" manner, reminding me of such illustrious former psynews figures as feathers and Jacob... anyway, I guess it really doesn't matter what I think about all this, if you're ok with him then please recommend him some stuff. And to give an ON topic reply for once: Pleiadians - IFO album is definately one for you, deepXcode
-
well it's not his tastes since I have tastes that are similar, it's the way he asks for it... like on one hand he's asking for recomendations and on the other he's almost spitting in your face telling you what he doesn't want... I know of people who have been banned for less than that over here...
